Hello Joni G. and Jacob: The church is still being built today. The church of Jesus Christ is made up of human beings that have followed Acts 2: 38. You have to be born of water and spirit. Romans 12: 1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service " You cannot be holy except ye be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Part 3 of 3: Paul was not talking about the evidence of tongues that comes with the Holy Ghost. He was referring to the many languages in the world. When this world ends, all known languages will end with the passing of this Earth. If you continue to read 1 Corinthians 14: 39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and FORBID not to speak with tongues. This scripture is talking about the evidence of tongues that comes with the Holy Ghost. Ask this question, Why would Paul talk against something he himself had received from God? Why would he lay his hands on those 12 men and saw them receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and saw them speak in other tongues and prophesied if it was wrong? If it is wrong then why would God have it written in the word of God? In the end, speaking in tongues is the evidence a person needs to know that they truly have the true Holy Ghost. There is no way around this. AMEN.

Part 2 of 3: Both Apollos and these 12 men were baptized unto John s baptism. While Apollos was in Ephesus teaching all he knew Aquilla and Priscilla heard him speaking they took him aside and taught him the way of the Lord more perfectly, Acts 18: 24 thru 28. When he was disposed meaning when he was placed in order of the right way, he began to teach, Acts 18: 28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. We can deduce that it was this time that Apollos was saved. In 1 Corinthians 3: 6 Paul confirmed this by saying I have planted, Apollos watered but God gave the increase . If I can say it like this, Paul laid the foundation, Apollos was the teacher or preacher who continued to water what Paul laid down, and God added to the church such as should be added.

Hello Karen Miller: Yes, it does. In households, fields, buildings, etc., you have people all over the world that are saved. You have a husband that is not saved and the wife that is saved. They could be in the bed and the call of the Lord and the trump will sound. The wife will be taken and the man left. A daughter or son saved and the mother and father are not. They could be at the dinner table when the call and the trump sounds the daughter and son taken and the parents are left sitting at the dinner table. The rapture is very real. In order to be a part of it a person has to follow Acts 2: 38. The power of the Holy Ghost, which is the resurrection power, is what will change a person and give them flight.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Matthew 6 - 11 years ago
Hello Gurjit Singh: and Shemdoe, Stanley: The word of God does tell us, Matthew 6: 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you . The kingdom of God is twofold, as I have explained this before, so when Jesus was talking here in Matthew he was referring to the future tense, meaning that one should be born of water and spirit. The way to do this is by following Acts 2: 38 to get into the kingdom of God. The righteousness of Jesus Christ comes by way of the Holy Ghost, Ephesians 5: 9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3: 16.

Hello RNM: Regarding your post under this section dated 12-29-14 time 5: 01 pm: Discussing the Sabbath is one of those conversations that I have already addressed with you under Revelation Chapter 22 in 3 parts, date 12-27-14 time 10:37 am. However, as I stated for a true Christian Sabbath is every day. We are to live save every day. We are not supposed to pick one day and live saved. If mankind wants to change the Sabbath, that is between them and God. In the end, the prime directive during this Dispensation of Grace is following Acts 2: 38. Getting saved, living saved, and staying saved is what we are to do.

Joni G has the best comment that could be given. It is the teaching of scripture, and the key to becoming a Christian. We have to become a Christrian by being a repentant, emersed believer. Then we begin to have the remainder of the Bible become relevent for us. Acts 2:38, Mark 16 16, and other verses teach us this. Obedient faith is the key. Believe in Christ that He is who He said He is. Believe in what He taught.
  • Joni G on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Jacob, read Gr 's comment of Jul 28, 2014 under the 1 Corinthians 1 comments. Paul in Corinthians 1 was saying believers were talking about the status of the person baptizing them. They were focused on the person that baptized them instead of being baptized by water into Christ. Paul wasn 't devaluing water baptism. He did baptize a few people as it says in Corinthians. Instead he wanted them to focus on Christ and the power of the cross. In Galatians when Paul was talking about a different gospel, that had to do with certain Galatian Jews who were trying to mix the old law which was nailed to the cross with the new gospel of Christ, given in Acts 2. Jesus told the apostles to stay in Jerusalem so they could receive the Holy Spirit and deliver the gospel the way God wanted it delivered. We are to follow that same example set forth in Acts 2 today. The Holy Spirit delivered the gospel the way He wanted it taught. As I said before the purpose of tongues back then was to build the church. The purpose of the gentiles receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues before being baptized was to show the Jews that God accepted them where before the Gentiles were unclean. Great is the mystery of godliness. In a lot of Paul 's letters, he was writing to get Christians to mature, grow, see that the Christian walk is a race, repent and other things. Satan was trying his best to change the gospel and destroy the church.

Answer 2. Tongues is one of the least gifts a christian can have 1 Cor 12:30. I wouldn 't forbid you to speak a language, Spanish for example, that you had never learned to get the gospel out but todays tongues do not edify 1 Cor 14:4. They are edifying themselves. With no interpreter, and more than three at a time vs 27, and not by course, and the women are not keeping silent vs 34. Water isn 't mentioned anywhere in Galatians. This baptism is the Spirit baptism of 1 Cor 12:13 because it puts the believer vs 26 INTO CHRIST. Acts 2:38 was never preached by Paul and he was not sent to water baptize 1 Cor 1:17. No water is mentioned anywhere near John 3:5. Born of water is obviously a reference to the first birtth, the physical birth, just as it is in Genesis 1:20, Isa 48:1, and Proverbs 5:16-18. That is why Jesus says that born of water is born of the flesh in verse 6. Acts 2:39 refers to Jews see Dan 9:7 for the far off reference. Paul wasn 't even saved at this time to write Eph 2:13 and Peter knew nothing of the Church age yet Eph 3:3. Please check the passages.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Answer 1. Paul preached by grace through faith not works Rom 4:5, Eph 2:8-9. He rebaptized those in Acts 19 because they had Johns baptism see vs 3. How could they be saved like we are in the church age if they haven 't heard of the Holy Ghost? Vs 2. These disciples in vs 1 have believed but have not received the Holy Ghost. The problem is that they are not disciples of Jesus Christ ch 18:24-25, they are discoples of Apollos. Apollos was not even saved when he made these disciples because they knew nothing about Jesus Christ ch 18:25-26. The revelation they had only went to Mark 1:4. These didn 't have the Holy Ghost because they hadn 't believed on Christ Jn 7:39.

Hello Jacob: This is not my Word but God 's Word. Paul preached and taught Acts 2: 38. In Acts 19: 1 thru 7 he rebaptized 12 men in the correct way. He laid hands on them and they were filled with the Holy Ghost. Paul taught not to forbid speaking in tongues, 1 Corinthians 14: 39. He wrote Galatians 3: 27 "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ ". Paul throughout his Epistles and Books he spoke and taught in one form or another about Acts 2: 38. Jesus even stated that you cannot see or enter heaven with being born again of water and spirit. Peter clarified it on the day of Pentecost with Acts 2: 38. This promise is for everyone, not just the Jews.
  • Jerry m. Leonard on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Gerandene and Jacob, Romans Chapter 16 verse 25 says, Now to Him that is of power to establish you according to My Gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the MYSTERY, which was kept secret since the world began, THE MY GOSPEL is the Gospel of Grace given to Paul, the reveling of the MYSTERY was the CHURCH given to the Apostle Paul, the Church given to Paul only, that was a secret since the world began. Why would I say that? The Kingdom Gospel was prophesied from Exodus Ch. 19,v.6 till Calling of Paul. If the Church would not have been kept secret it would have confused all the Apostle and least 8000 more in Acts Ch. 2,38. So brother and sister in Christ you 've got it right, have a happy year.

Hello Word: You will not provoke me to anger. I humbly say this to you. As long as God give me breath in the body, sound mind, and continue to teach me His word. I will teach the salvation plan of Acts 2: 38 and the rapture. This is the prime directive during this Dispensation of Grace.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but new ye say, WE SEE therefore your sin remaineth.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Amen Gerandene, it 's so sad. They don 't realize that the kingdom offer is still there until Acts 7. So the gospel of the kingdom is still being preached in Acts 2:38 which is a different gospel Gal 1:8-9 than we preach. Paul is the apostle for the church age Rom 11:13,16:4, 1Tim 2:7. 2Tim 1:1, 2:7. We, like Paul preach the gospel of the grace of God Acts 20:24 and are saved by grace through faith and it is NOT OF WORKS. If you want to obey the gospel Trent Romans 16:16 says, But they have not all OBEYED the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath BELIEVED our report? Not Chatauna. Acts 2:38 is not our gospel, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Revelation 1 - 11 years ago
Hello Divyanshu Sen: 1 Thessalonians 4: 12 thru 18 is talking about the saints of God. It is talking about the people who have put on the name of Jesus Christ by following Acts 2: 38. This is talking about the Rapture of his church, his bride, and his people. The description is in the Bible, but no man knows the day or the hour when the son of man will come, Matthew 24: 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only . This is the part that is hidden like a thief in the night. A thief does not let you know when he is coming to take something, however you do know the description of a thief.

Part 1 of 2: Hello Ar: I humbly say this. I am not in no way offended. I should have started my previous post off the way I started this one off. I am sorry that I miss understood you. It is hard to tell with some of the post how soon they will be posted. I thought I had it down pat but it changes. In most post, if not all, I have to connect with Acts 2: 38 because in the end the salvation plan is the prime directive under this Dispensation of Grace.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Genesis 6 - 11 years ago
Hello Jayson Duvan: God does give man a chance to repent, under each dispensation of the Bible. We are now living in the Dispensation of Grace. Under this dispensation man is given the opportunity to become saved by following Acts 2: 38. This is how Jesus Christ becomes your personal savior. A person must be born of water and spirit to enter and to see the kingdom of Heaven. There is no getting around this. Is a person has not the spirit of God he is none of his, Romans 8: 9 "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his ". This scripture did not say all Jews or all Gentiles or some people it stated "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his ". This means any of mankind. The spirit is the Holy Ghost who is named Jesus Christ, John 14: 26.

Hello Mark: I thank God for his Word and the truth of it. Find a Pentecostal Church that is truly teaching Acts 2: 38 so that you may get the correct Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. May God continue to open up your understanding of the scriptures. If you are not filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance, may God complete his work in you and give you this wonderful gift. My heart is overjoyed.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 1 - 11 years ago
Hello Joni G.: I do not know what happened to my number 7 in my first post. So I redone it and maybe they will let it come out. Part 7 of 7: I know that Acts 2: 38 is real and you have to have it. I have experienced it myself. I have seen people that have been filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance just like me and how it is written that Peter and Mary and countless of others have experienced.
  • Geraldene on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Chatauna Robinson, I was lead to the Lord through the Holy Spirit by a well known Preacher over 35 years ago. I thought I might be of some help to you. I know I was Saved back then and I 've seen too many things that I know the Lord has worked in my life. I was Saved by Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ 's Cross alone. I 'm signing off Acts Ch. 2,v. 38 most likely for good. Have a Happy New Year.
  • John Hawks on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
In verse 38 its obvious.....to have your sins remitted you have to REPENT....turn away from your sinful life and be BAPTIZED...FULLY EMERSED...PLAIN AND SIMPLE....wash away your sins to walk in newness of life....a new creature....No Jews or Gentils....just Christians! Remember the story of Philip and the Eunuch...the Eunuch was taught about Jesus and rejoiced after Baptizim. Notice that in Vs 41 they Gladly Recevied the teaching and then were Baptized. Notice Vs 47 that only God adds to his church those who Obey his teachings....no man or church should vote on you being a member. To God be the Glory Forever! Amen
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Jacob and Geraldene There were not only Jews there on the day of Pentecost, but there were Gentiles there as well, strangers of Rome, proselytes converted to Judaism, Cretes and Arabians. Those who follow Acts 2 38 we are not blind to the Bible. Like Paul the scales fell from our eyes when God filled us with the Holy Ghost either before the baptism or after the baptism and now we see very clearly.
  • Gerandene on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Brother Jacob 's comment on 12 19 2014,3 12pm... You spoke the Truth if I 've ever Heard it but I 'm beginning to think no one online on Acts 2,38 can understand it. They have eyes but they can 't see.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Geraldene In addition to my comment. The Dispensation of the Law ended with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Romans 10 4 "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth ".
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 2 of 2 In regard to the Beatitudes, Jesus did teach while the Dispensation of Law which is the fifth dispensation was still in place, however, what he taught was concerning the saved. Remember the Bible is written to the saved. A person can be sweet, meek, and humble. A person can be morally and ethically sound, but if these people do not get saved according to Acts 2 38 under this dispensation of Grace they are lost. A person cannot get into heaven or see heaven except they be born of water and spirit. Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice therefore it is not required for animal sacrifice anymore. I have not read in Revelation where that will be a requirement during the 1000 years of peace.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Part 1 of 2 Hello Geraldene I am not sure where you are going with this question, however in regard to John the Baptist Jesus Christ was paying tribute to John the Baptist only in Matthew 11 9 thru 15. Paul in Ephesians 3 9 was showing humility and self abasement. Now if you are asking me if they are both going to heaven, the answer is yes. Remember John the Baptist was under the law therefore he did not have to follow Acts 2 38. Paul did because lived to see the Grace Age which we are in now.
  • Geraldene on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
To Chatauna Robinson, Since the Beatitudes is Law and the Kingdom of Christ 1000 years Reign is going to be Animal Sacrifices that must be law too because Christ is going to rule with the rod of Iron. My question is in Matthew CH. 11 v. 11. Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist notwithstanding, he that is least in kingdom of heaven is greater than he, could this not be the Apostle Paul because they both are in heaven now for Paul says he is the least of all as much as two times?
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Hello Jerry M. Leonard In addition to my two part response that I hope will come out today or tomorrow, please read the response I gave to Susan Rush under Matthew 10, dated 12 24 14 concerning the Dispensation of Grace that we are living in now. Also Israel was in part blinded so that we, the Gentiles, could be grafted in, Romans 11 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. This did not mean that there would not be any Jews to follow Acts 2 38, because the 120 were Jews. As I stated to Geraldene Leonard, there were and are Jews that are truly saved according to Acts 2 38.
  • Trent on Acts 2:38 - 11 years ago
The book of Hebrews explains what it means to obey the gospel which is Christ 's death burial and resurrection. Please read it. It is very clear that baptism is how we put on Christ. It is not a work but is an act of obedience.
