"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." If you have ever known a thief, or got to know how they think and work; you'd better understand the way the Lord uses this for a comparison. But in addition to the way the thief works, which is important to know about the Day of the LORD; the fact that He has had His eye on them and planning well ahead.
