Interesting question, some would call him a leader because of his role in the Church, because of his writings. Yet most of all he was a follower of JESUS, that made him such a powerful, dynamic leader. Phillipians 3:1-17,

    Hopefully that answers your question.

Please give insight on the "talents" given and multiplied in Matthew 25:15-30. This is clearly not about silver or gold which will perish. But is of spiritual nature. Sharing the gospel to win souls?

    Brother Adam,

I agree. The gift that is so freely talked about by those who want to "keep their lives" and still recieve salvation are plainly missguided. You simply can't keep your life, and recieve salvation. It is one or the other!

The gift is really a "favor from God" with the hope that the reciever will accept it - and walk with Christ. If the reciever does not walk with Christ - they do not recieve the gift of salvation.

If we are truly - Born Again - there will be a change in us, and we will want to try to live a Christ like life!

Paul states the following which is very clear:

    Hebrews 10:26

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

    Galatians 6:7

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

A Christ like person will strive to be sin free, and will produce good fruit/works.

    James 2:22

"Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?"

So many christians todaybelieve wrongly they are going to heaven no matter what. This is wrong! Here is Paul himself instructing us how to achieve our own salvation:

    Philippians 2:12

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

Why would Paul instruct us in the above verse, if all believer's are going to heaven anyway?

There are "no free tickets". People need to read the bible and believe what it says.

    God Bless

    Hi Dean,

God loved us enough to give us freewill- this is the ability to make choices big and small. We are not puppets. Here's a bunch of verses about it:

    Link

Some will use their freewill to tell others that they don't have freewill, which is ironic. God is in control of whatever he wants to control. Us having freewill doesn't mean God is somehow not in control. I would challenge anyone who doubts God by asking do you not believe God is all powerful enough or loving enough to allow you to make your own choices?

Those thinking it's a one or the other scenario are making a false assumption. It's like a parent asking her child to clean his room. The child has a choice to do it or not. If he disobeys he faces a consequence. But maybe he cleans his room and then begrudgingly says 'I had no choice, mom made me do it.' Or maybe the child doesn't clean his room, and knows he did wrong, but claims that if God wanted him to do it, it would have happened. Therefore, it must have been "God's will" for him not to.

The child might learn to blame others and not take responsibility. This is a current popular false belief in our society among those who have so much compassion on evildoers that they claim it's not their fault, they were born to do this or that, or that another person or institution is to blame. Even victims may be blamed.

Some adults use this as an excuse to commit sin, because it "wasn't them who" chose to sin, but "God made them do it." So, they then blame God on everything they feel inconvenienced by. Very creative, but everyone knows whose really behind these distortions and it's not God. I believe this could become blasphemy of the holy spirit to make false claims against God. When Jesus was doing his ministry Pharisees tried to claim that Jesus was evil. Matthew 12:22-32

Watch out for false teachings. The way to know is to just read the Bible and pray for wisdom.

    God bless...

So many comments on the website about false apostles and prophets but how is that possible when some believe the only ministries in the church left are evangelists pastors and teachers, when the word says in ephesians 4:10-16 that all apostles prophets evangelists pastors and teachers notice 5 which biblically stands for grace have been given to the church in the age of grace which has not ended to build up the body of christ which is still being built. Thats an example of picking what we choose to believe instead of letting God speak for Himself.

The disagreement will be that's what makes them false because they should not exist, but that doesn't dictate that there are not in operation correctly just because there are false ones that statement I can make concerning all 5 ministries in the church. Again they are known by their fruits.

Precious friend "eating heavy," thanks for your Valuable Input: "If we're not quoting Scripture like The Son of God, what are we learning?" My question is, Is that enough for 'learning', just to "quote Them"? ie

There are three classes of 'quoters'... 1 UNbelievers who ...'think'... they are believers ... ...2 believers who quote Them "out of context"... 3 believers who qoute Them "IN God's 'Context'" ie

Example, one Precious friend gave us this

"The deal is, Jesus is the Son of God AND THE SON OF MAN. Human. He gave us his Authority to cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead. I haven't raised anyone deceased." (Precious Mishael)

Would not this 'Confuse' the babes In CHRIST, who are "studying" Scripture to 'learn'? Should they 'legitimately' be concerned about "His authority that 'cannot' be practiced" Today?

Is not the answer to this Confusion, obeying God's Command in 2 Timothy 2:15, keeping Scriptures we 'quote' IN "God's PROPER 'Context'" and, Rightly Dividing Them for understanding?:

    Part 1

Prophecy/Law = "authority to raise the dead"

Rightly Divided 2 Timothy 2:15 From "Things That DIFFER!"

MYSTERY/Grace "Several 'learning' Scriptures (for 'power' Today!) quoted here

    God's GRACE in infirmities: Link

    to be continued...

    Power Today

    Part 2

Precious friend, for Further Consideration of "studying" According To God's Command in 2 Timothy 2:15

    Prophecy vs MYSTERY: Link

Precious friend, Please have your 'spiritual' appetite satisfied "With Heavy Bible studying," having a "FULL (stomach) ASSURANCE of understanding" according To God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided!

"That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto All Riches of The Full Assurance of understanding, to the Acknowledgement of The MYSTERY of God, and of the Father, and of Christ" Colossians 2:2

    Conclusion

God's 'Context' for today = Prophecy/Law OR: Revelation Of The MYSTERY/GRACE?

Sister Amelia, Christ was constantly placing himself among the unbelievers. The Pharisees were constantly upbraiding Christ for this. So you are actually following Christ example. How else can you be a witness to unbelievers without being among them.

Matt. 4 : 34 KJV Without a Parable speak he not unto them. Which proves how his communication was above them thus the scriptures have hidden meanings . Sometimes 2 & 3 meanings deep .Thats y David said we wd go down to sea in ships and do business in Deepwaters . IN THE SPIRIT. And Jesus said these things are hid from the wise and prudent ( humanity ) but revealed unto babes and sucklings which are his children ( spirits ) That are born in US via his seed the word which is spirit ,Jesus said that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats the H.G. the Child of PROMISE , OUR NEW HEART AND NEW SPIRIT . Jesus spoke a diffferent language in the Spritual Realm thats y he said if i have told you earthy things and you believe not how shall i tell ya of heavenly things which is beyond US unless we are born from above. when he spoke of the babes and sucklings thats his Children that are gonna be born in us VIA his seed the word ,the new covenant is a BIRTHING Covenant .thats y he has to KNOW US so that his seed might be sown in our hearts RESULTING IN A HEAVENLY CHILD WHICH IS THE H.G. THAT CHILD OF PROMISE . Ya gotta realize that we are involved in a marriage covenant of the bride and bridegroom. I saw the new Jerusalem coming down from heaven prepared as a bride for her husband. John told the Pharisees he that has the Bride IS THE BRIDEGROOM. We are gonna be made 1 with Christ . One of the facets of his death is that there might be an ISRAEL OF GOD BORN IN US VIA HIS SEED. Remember that great PROMISE , I will multiply thy seed as the Stars of Heaven thus the sower and his seed. If he does not know us there will be no Child of PROMISE. Thus no kingdom, unless ya receive the Kingdom as a lil Child etc. Ya gotta realize the sower of that good seed is the Bridegroom. Thus he has to know us.

It sounds like you have had some negative experience with "authority" people in a church situation. however, Paul does instruct us not to despise authority, but to submit to those God places in our lives, especially godly ones. One of the characters of people in the last days is that they despise authority. So, I am careful to have a teachable attitude concerning people God places in my path.

Thank you for you response. It helps to discover more about people we can't know in person so that we can understand more of why they think a certain way that they do when they share their thoughts.

So called Black woman are under the curses of Isaiah chapter 3 an this here is without a shadow of a doubt a large thick Afro. There's no way it's not. Only our hair is thick to this extent that when grew long enough it can very much get caught up in branches. Unbelievable. This is beautiful!

Earl, Thank you for your reply. By it I am understanding more of your doctrines. Some I agree with and some I do not, due to what I know is currently taught by most Christian churches today and what has been taught through the ages. I think we are at an impasse here, because I am not antithesis to receiving instruction from those God has placed over me along my life's journey to guide me as I learn God's truth. I do not believe that a Christian can learn everything that is true doctrine on their own "by the Spirit" as you say. I believe the Spirit teaches us only truth. He doesn't tell one person one truth and then contradict that truth in another believer. We do not know each others' faith journeys , nor one another's current means of fellowship and worship.

Jesus' church is a body of believers. We are to teach one another and, at the same time, remain teachable and willing to receive instruction from outside of ourselves. God places people in our paths that are used to do this. This does not negate being "taught by the Spirit" because the same Spirit is working in private learning as well as learning with and by others. I respect your point of view and appreciate you sharing it. It makes me have to think through a response that is honorable. Neither of us have perfect truth on this side of heaven. But we are both guided and indwelt by the very same Spirit. Salvation is our free gift through Jesus. We are not saved by having perfect doctrine, but are exhorted by Paul to watch our doctrine carefully. He did not distain sound doctrine, which he taught in all circumstances that he preached and established church communities. He followed up on these communities with visits and letters to ensure that their doctrinal positions were correct and corrected where they were not in line with the truth. He obviously didn't believe that these believers could learn all they needed to learn from the Spirit on their own.

I do hope to continue exchanging our thoughts on this site.

Hi Gigi That was why Jesus Christ said those who have seen me I.E. senses have seen the fathers words and works on display John 1:18 made Him known. Its interesting to me that many times in the gospels after they witnessed the miraculous still didn't believe or with absolute blind defiance and hatred didn't believe[ religious leaders] and desired to eliminate him. No wonder our Saviour said blessed are those that have not seen and believe. Without the senses we could never enjoy Fathers created works.

Brother David, in the fullness of times, GOD will be ALL IN ALL ( 1 Corinthians 15:28).

Jesus came to visibly show what it means for God to be ALL in ALL, Christ was the first.

Christ is the body ( Ephesians 4:4)(a vessel) that holds ALL GOD IS; therefore Christ did nothing of himself, because a BODY can DO NOTHING of itself, It's the LIFE in the BODY that does the work. ( John 5:19)( John 5:30)( John 8:28).

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (the LIFE) which worketh in you (in the body, the vessel, even in Christ) TO WILL and TO DO his (the Father's) good pleasure.

We are going to be CONFORMED to the likeness of Christ. We are the pot (the body, the vessel) he is the potter.

He is bring his BODY (you and I) to TRUTH. WE do NOTHING OURSELVES ( John 15:5).

When you are BORN of TRUTH, ALL that you are doing is not you THE BODY doing it, but God THE LIFE in you doing the work.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God (TRUTH) doth not COMMIT SIN: for his SEED (CHRIST IN YOU)( Colossians 1:27) remaineth in him (you ARE DEAD (in trespasses) he GAVE you HIS LIFE, you are now the body that HOLDS ALL GOD IS): and he (the one who died to TRUTH), cannot sin, because he is born of TRUTH.

    And the TRUTH is:

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (THE LIFE) which worketh in you (HIS BODY) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

God grace us with eyes to see, God bless you.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

I noticed some comments posted that sound like they are only a breath away from denying the Lord. God's Word and 2 Peter 2:1 is for them. Luke 12:5. 1 Timothy 6:12.

Some sound upset that God demands obedience, and some feel entitled to do what they want as if there's no ramifications. John 14:21, John 14:15, James 1:22, Proverbs 16:18.

Hello Amelia What your asking is covered in 1 Corinthians 8 whole chapter, there is nothing wrong with eating with unbelievers. Now I had neighbors that the husband was a shaman and the wife a professed witch and we ever broke bread with them that is entirely different. When naaman was healed by Elisha the prophet of leprosy he ask elisha the prophet to pardon him because he had to go with His master to the house of Rimmon to worship and Elisha said go in peace. Remember be thankful for all things that God provides and protects us from. The producers of honda at one time drove each vehicle up to an idle to bless it, so does that mean we shouldn't drive Honda's. Everything in balance.

Remember age of Grace, its the love grace mercy peace and power that leads guides and protects us.

Sister GiGI, you are correct, doctrines are TEACHINGS, that man accepts as TRUE, but are those teachings TRUE. Man has TEACHING that CONTRADICT GOD'S WORD, thus those TEACHINGS are not TRUE. ( Revelation 12:9)

Man believes salvation is his choice and not God's choice, contradicting scriptures. Man TEACHES this.

John 15:16 You have not chosen me but I have chosen you, and ordained you ..... Man does not TEACH this.

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that God sent the Son to be Saviour of the world. Man TEACHES the SON is going to fail saving the world because it's man's choice and not God's Choice. Man TEACHES this. ( Revelation 2:24)

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN (even those that don't believe in this AGE ( Romans 9:18-21), specially those that believe (in the AGE).

1 Timothy 4:11 These things (saviour of all men) COMMAND AND TEACH. Many are called (to teach this) FEW are chosen.

Man TEACHES that those who don't CHOOSE Christ are going to HELL. Man TEACHES this. These TEACHINGS contradict all the above scriptures. ( Revelation 12:9).

Thy KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE.

Psalms 22:27 ALL the ENDS of the WORLD shall remember and TURN unto the LORD: and ALL the kindreds of the nation shall WORSHIP before thee.

Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that setteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Man not only does man NOT teach this, they don't BELIEVE this is TRUE. ( Revelation 12:9)

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things have been subdued unto him. then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be ALL IN ALL.

Man does not TEACH this nor even believe it ( Revelation 12:9).
