About 23 years ago I really dreaded going to work. I was dealing with a lot of adversity at work and a very unkind and non professional boss. I talked with my dad a wonderful person and a pastor about the situation and my dad prayed with me and for me and told me to read Psalms 37 in its entirety every morning before work followed by a pray specifically about my situation. Psalms 37 a source of strength for me God gave me peace and the manager left for another job and apologized for her terrible behavior.

The counsel of God is His word When I walk in the word of God I will be Blessed. The ungodly know not where they are going !!! Standing in the way of sinners is a trap a snare !!! Sitting with the scornful is mocking God counting Him little as nothing putting Christ to an open shame !!!! Jesus I choose you I choose to be Blessed !!!!

Chapter 4 9 when Jesus passed through Samaria it was by divine appointment. he choose it because He had to meet the Samaritan woman alone so that she would draw the whole city to him. Jesus can impact a person 's life to draw thousands to him.

All I have to do is hold on to the confidence that I will and am being transformed into His likeness from day to day and glory to glory . Can only be done in fellowshipping with Him and being in His word day to day. Glory to God I can 't ask for anything better !!!!

Chapter 27 I read everyday makes my day go better
  • Rev. Autrey on Matthew 5:27 - 12 years ago
Verse 27 29 "You have heard the commandment that says, 'You must not commit adultery. ' But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. So if your eye, even your good eye, causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your hand, even your stronger hand, causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. " We must understand that Jesus is the way God spoke to us in the Old Testament, otherwise he would be correcting God when he says, "But I say unto you. " God does not contradict himself, nor does he allow anyone else to. The answer to this mystery is to understand that God is one God, but he has more than one way of dealing with us, or more than one personality. But Jesus is the way or the personality through whom God spoke to us in the Old Testament, and the way he speaks to us now. God 's will for us is progressive. That is, he does not reveal all his will at one time. It is a little at a tme, line upon line and precept upon precept. So Jesus as God is giving us a further revelation of what he wants us to do. Jesus further says, "You have heard that the law of Moses says, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. ' Actually it only says 'love your neighbor. ' It was the people who added the 'hate your enemy. ' See, they thought it was alright to love only those who loved them, and to hate those you don 't like. And that 's the way most people feel today. They have a long list of people they hate. But Jesus clears this up by saying, "But I say unto you, " meaning "But I God now say unto you. " Then he goes on to say, "Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you. " Jesus as God was opening up the Gospel to us in a way we have not understood it before. He was showing us the full extent of God 's love. God loves us even when we do not love him. As Jesus said, this is demonstrated by the fact that God lets his sun shine oo the bad people, too. See, Jesus does not give salvation just to the people in our little circle, people we like. Salvation is available to everyone. And that 's proof of how much God love us. May God as Jesus bless you!

this scripture is very powerful, all have sinned and all have fallen short of the Glory of God. this scripture is for the godly and ungodly. the only differences is the godly have been forgiven of their sins. once the ungodly repent there sins will be forgiven. No man is exempt fro sinning but thanks be to the Father he had a plan o, a blue print of how he was going to put us back in fellowship with Him

This book and chapter just dropped in my spirit while I was preparing for bed. Just before that I found myself singing 'You promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone '. So I am convinced that this was God 's way of reassuring me that He 's still with me and my family. He 's still there fighting our battles and protecting us. Thank You Lord!!!
  • Cato on John 14:3 - 12 years ago
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

  • Ginger on Psalms 37 - 12 years ago
About 23 years while working in a very negative environment with a very prejudice manager I dreaded going to work. I talked to my dad about the treatment that I received daily. My dad prayed with me and for me and instructed me to read Psalms 37 in its entirety every morning when I arrive at work and say a prayer specifically about the situation. I can truly say that God turned the situation around. The two managers that tried to break my spirit and have the entire office dislike me left the agency and apologized to me before they left. Psalms 37 is a great source of strength and comfort for me. I 'm thankful and grateful to God for blessing me with a wonderful dad who was a kind and giving pastor for over 40 years and embodied God 's word.

  • Joyce Wright on Job 1 - 12 years ago
I have had the Job experience in my life it 's really awesome to have that kind of faith and trust in God. I didn 't handle it as strong and faithful as Job did, I complained and told God that I was done and He put me here just to suffer when in all actuality All God is doing is strengthening me, settings stable immovable foundations in my life, I never had as much as Job did but now I know why, it 's because I couldn 't handle it before now. Now I have the full concept of seeking first the Kingdom of God and all of His righteousness. God is truly ajjealous GOD and he makes no mistakes, that 's why we are not to lean on our own understanding but in all our ways acknowledged Him, we cannot trust in thing or other people, only GOD can save our souls and bless us to spend eternity with Him. God just want to know that He can trust us to be good Stuarts over what He gives us on this earth. Don 't let things make you, be defined by who you are in CHRIST JESUS and you SHALL have a great life. God bless all.
  • Peter Enya on Mark 8:36 - 12 years ago
What is important is eternity. All the struggles, Hustles and Bustles of this life will fade away. Seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and every other thing will be added to you. Beware!, the Bible warns, soon and very soon, time shall be no more when the trumpet shall sound. Work towards eternity.

The word of God will cut and the Word of God will heal. His word will also reveal to me the thoughts and intents of my heart that I do not know about as of yet. I praise God that He knows me better than I know myself. !!! Sometimes that is scary but Praise God when I allow His word to do what it is suppose to do then I will be Blessed beyond measure.
