Reading scripture does not assure understanding as the enemy is here as well. Ask the Father to hear His voice that you might see His Word and understand. These are gifts given by His Spirit not by ears or eyes of the flesh. 17 Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
