King James Version (KJV)

“For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
King James Version (KJV)
1:19 For it is written - And the words are remarkably applicable to this great event. #Isaiah 29:14|
1Co 1:19 I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. By turning to the passage in Isa 29:14, its meaning is clear. God will put aside the wisdom and understanding of men; these will not save; but he will save by what the world called foolishness.
For it is written, I will destroy the wisedome of the wise, and wil bring to nothing the vnderstanding of the prudent.
