    Why people choose to pick parts of the chapter to condemn other people and leave some other parts which hold them culpable. The point is these were specific instructions for specific people most of which do not apply to Christians today. Pagan tattooing is the real topic here not the tattoo of your beautiful daughter or love...

  • BigTyme on Ruth 4 - 13 years ago
    This is not a beautiful story! This is a story about deception. Ruth deceived Boaz by laying by his feet while he was drunk knowing when he woke he would either face persecution for laying with a prostitute or a noble man by buying land and making Ruth his wife. This means the very beginning of their relationship was based on a lie. This also means that since biblical days women have been very deceptive and it still goes on to this very day.

    @Lori Wilson,
    To “be unequally yoked together with unbelievers” does not limit to marriage relationship; in fact it’s a misinterpretation of this scripture. It simply means don’t walk in the way of the wicked ones, because the wicked ones feel comfortable with those ways, while we as believers will very very uncomfortable with such ways. Believers will unprotected and unsafe walking in those ways, while unbelievers may walk in them out of duty ( Isaiah 29:20). So that is the unbalance the apostle Paul is speaking of.
    As to marrying a person who is from another religion, I believe the key is love and how you agree to live as a married couple. You may succeed to convert your spouse to Christianity, likewise your spouse may convert you to his/her religion. So, all depends on how strong and spiritual you are. And as believer, I understand you don’t engage in a relationship by chance, but you seek first God’s direction and guidance ( Proverbs 18:22). Please remember that some of the unbelievers are Christians, but as the devil has blinded their minds, they just chose to walk in darkness, of those too, the Apostle Paul says we must “turn away” ( 2 Timothy 3:5).
    God bless you.

    I think the meaning is totally different, god revealed for moses on mount Sinai and the angel Gabriel appeared in mount seir for Jesus as the second book. And the last book was on mount Paran which is in Mecca where Prophet Mohd received the third and last book. This is the truth and direct meaning of the verse and god know better..
  • Anon on Ezekiel 34:29 - 13 years ago
    Ezekiel 34:29 declares “And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more”.
    What plant is it about? Because some suggest it is Hemp.
  • Jim on Genesis 9 - 13 years ago
    Ham saw Noah's nakedness, meaning that he had sexual intercourse with Noah's wife (his own mother), apparently while Noah was passed out from drunkenness. He then bragged about this to his brothers. His brothers ratted him out to Noah, who became justifiably angry....
  • Duncan on John 15:6 - 13 years ago
    Is that what Jesus apparently said to John? How is that even remotely non tyrannical?
  • Insight 777 on Revelation 15 - 13 years ago
    I believe the wrath of God is God’s anger at the world for rejecting him and not believing in his power. The word Angels is not a human with floppy, white wings! It is a tragedy that an artist ever painted angels that way. It was a guess and a bad one. Angel in Revelation is used for a military power/air force. Revelation 15:2 - Nuclear bomb liquefies sand to glass objects are burning in this liquefied sand. This is a battlefield which Christians have won. They are viewing details of battleground(s) via satellite imagery and/or stand on battlefield with harps of God which are computers/telecommunication devices. They praise God and Jesus and communicate with Headquarters they won the battle. (Moses led his people out of Egypt). Non-Muslims will be notified to evacuate the areas that have been contaminated with nuclear fallout or have been taken over by Muslims. Revelation 15:4 - Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? - There will be a hunt in the area for people who do not fear the Christian God: Muslims. This event will be happening in the Middle East and perhaps in other locations. Revelation 15:5 - The hunt continues in Israel, Jerusalem. Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem is bombed (perhaps by Wahhabis). 7 (Angels= air force) Military powers/governments of Islamic nations react to the temple being bombed. Revelation 15:7 - Saudi Arabia (one of the 4 king/beasts) GIVES OUT WRATH OF GOD. Islam religious leaders via Hamas, Muslim brotherhood , Al-Qaeda, etc. support the 7 military powers. Battle plans are drawn out will include bio-warfare plagues. Revelation 15:8 - Dome of the Rock Temple is bombed (by Wahhabis?) and is leveled so no one can enter until rebuilt...until the plagues are finished- before Meddigo and the return of Jesus.

    Fist time in looking to read online. Too many misspelled words from beginning of Genesis 1:1-2. I will have to look else where for a book that is not so confusing to read. I need to be able to read THE WORD and not have to figure out each misspelled word. I was not planning on taking a spelling test.

    "Rastalogy" is a theology which means "black theology" which is the philosophy of Ethiopia {abyssinia}. Rastalogy said we {masculine and feminine} have seven senses not five, the sixth and seventh are thinking and reasoning. {thank you}
  • John on Revelation 12:12 - 13 years ago
    "O heavens, and ye that dwell in them,” This tells me the Universe is teeming with intelligent life. If Satan and his followers were cast to Earth (why did we get the dirty end of the stick?), then apparently the entire Universe, except for us, is sin free.

  • Bob Baker on Isaiah 39 - 13 years ago
    I see a clear parallel between Hezekiah and the current batch of politicians in Washington on both sides of the isle. They appear to be willing to sell out the future of America for a little more credit (the gift) from the bankers (Babylon) to prolong their time in command of the sinking ship — as long as the ship sinks slowly enough to allow them to enter their lifeboats in time with their cut of the plunder.

  • Elijah on Deuteronomy 18 - 13 years ago
    @ Rajat,
    A few comments... first of all not everyone in Islam believes Muhammad was not a prophet from childhood....some believe he was...so that is void...all 3 of them were prophets from childhood...Muhammad was told to start preaching in his adulthood...similarly Moses also....he didn’t preach from infancy.... Jesus had his own book...the Bible...and Moses had his own book Tawra...Muhammad also had his own book Quran.. In Quran, there is mention of Tawra and Bible + the prophets too... Muhammad wasn’t of the pagans, he was of a religious family..he belonged to the family of Abraham from Ismail’s lineage... Muhammad also has a lot of miracles... Muhammad also communicated directly...and through Gabriel also... Muhammad is also among the promised... so Moses and Muhammad preached from childhood while Jesus didn’t.. (even thought they were prophets...) both Moses and Mohammad had to leave his country and migrate and come back and their own land .... both Moses and Muhammad created their respective government...Jesus didn’t... Moses and Muhammad married and only had A DAUGHTER...Jesus didn’t marry.. Moses and Muhammad both had their cousins(uncles son) by their side and succeeded them..... both Moses and Muhammad daughter married their cousin... Aaron had 2 sons namely Shabbar and Shabbir...Ali had 2 sons namely Hassan and Husain...Shabbar and Shabbir when translated into Arabic is Hassan and Husain... Moses had 12 successors...Muhammad also had 12 .. We believe Jesus didn’t die instead he went into occultation.. Jesus was the 12th successor of Moses and went into occultation...Mohammad’s 12th successor also went into occultation... no offence to anyone....

    What people seem to miss is the part “let women ask their husband's at home”. And what about the widow or the single woman not yet married but living on her own without a husband yet? What if there is no husband at home to ask. Which in our society and even back in Christ day such was the case. Not all men are head over all women. A husband is head over HIS wife not all other men's wives or other women. These verses were added by someone not Paul as is the one in I timothy and it contradicts other scripture and roles of women through out biblical history and scripture. God made man and woman equal and gave both gifts some to prophecy and teaching and he did not exclude women from these gifts. Even Christ chided Martha busy in her kitchen when she complained of her sister Mary sitting with Christ talking to him, learning asking questions. From all we know of these two women neither was married or had husbands yet. Nor did Mary Magdalene and Christ's own mother was a widow. They had a big role in Christ's life and were active in the community and in the church and meetings. As was Lydia, Docus, Phoebe and others.

    This chapter shows that Jesus (P.B.U.H) was not crusified as the resurrected body are spiritulized & spritulized body have no flesh & bones.

    ואיש אשר ישכב את זכר משכבי אשה תועבה עשו שניהם מות יומתו דמיהם בם (V’ish asher yishkav et-zachar mishk’vei ishah to’evah asu shneihem mot yumatu d’meihem bam.) It refers to a man lying in a woman's bed. A woman's bed was off limits to any but here husband, and even he could only attend it at certain times. To lie in a woman's bed was a defilement. This passage has nothing to do with homosexuality.

    Lousy election night....No good presidential candidate won. Good men in other offices were berated, or fraud, but sadly, our country believes anything they are told. Races........not people vote.........they hate people. Sad to know I am having to live through this. Christians should NOT be voting for the lesser of 2 evils, youth or elders do not know about their nation or Constitution. May God forgive for the sake of a few good men and women who still believe.

    Zac, I hope you did take Esther's advice and contacted Elisha Goodman of FIresprings Ministries, I think there you could get the true meaning of your dream. Or you could try and contact Dr. Olukoya of Mountain of Fire and Miracles ministries or the prayer editor at prayersfire website. I personally don't think it is just a dream, and if it was bought back to your mind after all these years, you should get the meaning quickly, if you haven't done so yet. Stay blessed!!!

    Last Sunday, my neighbor Jim was pruning some trees in his back yard. I was concerned for his soul and told him that God doesn't want him to work on the Sabbath and he deserved to be put to death. Instead of being grateful, he threw a branch at me, called me crazy and threw me off his property.

    Ian, to be fair, Satan also uses atheists to keep Koran education out of schools also. Question- it appears that Both Jesus and Allah wrote books. did Satan ever come out with a book?
