    Hello.

Thank you in advance for your knowledge and assistance!

My question is what is the difference between The Holy Spirit and The Seven Spirits of God Almighty before His throne?
  • Jazzy - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Its personal. God's word is a declaration of God's desire to be in relationship with you

Google For God so loved the world that He

What God's word says about God's word Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

God's word reveals you to you.

    Hello Janita,

You have come to a good place here. We all want that. We want to read the Word of God, learn it, hide it in our hearts, speak it to all who will listen, believe it to be true, and receive from it the words of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

I encourage You to pray and ask God to teach You from the Bible as You read it. For me, I tend to recommend reading the gospels first because they contain the record of the life of Jesus Christ, our Savior. To me, knowing more about His life is very important because He is the one who saves us and the object of our devotion and worship. He is the Source of our every need. I have read the gospels many times. They are my favorite Bible books to read. Then I usually read Acts, then the Epistles. After this I like to read Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Joshua and on through the remainder of the historical books up to Job. Then I read the Psalms as they show how much David loved and depended on the LORD. then I read proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Next, I read, the remaining prophetic books in the OT and lastly, Revelation. This will take a few years to complete, but there is no hurry. Jesus meets us in His word through the Holy Spirit and teaches us and touches us in profound ways. But for you, you should prayerfully seek how the Lord desires to walk You through the Bible His way.

We are glad you came to this forum. Feel free to ask any questions you may have as you read. There are many people on here with a wealth of knowledge to help us. God bless you, Janita! Is there any way I can pray for you today?

From some of the scripture's trumpets were beaten silver or brass according to the commandment of God when building the temple and making of instruments.
  • Emma Jean Nelson on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Would a trumpet back then have been like a Shofar? And the lamp steads more like the Menorah?

OOOhhh what great faith you have TJ Jackson. Just in simple statement, I LOVE GOD, is so powerful. That is the very first instruction that we were given from Jesus. Think you for breaking all the scriptures down into a simple sentence. I LOVE YAH. Keep going on in the faith brother. I pray that the love that Yah has shown you, may be spread abroad to others as well.

Rick Haggett Man in Garden of eden lost spiritual connection Genesis 1:27 created in Gods own image [ John 2:24

God is Spirit], God in Genesis 2:7 formed man of the dust of the formed man dust of ground body then God breathed

into man breath of life and man became a living soul[breath life chai nephash] so man was body soul and spirit in the

beginning. When the downfall occurred man lost His spiritual connection with God and only had Body and soul no

spiritual connection. A person born again of Gods Spirit gets exactly that Gods gift of spiritual connection which was

lost in Genesis, that's why Ephesians 2:5 says when we were dead in trespasses and sins born that way all people after

Adam and Eve. The exception of course Jesus Christ. The Gift of God holy spirit is the quickening spirit it is eternal life.

When a christian dies I.E.falls asleep the spirit goes back to god who gave it the body dust of the ground and the soul

when we take out last breath that is the end of soul or breath life. When Christ returns for the church His body those

believed will be raised up and given a body like His glorious body, in the book of revelation the just and unjust will be

raised to face judgement according to the deeds or works. This is my understanding scripturally, the challenge that

presents itself here is biblically some teach spirit and soul are the same identical item but I don't see that scripturally.

The word spirit can be translated life breath wind so this must be understood in context of usage.
  • Rick Haggett on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Confusion here. When Christ comes into the sky to be seen by all but not actually returning to earth, the dead in Christ will rise first, then the living will be called up to meet the lord in the air. I would then assume that those that never got called up who are alive on the earth and those that are dead in their graves will then have to live through the 7 year great tribulation? Second Question. The Bible tells us that the soul that sinneth shall surely die. We are all sinners therefore when a person passes away if their soul goes to heaven or hell then why does Christ need to come back to the earth in the sky to take someone with him when they have already been taken from the grave when they died? The Bible tells us that the dead are dead and conscience of nothing. I thought the soul and the body where one as God breathed the life through his nostril and created a living soul, a man. I hope this makes sense and you can find me scriptures or explain just how this works. I have 2 different versions here of what happens after a person dies. If their soul immediately went to heaven then would that not make them immortal? Thank you.

    Jonas,

If you are a believer in Jesus, you are in a knowing relationship with God and you will grow to know Him more and more as you walk with Him daily. But if you are also wanting to know more about what God is like, you can google: The Attributes of God and choose an obvious Christian site to study about those.

David, thanks for the humor. I too enjoy some humor. I mean, how can someone who is already "on-fire" for the Lord burn?
  • David - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Jesse This is my sense of humor do you know why the oil didn't burn our brother John, because he was already

spiritually Hot for the Lord LOL I've always had a unique sense of humor.
  • Gigi - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Yes, that is what I read about John. I think my source said he died about 98 A.D.

Also, before his exile, John planted many church congregations in Asia Minor. (Smyrna was one) He appointed bishops (overseers) in each church, laying hands on them to anoint them for service to that congregation. He appointed Polycarp over Smyrna, and Ignatiaus over Antioch. There were others. I just can't recall all of them. These two bishops where martyred, but we have some of their writings preserved to read. These bishops had direct relationships with the apostles, carrying on their teachings and practices for the next generation of believers in that early 1st century.

Amazing that John lived such a long time. That was probably unusual in those times due to persecution, martyrdom, and the harshness of life in those times.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
    Godwin,

John was the only original apostle to not die a martyr's death. All the other original apostles were put to death in a very severe way. What is interesting is that tradition says that around 86 A.D., they tried to execute John by dipping him in burning oil. And after they pulled him out, nothing was wrong with him. And they figured that they couldn't kill him, so they decided to exile him off onto the island of Patmos.

According to the early church fathers, John was sent out onto the island with a group of criminals. That's where they sent the criminals. And they worked hard labor. They worked in the mines over on the island of Patmos. Please keep in mind that John is in his early 90's when he was sent off to this island. And his illegal activity was that he was a Christian, because Christianity was an illegal religion. And since he was the last remaining original apostle, they really wanted to get him out of the way.

Many don't realize that he was there for 10 years on this island. He didn't just take a ferry over and sit on the island and say "I don't know why God has me here, but maybe I'll get some kind of revelation."

And that's really not what he was there for. He was sent there as a criminal, under the leadership of Domitian. He sent him over around 86 A.D. And it was not until Domitian died that the Christians asked Nerva if they could have John released and brought back, because after all, he's old and about ready to die. And so they brought him back over around 96 A.D.

And historical documents tell us that John died at about 99 years old. So just a few years after being brought back over to the mainland, he went to be with the Lord.

Hi Jonas In Gods word there are a few translations of the word know or to know according to context, one is the word oida which would be i know mentally that there is this being called God I've been told about Him. The other is ginosko experienced by some one born again of Gods Spirit. Example of first I know Romans 10: 9+10 but haven't done it, the other Ephesians 1 :18 The eye of your understanding being being enlightened that ye may know [I.E. experienced understanding God works in your life and you manifest that] what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of his inheritance in the saints.

If ever there are things mandated to know about God (knowing God) what are these so that one will be able to say and claim that he truly, indeed, know God?

Gambling is a sin. Because one most have no self control you can lose all your money in attempt to win. Left broke, debt comes and no longer have money to pay bills or buy your daily bread. Its an addiction, same as an alcoholic who has no self control. One needs to be content to what is given oor work hard to make more with Gods blessing, use your working money to take care of self and family. Don't be lovers of money or worldly things for they are temporary. Stay connected to God learn of his love for you by reading, praying and loving him for all his done for his children, you.

What is the signifigance of the Golden Chalice?
  • The Messenger - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Revelation was written and represented in signs. meaning using people, persons (Warning examples of wicked people and their actions) to describe the message. for example, according to Revelations 6:1-8:

1.The Red Horse: Peace taken from the earth.. They will slaughter one another (Civil wars, the deadly war WWI & WWII etc.)

    2. The Black Horse: (Famine The Great depression etc.)

    3. The pale Horse: Deadly plague...The Grave/Death ( 1918 influenza pandemic, HIV, Flu, Common cold,

    Covid-19,Delta variant etc.)

Why is the world in critical condition?

Satan was hurled down from heaven and is misleading nations rulers and kings:

    1 John 5:19; Genesis 3; Genesis chapter 6 and 9;

    Luke and Matthew 4; Ephesians 6:11-13; Revelation 12:7-12;

    2 Corinthians 4:4

What is the result of Satan the devil's influence:

    2 Timothy 3:1-7

    Matthew 24

    1 Corinthians 6:9,10; Ephesians 5:5

What will Jesus do since his father gave him all authority?

    ( Matthew 24:14;28:18-20)

    1. Revelation 11:15;20 Chapter

    2. Revelation 11:18

    3. John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3-5;22 Chapter

    Who is law for?

    1 Timothy 1:8-10

    2 Timothy 3:16,17

My brother gambles with a friend for points only. They have fun. I like Yahtzee; it's just a game right? I like Fish Pond with my grandson too :D

I look in Proverbs for wisdom.

    PROVERBS 19:4

Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.

    PROVERBS 28:26

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

    JEREMIAH 17:11

As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

    Proverbs 6:15

Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

    Proverbs 8:10

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

    Proverbs 10:4

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

    Proverbs 11:29

He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

    Have a great Holiday weekend

Whiteley P.S. Gambling and taking a mortgage are in reality two different concepts, gambling is spending some money and hoping to get lucky, a mortgage is a legal transaction that involves insurance as backup, with gambling there's no backup, with mortgage the real estate is the security on the money. That being said not judging just explaining. In His Service
  • Rick - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
Whiteley Not judging but keeping this simple gambling is not Believing God to supply your need, gambling is not absolute believing God is based on trust, gambling is crossing fingers Trusting God is Believing the Accomplishment done on the Cross. In His Service It Appears Someone Is RATIONALISING.
