For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans do the same?

And if ye salute your friends only, what do ye more than others? do not even the mean people so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I know you've read this part. It's very hard to pray for them. You have to stand fast and do excellent work, AS UNTO JESUS! Make HIM proud.

I had the same problem with the bosses and unholy coworkers. If you are working as if Jesus is your Boss; this will be easy.

Pray every day for them all to be promoted.

No sour looks. Be helpful but don't get drawn into office GOSSIP. Having done all, TO STAND. If you will do this as to Jesus your Big Boss: He's gonna take care of you. Stand solid in faith!

It works! I saw a lot of mean people get promoted out...and I had 'peace in the valley'.

It's good that u read every now and then but you should read it often and not just one book. Daily Bible reading is a Christians way of growth. Here are some scripture references for you to look up that talk about the pow of God's word and what it can do for you when you read them often; Joshua 1:8, Matthew 4:4, Psalm 119:97, 2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Psalm 1:2-3, Acts 17:11, John 6:63, Hebrews 4:12, and Ephesians 6:17-20. Carlos, here is what I get from Colossians 1:16:

For by Him, or more literally, in Him. There's a prepositional word there that means in. In Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, and that's lordships, or principalities, or authorities:

So He's made everything, both visible and invisible. I look back to Ephesians 6:12 and I see that these listings of dominions, principalities, and powers are ranks of angels. Angels have military rank, both good angels and evil.

Paul says, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The word high places in the Greek means spirit realm. So it seems as though angels have rank.

But the emphasis here is that in Christ, all things were created, both visible and invisible. Things that are in heaven and things that are upon the earth, all the spiritual creatures, angels, were created in Him. All things were created by Him, and that's the word through. In Greek, it is DIA with the Genitive. All things were created through Him, and for Him: that's the preposition EIS, meaning unto Him, or for Him.

I'm just sharing what I see from that Verse, not looking for a long drawn out discussion, but just sharing my understanding. I am however curious to see how others see this verse.

In Ephesians 6:11 it reads: "In whom we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will. God counsel himself. The only other beings present at man's creation were angels. "Hear O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD." Deuteronomy 6:4.

I believe the end times we are in the Lord is telling us we need to fight a great spiritual fight against our enemy the devil. We need to fight to keep our faith, fight to keep our salvation and be warriors. We need to put on the full armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. This armor is powerfully given to us by our Lord Jesus and described fully in Ephesians 6:10-18 by the Apostle Paul who had the spirit of God.

Also take a look at Matthew 13:57 - Jesus had the same problem with his family not respecting him.

I don't think they're very toxic... Not saying they aren't but.. Maybe they're troubled inside. I pray that you find the answers to this. And I sure do pray that you find resolution to such an issue. In times like any.. Be sure to remain thankful to God as Job did. He will surely reward you.

My parents are Christians. They believe in the "respect your parents" way of life. That is fine. However, they don't show any respect towards me, their youngest child. I am an adult and they don't even respect anything I say about my own children. They do as they please and I am to just allow it. My husband and sister in law notice they way they treat me is not very kind. And they mostly behave this way when I am alone with them. My sister in law only knows because she happened to answer my phone when my mother thought she was talking to me. I am to the point that I don't want to go around them anymore, however they are my parents. I am tired of feeling insignificant to them. I have tried to talk to them about this in the past, but it leads to arguments and my mother saying "I am just such a terrible mother." Please give me some advice...What does the Bible REALLY say about toxic parents?? Please help.

I sometimes pick up the Bible and just open it and read where it lands, tonight I was feeling very hopeless and scared, and it landed on 2 Corinthians 1 - 12. I felt it was God leading me to read those verses. They are speaking of this pandemic (metaphorically). It was such a spiritual feeling that came over me and took away my anxiety and fear.

What does he mean, "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth"?

Rod the gospels are the story and life of JESUS CHRIST.Paul,s Epistles were to the seven Churches scattered through out Asia Minor,Greece and Rome.The Gospel is for JESUS CHURCH throughout the WORLD.Those who believe in Him.FOR HIS SHEEP>THE ones who hear HIS VOICE and follow Him.And I want to mention this to Adam;Try to be obedient because it,s the right thing to do.Christ was obedient to His Father.Be an imitator of CHRIST.You try,and try again,keep trying.In Ephesians 6:1 children are told to obey their parents.Shouldn,t we try to obey our Heaven Father even more?Be CHRIST like He obeyed His FATHER by the finish work on the cross for us.(all for us).GOD BLESS.

Felisha, if you mean as in a house that is haunted, then I have not encountered any & the Bible doesn't speak of such occurrences. The Bible rather speaks of spirits & particularly in the Old Testament in the Bible, warnings for God's people to not deal with familiar spirits & wizards. There were people in those early days, & of course these days as well, who consulted the dead & who deal with satanic spirits. These satanic spirits are very real as seen in Scripture (see Mathew 10:1, 12:45, Mark 3:11 for a few examples). But as far as haunted houses or even in seances, it could well be evil spirits mimicking departed people. But these are just my thoughts as I've never been involved in this. And these of course, are very dangerous practices & you should stay well clear of them & from anyone who tries to seduce you to join them.

Hi April, I would like for you to really understand what is going on here. Ephesians 6:12 says we wrestle not against flesh and blood. So the first thing to understand is the physical people are not the problem, it is Satan and his angels. So first, PRAY for the people being used by Satan. Tell God you forgive them for they know not what they do. This way, you are doing your Flesh part of what God says to love your neighbor. (God will honor that prayer). Secondly, pray to God that he deal with the deamons that is in his realm. He will honor that prayer. Prayer works in two parts. You pray then you act. Your part is to forgive. Ezekiel 25:17 - Psalm 94:1. Trust in God, he will not leave you.

I believe there are unique times of fearing God & serving God. Sometimes the fear of God is to fear His wrath that will influence people to serving Him. I believe a heathy fear of God is important, like serving a righteous Father that is a God of justice: Psalms 2:11 , Psalms 5:7 , Psalms 15:4 , Psalms 25:14 , Psalms 34:11 , Proverbs 1:7 , Ecclesiastes 12:13, Ephesians 6:5 ,
I love the Scripture Bob quoted 'perfect love casts out all fear' but that is what Jesus did in action & it's what we do when we LOVE Him, we trust Him through all fear, because He is faithful. Psalms 23:4 , Psalms 27:3 , Psalms 33:18 , Psalms 49:5

In the book of Job ,Satan wants to deceive. He will try and take Job down and his believers down, by any means.God promises that Believers will be accounted for in the front lines of faith. We war not against flesh and blood but spiritual darkness. God has given us all the necessary tools. Ephesians 6:10-17 The birth of Christ,the fulfillment of his death and resurrection,and salvation of mankind will crush the head of the adversary. Luke 9;23 take up your cross, and follow him. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Dear BSP..."We Are Victorious"..thru the blood of Jesus The Christ! if of course, our hearts were True to God as we prayed and proclaimed Jesus..Our Lord God and Savior! Chapt 6:12 stands out most to me in drawing attention that...if it's "not flesh and blood "...then it's Spiritual!.. Thus Spiritual Warfare...which by the way, I don't hear it being talked about much amongst "believers'.... Sad..Sad.. Thus "The Battlefield of the Mind"; as Born Again Believer's, we must 'ask the The Holy Spirit in us, to guide us in thought and decisions according to God's Will ! Thoughts and decisions ultimately reached by the "choice/choice's" made and eventually, if not sooner, consequences follow!

Proverbs 13:24 Proverbs 29:15-17 Ephesians 6:4 are good verses to look at. Look them in the eyes. Talk soft do not yell but be firm if you say a punishment you must go through with it. It takes time if you did not train them well at first but don't give up. Make sure if you do wrong, that you go to your child and apologize, they need to see that you know that even parents need forgiven.

6.12 Warns us of the grave danger we are in today.Many of our "masters" are evil, malevolent creatures under Lucifer's control. Our churches, nation's, families and friends are in mortal and spiritual peril. We must be faithful to God the only true master of all creation and clothe ourselves in the armour of His Church and Word.

We have a Wonderful Promises in Rom8:1-39, V38-39 For I am Persuaded that Neither death nor life nor Angels nor Principalities nor Powers nor things present nor things to come nor Height nor Depth nor any other Creature shall be able to Separate us from The Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We won't fear when we are Born Again of God's Seed 1Jn3:9 and Perfected in His Love 1Jn4:17-21.

I have been battling satan-demons for a long time in many ways. Last year, I was hit with a severe pancreas condition in the ER. I have had numerous procedures, over 8 in past 7 months, one time I died. Over 26 doctors have told me I have pancreas cancer, but I told each one, by the stripes of Jesus Christ, I am healed. Yes, they think I am not realistic. Be faithful Eph 6:13, read it daily.

I was laying on an emergency room bed because I couldnt hardly move. It felt like I was bout to dye and all of a sudden God spoke to and said you battle is spiritual and not physical. Get up and pray. The next few minutes the doc came in and said there was nothing wrong with me. And mentioned that I had to leave. Who did the sons of Adam Eve marry, their sisters? if so how come there is such a variety of genetic material and multiple races?

The Bible has advice for everything!!!! Our Masters, may be anyone that exercise authority over us, like a supervisor. We are encouraged to keep a good work ethic, as Jehovah God will repay us if our fleshly "master" doesn't. It even instructions these "masters" to deal kindly with their subordinates. After all, we ALL have a master in heaven, whether we recognize his authority or not.
