You may read John, chap 14 and 15.
So, I was voraciously wanting more of Jesus after that, and I think this particular verse it telling us how their hearts were prepared to do such unusual things when you consider this from a human perspective. Why else would the disciples drop their whole lives to follow Jesus. There may have been other supernatural dreams, visions, but that verse I believe is the key, although being fully God and fully Human, would be something to behold I am sure everyone with an open heart to God would feel drawn irresistibly towards Him.
Satan know everything. The goodness of worshiping God.
Satan know that in the word of God,there is life. This is why he tried to convince Jesus to step down from this belief in verse4.
Satan knows that in worshiping there is a grate reward. This is why we see him commanding Jesus to worship him in exchange of the world in verse9.
In verse6,Satan manifest him self that He knows how caring God is to us. He knows that He will not allow us to slip down,He will not watch us being tortured and any harm to us. As it is written that He will "command" the angels to come for our aid.
Do not be mislead by him,as he comes like the promised prophet and give a biblical prophecy. He knows that in Lord Jesus we have everything.
Let us focus on Jesus a lone.
There are many scriptures that speak of the Grace of God, but a couple of my favourites ones are:
- John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.
- Isaiah 53:4-5; 4 “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” 5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
- Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
