When we speak the Word of God we are speaking God Himself into the situation. God and His Word are the same - one. God is a Living Spirit, and His Word is Living Spirit and Life, and full of God's Power. When we speak the Word into any situation or circumstance, we are bringing God on the scene with all of His Life and Power to work in our behalf. It is a Holy Mystery. Awesome

Hi Greg, Jesus made a way for a condemned to death sinner to be protected from the laws requirements by the same putting themselves in the Mercy seat of Christ that covers the Law. That Mercy seat has been fulfilled, and those brave enough to enter in by faith and place themselves in that seat are covered and will not know death eternal but life eternal like Lazarus the poor man. When Jesus paid with his water and his blood for our sins on the Cross, then verses 17 & 18 in in Matthew Chapter 5 come to Life. Jesus has one more work so to speak, to come for His Bride, then there will be the consummation and all will be in all. No one on earth even a born again sinner can justify themselves as living by the commandments in fullness. I think we all know that if we are honest in our hearts. Thankfully we have Jesus Christ, God's Son and his Holy Spirit to lead the born again believer to the consummation in Heaven.

The Word of God is God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God (Jesus), and the Word WAS GOD" (St. John 1:1). I take this literally not symbolically. Whenever I speak the Word of God to any part of my body or situation, I am actually bringing God into the situation. Because God and His Word are one! It is a Holy Mystery and cannot be understood with the natural mind, but my born-again spirit knows and understands. Awesome !!

There is one mediator, Christ. The Holy Spirit is referred to as the parakletos, the Comforter. It is the guide, leading us into all truth. Comforter means "one who goes alongside." If this were a personality, then one would begin to think that it is in a position somewhere between us and the Father. But the Bible makes o mention of anything of the kind. There is only one between us and God, and that One is the Son.

This is similar in form to I Corinthians 11:3, which shows that, of the Deities above us, only One stands between us and God the Father, that is, God the Son. This means that not even the Holy Spirit, sent to us as a Comforter, is a mediator.

If the Holy Spirit were God (equal to the Father and the Son), it would be an affront of the highest order to exclude "Him" from an intermediary role between us and the Father-especially when we consider that the Bible assigns us, mere human beings, an intercessory role between others and the Father. By prayer we are to intercede before the Father for one another, which is a form of mediation. We go to the Father in behalf of our brothers and sisters who are undergoing trial, difficulty, sickness, or whatever. The Holy Spirit is excluded from this role because it is not a personality, yet we are given it because we are personalities.

Debbie remember our good works are like filthy rags to GOD. It's by the grace of God that we are saved thru Jesus Christ dying on the cross for all of our sins, therefore our good works do not have anything to do with going to heaven!

In the mind of a man or a woman, it may seem right to do. But if its not God way it can lead to death. That's why we have to put him first, seek his face study his word praise and worship him. Beacuse without doing this our way will send us to hell. What would we do without the Father the Son and the Holy spirit the triune God.

Remember Paul was on his way to persecute Christians when Jesus said to Simon "why do you persecute me Jesus light so bright it blinded him for 3 days and his heart was change in an instant, therefore hypocrisy is out of the picture since Jesus forgave him on the spot and Jesus renamed him Paul to show the change in his heart. So no he can't be a hipocrypt.

1 Pet 2:22, Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

I guess it's like this, I'm a sinner, I deserve to die, Jesus did no sin, He paid the penalty for my sin when He died on the cross, I guess that's the same as He paid the ransom, so that a sinner like I could go free, He paid the price.

Why is it that what God, the God of Israel, has ministered to in the desert should wax old. As is the fact of today that the people lose faith and fall away, the same was true with Israel. Only Caleb and Joshua would reach the promised land! Not even Moses, who mistrusted the word of El Shaddai at Merabah. God said" Command the Water to flow from the rock! Moses used his staff, tapping it twice. Did Jesus doubt in the Garden prior to his execution? With tears and trembling he did because he was human. Yes human, with all it's correlating doubts and fears. I'm not a Jesus follower but his appearing and reappearing was a wonder. However, his doctrine wasn't written, but recorded from memory many years later. I'm basically bitter with Christianity for all its hycoprisy and politcal dalliences in these most ruinous times. Old weeping entrepreneurs are the messangers. Franklin Graham is so deep into Trump that some consider the lying psychopath of a president a prophet! Get it right, ye Christians. The truth is available only to those who thirst after it!

I agree that we as believers can freely rest and be justified in God's commandments and enter into the Rest that is given through the grace of Jesus Christ.

I disagree.

Jesus came to fulfill the "law" ( Luke 24:44).

One "jot"or one tittle" of the LAW will not pass until ALL is fulfilled ( Matthew 5:18)

These are powerful words from Jesus that should not be dismissed or overlooked. ALL has not been fulfilled yet, therefore the LAW still stands.

Love is the fulfilling of the LAW ( Romans 13:10)

That means that the LAW is still in effect.

Only ONE person that ever walked the earth did not NEED the LAW.

The rest of us need repentance every day, because we break the law every day.

The death and resurrection of Jesus fulfilled blood and other certain ORDINANCES of the Law, but did not abolish the LAW itself.

How can we "rest" in His commandments when we break them?

Our rest comes through faith in our repentance and His promise of forgiveness and a new standing in Him from that.

This was a great deliverance for the children of Israel by the Almighty Lord. God will always and forevermore deliver those who trust in Him. He said He will never leave us or forsake us. The same goes to all believers in Christ today, to always and forevermore trust Jesus Christ for all our needs and to be very prayerful for things that are for the glory of the lord. To be very earnest in our prayers. The fervent prayers of the righteous availeth much. James 5.16. To God be the glory in Christ Jesus name amen

This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by water and blood.

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness because the Spirit is truth.

We are all God's possessions, and I, for one, am glad to be such. He is not morally deficient and could never be so, unlike slave owners. God takes care of his possessions just like I take care of my tractor, only better than I ever could.

Even the pure in heart can do better, at times. If you go back to Job 32 and read to the end of Job 37, Elihu explains why Job needs to repent. He says that Job justified himself rather than God.

Now, Elihu was not one of Job's three friends who had come to visit him, but he was there and had listened patiently to the discussion between them and Job. Notice that when God rebukes Job and his three friends, he DOESN'T rebuke Elihu. Elihu is the ONLY ONE who escapes God's rebuke. So read those six chapters where he speaks for enlightenment about why Job should have repented.

Acts 3:19

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and is not of any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).



For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9) and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), as mankind follows after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 12:9).

It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know the true Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1), and only then will you be able to overcome the spirit of this world ( 1 John 5:4; Rev. 3:21) and learn what it means to Repent. It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

LUKE 15:10. LIKEWISE, I SAY UNTO YOU, THERE IS JOY IN THE PRESENCE OF THE ANGELS OF GOD OVER ONE SINNER THAT REPENTETH

No. He wasn't. In fact, he said in 2 Samuel 11:8, "and I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given thee such and such things."

In the very next verse, he makes it very clear that he was angry because David had "despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight" by having Uriah killed and taking his wife. This was the word of the LORD spoken by Nathan the prophet. But he probably wasn't too happy about David's committing adultery with her before that, either.

Neither the LORD (God, the Father) nor Jesus EVER condemned any man at any time for having more than one wife, although I'm sure there were plenty around that did, even in the time of Jesus. There are still polygamous marriages in some countries even today.

What Jesus said was that if a man put one wife away (divorced her) to marry another, except if she had committed fornication, he was guilty of adultery and causing her and any future husband she might have to commit adultery. You have to read all accounts of his discourse on divorce to see that he's talking about putting her away in order to marry another. These are found in Matthew 5:31&32, Matthew 19:9, Mark 10:11&12, and Luke 16:18. So we see that, if a man had five wives, he was okay, but he could not put one away so that he could marry another. Perhaps this meant so he could afford to marry another. I don't know. But he could put her away for fornication. Why didn't he say adultery? Because adultery carried an automatic death sentence in those days. No divorce was necessary.

Too, Mark 10:12 shows that a woman could also put away her husband, but was under the same rules as the man pertaining to divorce.

It means that each day, we have enough to handle without taking on the problems of tomorrow or some other day. Therefore, we should live in the day we are in, because we cannot live in tomorrow until it gets here.

Your nephew is right that there's nothing in the Bible about marrying outside your race. However, the OT does count. He's wrong about that. How many times does Jesus say, "It is written . . ." or "It has been said . . ."? Ok. Just where was it written? In the Old Testament, of course! If Jesus thinks it counts, trust me, it counts.

Now, on the racial question, Miriam objected to the race of Moses' wife, and God made her (Miriam) white as snow -- with leprosy! The children of Israel were instructed not to take wives from or give wives to the heathen people around them, but there was no racial specification given whereby they were to determine who was heathen and who was not. Nor was there a "heathen patent" issued to any particular race. You were free to be a heathen, regardless of your race, as long as you weren't one of the children of Israel.

The children of Israel were also commanded by Moses not to make intertribal marriages within the tribes of Israel, so that their inheritances would not move from tribe to tribe. There was nothing racist about that.

Jesus invited him to be shown how to "fish" for peoples souls.

The word Apostle means, one who has seen the person of Jesus Christ; the Son of Man.

The office of an Apostle, works as touching the 5-fold Ministry of: Apostle, prophet, teacher, pastor, evangelist. Also, someone once said to me that 'pastor' is positioned on the ring finger because it involves full time shepherding of Jesus's sheep and baby lambs.

If you open your hand: the thumb is the apostle. Using the thumb it can reach out and touch each of the other 4 fingers.

The Apostle can minister in any of the other offices.

My take: Jesus would like us to be versatile by nature. He had to do it this way because someone is always going to bark, "That's Not My Job!."

We are all called to follow Jesus and DO the work of an evangelist.

Personally: I don't have cable and I watch very little television. My computer is 1 year old and hasn't been used yet. I have an unproven theory that if we watch too much tv, our rears rebel and move around to the front. :D

I'm just saying we have time to read the Bible. It goes much faster if you'll buy a Strongs concordance; a commentary; maybe a dictionary. How's your Bible appetite?

I love Jesus! First time I saw that he evaded Satan all over the place and Satan could only focus on murdering the Son of God! Satan forgot all about Genesis 3:14-15 prophesy. When that spear cut into Jesus's side, He had already died. Satan didn't get to cheer :( Then when Jesus came walking out of the tomb: He bruised Satans head (I hope he knocked him out) and Jesus took the Keys and went to hell, preached salvation, opened the cells and led everybody in there out, in the streets and into Paradise. He then met up with both Marys because they were over at the Empty Tomb.

This is the Mighty Son of God that we worship! He is worthy to be praised & adored.
