6:7 By the convincing and converting power of God - Accompanying his word; and also attesting it by divers miracles. By the armour of righteousness on the right hand and the left - That is, on all sides; the panoply or whole armour of God.

2Co 6:7 By the word of truth. By preaching the gospel with power. By the power of God. Shown in his great activity and unparalleled success (2Co 4:7). By the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left. See Eph 6:11. On the left hand was the shield; on the right, the sword. Protected by "the shield of faith" (Eph 6:16), Paul used "the sword of the Spirit" (Eph 6:17).
