  • Tammy on Joshua 2 - 10 years ago
I think this particular passage serves as a great reminder for us all, we must be also mindful of the saving power of kindness. I acknowledge that Jesus is the only way that mankind can obtain eternal life, but there are moments in times when the Father will remember our sacrifices or ministries of help to bless our love ones. The power of kindness. How would Rehab be viewed in a church of today?
  • KarenP on Hebrews 10 - 10 years ago
Jesus is the only sacrifice that atoned for our sins. Jesus is calling us to holiness and a life lived in Him, not our selves. We are to share this good news (gospel) with every creature. When we do what God has asked of us then we know we will have the promise that He gave to us (verse 36). But, if we do not, then we know He has no pleasure in us (verse 38
  • E. Swann on Psalms 13 - 10 years ago

  • Victor on 1 John 5 - 10 years ago
God has shown himself to me in my life events more than once. Many many times I can look back and know for sure it was him helping me. I also know that everything we get is through our LORD JESUS his beloved son who die for us and was risen on the third day by God our father. Glory to God ,the Lord JEsus and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. AMEN God bless you all, and yes we have eternal life in Jesus our saviuor
  • Michael C. on Lamentations 2 - 10 years ago
It is a great mystery to many, how that the Lord Jesus should be delivered into the hands of sinners; and that we in turn, follow in His steps, as sheep for slaughter. Perhaps it is because, we simply have not the capacity to grasp the magnitude of Israel's sin, in having forfeited the throne of David, and so, their kingdom; and that the world dominion is given to the heathen till Christ returns.
  • Michael C. on Lamentations 1 - 10 years ago
This cup of wrath and desolation and sorrow, shall all nations drink. For if "I AM" has done so to His own people, who are called by His Name, because of their hatred and hostility, for their continually provoking Him with their sins and idols and incurable lawlessness; who are the nations of the world, that they think it shall not come to them? Still they say, Who is the LORD, that I should obey?
  • Esther on 1 John 5 - 10 years ago
Had to read the whole text. The quote is rather puzzling, having the question mark in the middle of it. John didn't doubt his words and, gladly, neither do I.
  • Naomi on Zephaniah 1 - 10 years ago
Zephaniah, speaks how the GOD is going to destroy man and beast and those who have turned back from serving GOD. In addition, He will punish kings children.
  • KUMAH KWESI SOLOMON on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
I WANT TO TALK ABOUT CHAPTER1:26; WHEN GOD SAID LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE,AFTER OUR LIKENESS: AND LET THEM HAVE DOMINION.RIGHT FROM DAY 1 GOD PUT MAN IN CHARGE AND GAVE HIM POWER TO RULE.TILL SIN CAME THERE MAN BECOME POWERLESS.THEREFORE LET US AVOID SIN TO BE POWERFUL AGAIN IN JESUS NAME.IT DOES NOT MATTER ABOUT YOUR SITUATION THERE IS POWER INVESTED IN YOU.AMEN.
  • Serwaa on Psalms 3 - 10 years ago
I feel so relieved with the content because I know our Lord has our back in all situations. I was so overwhelmed with ongoing life challenges. Halleluyah our Redeemer lives and He listens Amen.
  • BSP on Matthew 16 - 10 years ago
In verse 22 Jesus had just stated the divine will so he had to correct Peter and the other disciples. Jesus life was to be one of self-sacrifice and not of self-gratification.
  • Michael C. on Luke 4 - 10 years ago
We don't listen to, or answer the devil's talk, about his power; he is a liar from the beginning, and the father of lies. His name literally means, Slanderer." Read the divine account in Genesis 3, and we see nothing said to the serpent about power and glory being given him! Where then did he get that perverted idea? He made it up, just like everything he thinks and says; all perversion and lies!
  • Michael C. on Malachi 3 - 10 years ago
Answering Galatians 2:20: The second greatest commandment; after loving the LORD our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; is to love our neighbor as ourselves. When the King sits upon His throne, and all are gathered before Him for eternal judgment; it is how we cared for His poor and needy, His sick and strangers and imprisoned, that will set us either on His right hand, or His left.
  • Rasheena on Psalms 126 - 10 years ago
What I take from psalms' 126 is trust god fully, no matter what it looks like.
  • BSP on Nehemiah 3 - 10 years ago
Unlike the nobles mentioned in verse 5, we should not think that we are above doing any work in the interests of true worship.
  • BSP on Nehemiah 2 - 10 years ago
In verse 4 Nehemiah was probably anxious and nervous, but he prayed to Jehovah God to give him courage to speak and we can do the same.
  • Michael C. on Proverbs 3 - 10 years ago
I love reading everyone's posts! I look forward to the day of eternity, when we can all visit, and enjoy each other's company. Until then, I hope we can develop friendships in the Lord, and talk more and more about the things of the Lord. I'm new to this site: I see some of the same names all the time and I can tell that the same Lord and His Spirit, is teaching all of us of the same divine things. May the Lord bless and keep you, and fill you mightily with His Spirit and grace. Very soon the Lord will gather us in His harvest to Himself: may we all be ready always to walk in wisdom, and to testify right from His heart, whenever He may call upon us. I think we should be like they were in the beginning, when the Holy Spirit was just newly sent to the disciples and they had all things common, and loved one another as their own souls: "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
  • BSP on 2 Chronicles 31 - 10 years ago
God blessed his people when they gave unselfishly in verse 10.
  • BSP on 2 Chronicles 30 - 10 years ago
In verse 9, if the people returned to God then He would be there for them.
  • BSP on 2 Chronicles 29 - 10 years ago
Verse 8 shows that God's indignation came against Judah and Jerusalem because they turned their back on Him.
  • BSP on Luke 8 - 10 years ago
This illustration shows the importance of listening to what we read in God's Word and making sure that we apply it in our lives.
  • Michael C. on Proverbs 1 - 10 years ago
Hi, Lisa; There are wonderful prayers in the Bible, for us to know what we should ask for, and how; Psalm 119 (e.g.) and the Epistles are a good place to start. As we read, and pray about what we read, we gain understanding. He gave us this whole big Bible, full of knowledge and understanding, for all we need to know in this life; and to prepare ourselves for meeting Him, for the day of eternity.
  • BSP on Psalms 26 - 10 years ago
In verse 1 and 2, David asked God to examine him. This shows that he had confidence. He wanted to identify and work on any defect that was found in him.
  • Michael C. - 10 years ago

  • Michael C. on Malachi 3 - 10 years ago
v 8: Abraham gave one tenth of the spoils to Melchizedek, but took not so much as a shoelace from the king of Sodom; for he had lift up his hand to the LORD. Rendering to the LORD the beginning of our strength, is a sign of the grace of Christ in our heart; which is shown by love. It is better for the Lord's servants to pay their own way, than to give occasion to the adversaries to speak evil.
  • Hakeemkazeem on James 5 - 10 years ago
God is good he did not want any of us to perish
