The journey of life is a wonderful one as man once enjoyed the beauty of the trees and the grasshoppers as well as the singing of the birds Yet as life comes to an end the fear of heights and the sounds of the birds sings which once brought joy brings fear and desire of all the days of youth as well as romance goes away Then man is carried to his grave and those that mourn him are in the streets The soul returns to the Lord that made it awaiting the glorified body promised by the Lord Jesus Christ who is the first fruits of all those who sleep in the grave
Fear (reverence) God and keep His commandments, For this is the whole (completion of ) man.
Keeping God's commandments gives us a relatonship with God, without which we are an incomplete being.
All Scripture is given to men through the Spirit
Prophecy never came from man.
Christ gave Himself to man as a substitue for his failures.
Both are from well driven nails.
Solomon clearly doesn't believe in death, but rather a spiritual transition, a separation from the physical body. He understands that he is not his body, and that his body, although a marvelous wonder, will return to the dust from which it was made.
All of these references are allusions to that transition.
The silver cord tethers the spirit to the body, and may very well function as an umbilical cord from which your body is quickened by the spirit.
Now he references parts of a metaphor that he feels doesn't require an explanation.
The golden bowl would be the vessel from which you drink. The pitcher is used to transfer the water from the well to the bowl, and the wheel at the cistern grants you the ability to draw from the well to fill the pitcher.
The metaphor is about drawing on the waters of life (spiritual refreshment) that you receive from God. Almost certainly the same waters Christ mentions to the woman at the well.
This verse surely carry a deep meaning for it show that there should be no far for old age. This is God creation and again mankind fear death its all our passage and to reach to the father we shall all pass through there as well its a long journey yes but remember after this there shall be happiness with the Lord high up in heaven where there will be no day or night its praising and worshiping isn't that wonderful.
A wonderful compliation when they were all together and had a temple unto Jehovah and they were beset with atheists and pagan superstitouis gnostics all about them having to deal with ungodly authoritarians while tryimg to be faithful to the Lord their God and not strange
Christians are necessarily obligated to obey God's Law as it is portrayed in the Scripture. Unfortunately, too many professing Christians do not know what the Scripture teaches and do not really care. They want the benefits of Christianity, but they do not want to comply withits laws
Many have attended classes to learn how to teach, many learned from each other. Religion can be confusing, and the world is big, and there are so many sources but the bible is my only source of learning interweaved with prayer. When one represents God it should be acceptable to God. This is a scripture that every teacher should acknowledge. Our job is to take care of the sheep, everyone should apply God’s word to their life, to apply means to take action, seek out. To truly teach is to find the best we will find that a wise person lives with eternity values. The scriptures give us eternity values, a sermon should never be rushed, it should always be much thought and care taken. This is God we are speaking for, we should show the world how awesome the creator truly is.
In verse 6 Solomon is using four different metaphors (parables) to say ''death of the flesh''. We might say ''kick the bucket'' or ''bought the farm''. Verse 7 then explains as simply as can be stated what happens next. There is nothing new under the sun.
ECC.12:6 if i may ; i see this as things that man has made such as silver cord or a golden bowl or broken pitcher or a broken wheel as for the cistern. It reflects on the living waters of life then as unto Christ becoming the the true source of life. The whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commandments. In psalms 40:7 speaks about the volume as to which you shall be judged out of. I hope this shine a light so that others may express their thoughts as well.
I understand what Solomon mean't when he said this. No matter how far we go in life there never seem to be an end. We are never satisfied. The more knowledge we get on this earth, the more miserable we are. Solomon really knew what he was tlaking about.
Youth is the time to serve God with all your vigor and when you can see, hear, are not afraid of the dark and confrontation or high places. We must remember that we are to be witnesses of what Jesus (God) has done for us and that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost .
Extensive theory about life in general, from a master intellectual. Needs to be read, studied, and understood by all of humanity, and put in to practice.
Knowledge of these principles will point humanity toward the uphill road.
I really enjoy Ecclesiastes because it speaks of spirtual happenings in a way a gift type way of the writer. It is one of the only books that speaks of death in a specific manner. "silver cord and bowl".
We don’t need many books to learn about God, the bible is all we need. If we keep God’s commandments we will have understanding that the wisdom of man and his doctrines can not provide

The 6th verse has me baffled. Anyone have any thoughts
