This is such a wonderful verse which clearly demonstrates the temporal state of this world, but the eternal state of our own souls and indeed the urgent need of our individual requirement to be saved before it is too late. What a wonderful demonstration of Jobs faith in God and even in despair he Blesses The LORD.

The Philistines are like so many gentiles today. They know that The Lord God of Israel is distintly different than the pagan gods they worship. They bare witness that our God is a God of great mighty works as He is very much the only One True and Living God but they much rather blidnly follow the vain superstition's of their pagan idols which neither hear see nor speak.

Can someone help me understand verse 20, what is meant by "smoking flax." Is this similar to smoking from a hookah, etc. or am I totally wrong about the actual act of smoking?

The seed of the woman , speaks of Jesus who he alone will destroy the Devil. Man will have to deal with evil and sin until Jesus destroy the evil Satan. This chapter speaks of the fall of man, and the coming of a savior. Man alone can not stop the Devil. Man faces many tribulation until Jesus come to save us..

I have been looking for the ten commandments. what I really want to read is the ten commandments without the different slants as to what each commandment means.and also what order they are in. I guess I should be reading the Jewish Bible. My question is where are the ten commandments recorded. It seems to me that every church has it's own interpretation of what each one means.
