Acts 2:1-6 is a preparation for the last days, and the things that will follow are found throughout the O.T. in many passages. The Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord are the subject matter of nearly two thirds of the O.T. Peter did not say THESE THINGS are the fulfillment of what Joel said, and that is whe he would have had to say if he were referring to the cloven tongues, the rushing wind, and the spoken languages as the fulfillment of Joel 2. As a matter of fact, the other tongues are a fulfillment of Isa 28:11-12 not Joel. Israel, here, is being given a second chance to get right after Christ 's prayer in Luke 23:34 . We are dealing with a renewed offer of the Kingdom and it is valid until the final rejection in Acts 7. All those things of Joel were postponed until the Church Age is over. The Spirit hasn 't yet been poured out on all flesh and those signs in the Sun and Moon are yet to take place. You are preaching another gospel in Acts 2 for today.
