8:12 Ye sin against Christ - Whose members they are.
1Co 8:12 But when ye sin so against the brethren. To wound, injure, imperil the weak brethren, is to sin against Christ. It injures Christ's cause; besides, the Lord denounces those who cause the weaker ones to stumble (Mt 18:6 25:40).
But when ye sinne so against the brethren, and wound their weake conscience, ye sinne against Christ.
