Where are the true Prophets. They are the one 's who bring revival. They draw us back to God from false doctrine. They are a part of the five fold ministry. All I see today are profits for Money.

What people really need to understand is that we have left the natural when we live in sin?Being righteous in the eyes of God is natural.

JESUS IS LORD. THEIR IS NO OTHER NAME GIVEN THAT MEN SHALL BE SAVED. ALLAH BUDDAH DIDNT DIE ON THE CROSS. JESUS DID. AND HE IS THE ONLY ADVOCATE TO GET TO GOD THE FATHER AMEN
  • Elorm on Deuteronomy 18:18 - 11 years ago
Brother TAHIR should note that Jesus ' death was prophesied as well. The context in which you explained the purpose of death does not suit the scenario.

"Prophet a person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God. " Is it not possible that Jesus was indeed a prophet for he did teach us the will of God however, he is not just a prophet but also the son of God?? This is a question and not a statement
  • Imran on Deuteronomy 18 - 11 years ago
This is the exact meaning what GOD all might says I will give them a prophet from among themselves, like you, and I will put my words in his mouth, and he will say to them whatever I give him orders to say. In this verses clearly says that JESUS is prophet.

  • George on Deuteronomy 18 - 11 years ago
Deut 18 v 18 among your brothern a prophet will be raised . It is about Jesus Christ from the Israelities . From Adam to king David where Jesus comes 14 generations. From Issace son of Abraham , where God made a convenant or agreement only to the decendants of Issace who are the Israelities . All of them are Jewish . But to Ishmael God only said that I will bless him. cos Ishmael was send to the desert . So the prophet we are talking about is Jesus Christ... Amen...!!

Jesus, Prophet? or Jesus, God? or Jesus, Prophet God Holy Spirit?
  • Christian on Deuteronomy 18 - 11 years ago
I don 't beleive Deuteronomy 18 v 18 is refering to Muhammad as that prophet who is like Moses. It is very clear that this verse of scripture is refering to Jesus as that prophet. The criteria s which you have put forward to identify that prophet who is like Moses are far too humanistic in nature to qualify as criteria s. There are many other criteria 's which Muslims has overlooked, criterias that proves that Jesus is like Moses. I think Muslims over the years have tried very hard to make a case that Muhammad is like Moses. Muhammad is not like Moses!! If you are prepared to discus this issue further please reply.

this is a clear phrophecy of Jesus,as a capital P is used, mohammed is nowhere in the bible, except when the phrophets and Jesus warned us of wolves in sheeps clothing, false prophets etc...
  • Tripple ''a'' on Deuteronomy 18 - 12 years ago
D above verse clearly pointed 2 prophet Muhammad (S A W) cos it said among their brethren which means anoda tribe entirely nt 4rm israelites, nd he shall speak 2 dem all dat I command, dis carefully observation wil tel u nd remind u dat it was only moses (ASW) who brought 10 commandments 4rm God, like wise our noble prophet (PBOH) he brought commandments 4rm God, bt 4 Jesus (ASW) there was never any verse of d bible dat point out any commandment he brought, bt instead followed those already brought as claimed by him in matthew 5:17-19, nd moreover christian claimed Jesus 2 b son of God nt a Prophet.

In verse 18 who is the prophet being prophisied
  • Nafis on Deuteronomy 18 - 12 years ago
verse 18 only confirms Muhammad (PBUH) as the prophet . It says 'among their brethren', means 'Ishamelites',if it had said among them, it would mean 'Israelites".Also note that 'put my words in his mouth', precisely fits Muhammad(PBUH), as Quran was revealed verbatim to Him via Gabriel, & he was unlettered prophet.
  • TAHIR on Deuteronomy 18:18 - 12 years ago
Christians say that this verse #18 prophesies about the advent of Jesus. On the other hand Muslims say that this prophesy is about Muhammad. Apart from the argument given above, the Muslim’s claim is further supported by the verse #20 which reads:
“But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die”.
According to the widely accepted Christian belief, Jesus died on the cross. Hence this prophesy did not fulfil in Jesus’s personality. On the other hand, Muhammad was not only raised from the brethren of the sons of Israel (i.e., Ishmaelites) but also did not die (neither on cross or through any other unnatural mean) except for his natural death; hence he is the right interpretation of this prophesy. [Here this must not be forgotten that Muslims do not agree with the above Christian belief that Jesus died on cross. They accept this Christian belief only for argument sake.]

Malik, sadly fooled by Satan and his minions because That Prophet is not Muhammad, it plainly says He will be a Jew. Islam has ignored that fact and has been blinded by Satan!

  • Kevin on Deuteronomy 18 - 14 years ago
    Rajat,
Something else of extreme significance is that Jesus was born of a virgin, as even the Qur'an confirms. It doesn't say that about any other "prophet", including Mohammed.
  • GM Malik on Deuteronomy 18 - 14 years ago
Deuteronomy, chapter 18, verse 23-24.interesting discussion about Mohammad (PBH))another striking similarity between Moses (PBH))and Mohammad (PBH) is that both fought wars with thier enemies while Jesus (PBH) did not fight any wars.
  • Rajat on Deuteronomy 18 - 14 years ago
    PROPHETIC COMPARISMS:

    a. Both Moses and Jesus came in miraculous ways -------- Muhammad came in ordinary way.

    b. Both Moses and Jesus were Prophetic since infancy -------- Muhammad became a Prophet in adulthood after his trade work that took him to judeo-christian nations/communities

    c. Both Moses and Jesus spoke to God directly as prophets-------Muhammad communicated with Allah via angel Gabriel

    d. Powerful pagan kings tried to kill both Moses and Jesus to nip their prophet-hoods in their infancies ------ Muhammad was not threatened by any pagan force even in his youth.

    e. Both Moses and Jesus came from religious families ------ Muhammad came from a pagan family.

    f. Both Moses and Jesus had their prophethood characterized by WONDERFUL MIRACLE performances ------ No miracle performance in the Prophethood of Muhammad.

    g. Both Moses and Jesus used the Torah ------- Muhammad used the Qur'an.

    h. Moses had just a wife and Jesus had none ------- Muhammad had nine (9) wives at a time in addition to the concubines.

    i. Both Moses and Jesus were literate Prophets ------ Muhammad was reportedly not

    j. Both Moses and Jesus were FROM AMONG those promised ------ Muhammad came from Saudi Arabiya away from those promised.

    k. Both Moses and Jesus died in accordance with prophetic outline ------ Muhammad was killed by a Jewish women who poisoned him and it was not based on any prophetic schedule

...........................so all these are more than enough to prove that the respective verse in the most HOLY BIBLE refers to GOD JESUS

    @ Obidiah

I agree. This definitely is talking about Jesus. No offense to anyone, but because the Jews did not accept him, does not mean that he is not God's son.
  • Disciple on 1 Timothy 2 - 15 years ago
Malachi 3:6 I am the lord God and I change not..
God does not change neither does His word. Men and their wiser than thou wisdom is revolving daily, twisting the word of God to their benefit.
Man does not hate God. Satan does. Satan's spirit gets into man which cause man to flaw and rebel. That is why God is almighty and His wisdom and might is not like our own nor can be understood by those that seek there own way.
God is so good that he gives us a choice to choose right or wrong. He is not a forcful God.
From the beginning of time God uses a man to guide, lead and instruct those that will receive him. (First reference) Deuteronomy 18:15-22
God uses a man not women.
    1Timothy 2:12,13, Isaiah3:12, 1Corinthians 11:3
    LET GOD'S WORD STAND

i think alot of these people are wrong. it talks about a prophecy of jesus
  • Ibrahim on Deuteronomy 18 - 15 years ago
It is cristal clear that jesus is not lime moses.
mohamed(PEACE BE UPON HIM)IS more like moses than jesus. Both moses and mohamed have father and mother but jesus only has a mother, both mohamed and moses have wives and children but jesus was single without children. Both mohamed and moses were accepted by theier people but jesus till now is not accepted by the jews. Both mohamed and moses died and buried but jesus didnot died or you christians said he was crucified. So this verse is talking about mohamed(PUB) and not jesus.
We know that the jews and the arabs are from the same father Abraham. He is the father of ismail and isac.
