"Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word." When we come to Jesus in the first place; isn't it because we are scared and ashamed because of our sins, and we are looking for Jesus to rescue us from ourselves? What then changes once we just begin to learn the Scriptures, that we all of a sudden CAN'T BE TOLD ANYTHING? A lying spirit, and sneaking self-love and pride!
