Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

My spouse and I got married while I was not saved. I gave my heart to Jesus very early in the marriage. My spouse remained unsaved for the 14 years of our marriage. He has abused me in every way, except physically. As a result, I suffered a Major Depressive Disorder. I felt defeated and couldn't understand why God allowed him to get away with this. How come I was serving God and the satan's servant was deceiving me.

My narcissistic spouse decided that he should lie to law enforcement and the court of law, that I was abusing him. He brought two detectives into our home and had me arrested. I received an order of protection. I was more afraid for our children that was left in the home with him. I have now come to accept that God rescued me from the marriage. It is confusing that I will not be allowed to remarry while he is alive. I am content to live my life for the Lord for the rest of my life. I do find it unfair.

A year and a half after the incident, he filed for a divorce. This did not make me sad. God kept my hands clean. I honored my marriage vows. I am still struggling. We are still in divorce court and my husband still tries to hurt me. He wants us out of the marital home. No mercy to our children to allow them to live there.

God is awesome! This trial taught me how to pray with the Word. It introduced me to the power of Psalms. Opened my awareness of dreams. I have been getting dreams maybe as warnings what my spouse was doing behind my back. All Glory to God.
  • Mishael on being a Follower of Jesus - In Reply on Psalms 70 - 6 years ago
I learned (as a new Christian) in the college of full bore head on crashes. It didn't get better till I turned off the tv (all noise) and read some chapters all the way through.

It's like a checking account with $2.00 in it. Can't do anything with it :/

Start in Proverbs. Lot of wisdom there. Move into Ecclesiastes; Romans, 1+2+3 John in the back of the Bible (where you learn how to be forgiven for daily mess ups.

The Bible is a guide for daily living. It's sorta like the tv remote control: it takes you to where you want to go. Skin deep or ocean deep.

When you understand who God really is,

You'll want to find out more about him. As a Christian, you have the Holy Spirit as your Teacher. Ask Him to teach you about Jesus. His favorite subject. Always build time in your day to spend an hour with Him.

Our minds are carnally geared (flesh pleasing). Your only defense is knowledge and a rock hard WILL to go forward with Jesus!

Don't wait for someone else to build your faith like LEGOs. You do it: scripture by scripture.

I would say "I forgive you" and leave. Don't call. Don't go back.

Talk this over with God, every day, until you feel His peace.

A person that says something like that usually wants space, time, no contact. We sometimes feel desperate to get back what we had.

If God allows a door to close; accept it.

You are being given time to set your house in order. Do some googling on relationship problems. It never hurts to hit the books.

Be sure to dig through the Bible too. Read the Book of Ruth; book of Job; Proverbs has MUCH wisdom for relationship snags.

My Grandmother was my go to person for relationship problems. She had a lot of wisdom I could relate too. She knew me, wall to wall. I knew she prayed for me and I loved her for that. She's the first person I'd like to visit in heaven. :)

You may be experiencing spiritual warfare.

Take a walk through your home with the Holy Spirit and ask Him to help you get rid of anything that could be an idol. Why?

Demons hang around and inhabit the objects.

    Read Acts 19:19

It might help to watch some Spiritual Warfare videos on YouTube. You'll be much better informed when you sense trouble nearby. It helps you pray for your kids and family.

Forgiveness is taking your hands off the necks of those who hurt you.

Wholesale forgive. It will release you: and release them, so God will work on their lives.

I know it's NOT pleasant; but being obedient has huge advantages.

Not many churches teach on this. Take notes on the teachings and find them in your Bible. In time you'll be able to help others get free too.

Re-dedicate your life to Jesus. Go to 1 John chapter 1 verse 9, as often as you need to. In fact read the whole book. I do because I need to hear it often.

To have faith means to agree with God/Will of "I AM". How can we agree with God/Will of "I AM" if we have not heard His will?

I believe that, yes! God does hear even the prayers of sinners. He knows when someone is seeking His help. He knows when we ask wisdom, direction, strength, when we cry, etc. I believe God hears and is aware of every idle or wrong word also. God knows our hearts, minds, intents, and situations. There is nowhere God does not see and understand. However, I also believe that He wants a special relationship with His created beings - one that brings us into a close and intimate fellowship with Him where He not only hears us, but actually communicates with us through His Spirit. This is only a result of us being "born again" or born into the Spirit through His Holy Son Jesus. Jesus died for you and for all of us in order to bring us in to that kind of relationship with the Father. By this we are adopted as sons as Jesus is God's Son. John 17: 13-24. I pray that the Heavenly Father attends to your prayers, dear one. As you place your life and trust in His all knowing loving and healing hands may He make you one of His own dear children by Christ Jesus.

Please pray for me. I struggle a lot with being single. Please pray that Jesus Christ will help me find a wife. I need God's mercy and help with finding the lady who the Lord wants to be my wife and helpmeet. Please pray that Jesus Christ will show me mercy and let me get married. I truly desire a marriage blessed by God. Proverbs 18:22 says that he who finds a wife finds a good time. Thank you so much for your time and prayers. May God bless you all.

For me, it depends upon your intent. If you go there to preach and deliver the words of God, maybe its just okay but you may put yourself to risk to temptations but if you are just there to drink and enjoy the things that had been there, it is not good because it is not a house of God. A true follower of the Lord will not suffer himself to enjoy such worldly things.
  • Chris on Psalms 141 - 6 years ago
Leslie, the Ordinance of the Lord's Supper is essentially a memorial occasion where the body of believers who meet together for worship & ministry from the Word, also physically remember the Lord's Sacrifice for them. It is a very practical, visible way to help focus our thoughts upon the Lord, when many people had many other distractions during the week. As also in the other ordinance given to the Church, Water Baptism, this was an act of signify the change in one's life, identification with Christ, & performed before witnesses who marked that one as 'now belonging to Christ'.

So, I see that both these Ordinances given to us, are meant for public performance: the Lord's Supper with believers, & Baptism before the unbelievers. One could in a sense perform them in private & be happy within oneself that the Lord is being remembered in the breaking of bread, but Scripturally speaking, this is would not be the right way to do it because of its meaning & significance.

Bob, it wasn't my intention to suggest that David was a little boy when he confronted Goliath. Clearly he was a youth. The mention of 'shepherd boy' is just a colloquial term that can be used for a child right up to a much older person who shepherds sheep. The emphasis is on the word 'shepherd'. When walking down a city street some time ago, someone called out to a guy pushing a trolley full of goods, "Hey, delivery boy". When I looked, the delivery person was in his 40s, so I understood what was meant. Anyway, thank you for pointing that out.

Friends and I have been following the antics of Mr Gates and the 2020 060606 code - "You are onto it Mate!" - Many Christians have their heads in the sand!

We must analyze all information that comes our way, and be aware of what the enemy has in its arsenal.

    I believe that just "Quoting" Ps 91 is only part of our defense 2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We have been given weapons by Yahua - We must use them or get WACKED

  • Mishael - In Reply on Psalms 141 - 6 years ago
Yes you can do it at home. Find the first communion in the Bible, And speak it out As you take the elements assembled.

I do this in remembrance of you, Jesus.

It's important not to partake until you have forgiven people who have wronged you.

    Let it all go.

Charles Stanley may very well be a devout Christian, a good man, an excellent preacher, and know what he is talking about concerning Scripture. No preacher, however, is correct concerning everything they preach ( Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Understanding the 7th Day, Law and Grace, are important topics in the Word of God

Some of the best education I have received concerning the Word of God came from Pastor Arnold Murray of the Shepherds Chapel. A Bible scholar that many times stated: "Don't take my word for it, research it for yourself. From his advice, I realized that he was not always correct.

    Joshua 10:13

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher?

So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

They were fighting a battle and needed daylight to win the day. How awesome is God?!

    Ephesians 6:13 and Matthew 5

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him two

Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

But I say unto you, LOVE your enemies, BLESS them that curse you, DO GOOD to them that hate you, and PRAY for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends the rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans do the same?

And if ye salute your friends only, what do ye more than others? do not even the mean people so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I know you've read this part. It's very hard to pray for them. You have to stand fast and do excellent work, AS UNTO JESUS! Make HIM proud.

I had the same problem with the bosses and unholy coworkers. If you are working as if Jesus is your Boss; this will be easy.

Pray every day for them all to be promoted.

No sour looks. Be helpful but don't get drawn into office GOSSIP. Having done all, TO STAND. If you will do this as to Jesus your Big Boss: He's gonna take care of you. Stand solid in faith!

It works! I saw a lot of mean people get promoted out...and I had 'peace in the valley'.
