According to (it's) kind is the correct read . groups of living organisms belong in the same created kind if they have descended from the same ancestral gene pool . grass seed will yield grass , fruit seed will yield fruit ... This does not preclude new species because this represents a partitioning of the original gene pool . Information is lost or conserved not gained . A new species could arrive when a population is isolated and inbreeding occurs . By this definition a new species is not a new kind but a further partitioning of an existing kind . Strong's Hebrew

After reading this , go back to the chapter and read verse 11 - to the end , I think it will provide a bit more clarity , it did for me , thanks .

In Genesis 1:25 it says God made the "beasts of the earth after his kind". I am unsure what this means?

Hi Greg. A 'firmament' as in Genesis 1:6-10, means 'an expanse, an extended surface'. This was a specific creation by God, which He called 'heaven' (v8). This is generally taken to mean the expanse we see above us.

In my understanding, & I can't be certain for lack of more detail, God took the large body of water that encompassed the Earth & placed an empty expanse to separate the waters. The higher part of the waters were above the sky & the lower part of the waters remained on the Earth. This smaller amount of water on the Earth, God gathered together in a way that dry land could now appear, so we now have land fit for air-breathing creatures to live on & seas fit for sea life as well. What happened eventually to the large body of water above the sky is anyone's guess.

Is the bible saying that all the animals were tamed one and could live in perfect harmony

Yes, seems captivity, slavery, bondage could relate to human trafficking.

I'm familiar with the break in Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 as possibility of so-called Gap Theory. Makes sense to explain when and how Lucifer fell to the earth. Also makes sense in explaining about the fallen angels (sons of God) mating with daughters of men.

That seems to be a subject of today that is pretty fascinating. Supposedly the seeds of the fig tree were retrieved from the jars recovered with the Dead Sea Scrolls. Speculation was/is these were the types present during the time Jesus walked in Jerusalem. The most remarkable is some people tried planting the seeds & were successfully growing them today, bringing Interest back to scriptures!! Praise God

That is certainly an interesting question that I hadn't heard before. We are looking at a chapter where the king of Tyrus is mentioned followed by the prince of Tyrus who is the source behind the king and hence has an origin and a fate unique to anything else (being the only cherub said to fall; as well as being assigned to the bottomless pit and his emissary (Satan and the False Prophet) being the first beings actually thrown into the lake of fire itself.

A parallel passage is Isaiah 14. There seem to be some indications that there was some sort of world of spirit beings before man appeared; not only from the break in Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 but also spelled out in a similar verse in Zechariah 14. Whether there was an original primordial earth at that time with an original destruction BEFORE the one in Adam's time explaining the apparent age of the universe is something often up for debate. At the very least; Satan needed a time to fall into the sin of pride after his original creation (see Job 33:7); then there had to be the rebellion where the massive 1/3 of all angels were drawn into his plot to be worshipped; then the actual fall from heaven; which also seems to come in stages from losing his authority; to actually being cast down to earth in the Tribulation. Revelation 18 mentions the souls of men along with all other types of slavery being part of the final Babylon world system. Certainly slavery is not limited to physical bondage; but spiritual as well and that is Satan's end goal; so there is certainly world domination through religious and economic control from the time of Nimrod to the Antichrist's Tribulation rule whose authority is granted by God to fulfill his purposes.

It would seem as well in study of the giants in scripture and the ancient structures that advanced knowledge was given by demons and the giants had the physical strength to build structures that defy logic as to what science knows of "prehistoric man".

God gave people dominion over his world in the Bible 40 plus times?

with this in mind I asked GOD to protect the driver and his family While driving in a Motor car?

Then I lifted the bonnet of the car and could feel GODS spiritual energy flowing down my arm into the cars motor, then God told me to project his energy over the whole car, internal and external.

Firstly, the owner/driver must give permission to heal their car, so they can reap God given benefits.

The outcome was that the driver was using his subconscious mind to drive with.

The subconscious mind or GOD is in control to the extent that your mind avoids potholes, tells you if any part of your car needs repairing and informs you how to have those repairs done cheaply.

If you need a parking spot your subconscious mind will find it for you by adjusting your speed of travel so that you arrive just as the parking spot becomes available. Also, your car will never have an accident, and your fuel bill will be less and cheaper because GOD will communicate where to buy fuel.

So, by living the life GOD intends, never will your family be in danger in any and all situations as God can see the future and allows you to act accordingly.

You may find that substance abuse in the family will stop and that all participants who have their motor car prayed for will remove guns from the home.

In the Bible God Asked Gideon from 5,000 soldiers only take those to battle who drink the water and look for the enemy at the same time. If you pick up water in your hands looking for the enemy as you drink Your eyes and eyebrows are raised. GOD had direct communication with the 300 soldiers selected.

    Dear John.

I think that it is best for one to believe that Jesus in the eternal Son of God who became flesh for us. Believing that Jesus is God and equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit helps us to understand the Love of God, His plan of redemption, and his workings in history to redeem for Himself a people called by His name, which Jesus refers to in Matthew 28:19 when He told the disciples to baptize disciples in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

John, I am wondering more of what you think about this. Hope to hear from you soon.

MY comment is between verses 1 & 2, what happened that God had to say let there be when He already made heaven and Earth? Was there a catastrophic event that had occurred for God to hover over the deep?

    Dear Legends,

Yes, the Holy Spirit has always existed with the Father and the Son in a what the Scriptures call the Godhead.

In Genesis 1:2 it says that the Spirit was hovering over the face of the earth when it was void and unformed.

In Exodus 35:31 It says that God filled Bezalel with the Spirit to enable him to supervise the building of all the furnishings for the tabernacle. Numbers 11:17 speaks of the Spirit being upon Moses and of God causing the Spirit to also be upon the elders to help Moses with manage the affairs of the people. Ezekiel 2:2 speaks of God calling Ezekiel as a prophet and putting His Spirit in Ezekiel when God spoke to Him.

These are just a few of the many references to the Spirit and His work in the O.T. prior to the Son of God becoming flesh as Jesus. In the Genesis verse, it shows that the Spirit predated the creation of the world, which tells us that He was alive prior and participated in creation along with the Father and the Son (the Word). Prior to creation, only God existed, but He exists as the Father, the Son (Word who became flesh as Jesus) and the Holy Spirit, not as three Gods, but as three Persons in One God (As Scripture makes it very clear that God is One and the Only God in existence.

It amazing; The proof is all there. God created the universe; and rested from his work on the seventh day. What is work but the using of Energy. Yes, He created the universe and energy and space all at the same time probably as scientists say with the Big Bang theory; and of course the universe seems to be still expanding and stars are still exploding; not all of course but some; and thus planets are still being created; maybe even new earths and moons just like ours but so far away; forget about them. We will never really know; but now I do know that God rested by stopping using His energy. I now know what rest is and I hope to do so on the Sabbath; unless there is Good that I must do on that day. There are always blessings in the 10 commandments and what God says to do; and I can see that in resting on the Sabbath, Both the mind, body, brain and soul, the physical and the mental.

If Gods plan was for us to die, why did he ask Adam and Eve, "not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and Evil?" That would make the God I know, to be passive aggressive/manipulation. The God I know is straight forward with his commands. I believe God meant what he asked. We always seem to choose the long way around the truth. We are dismissing the fact that the serpent betrayed God and man. The tree of life is still in Eden, guarded by the Cherubims. God is all good/trusting and knowing, but I can't believe he is manipulating. I believe he always has another plan for the times his plans were interrupted by Satan. I also believe his plan would run smoother and if he didn't have to "allow" Satan to dig his hole into eternal outer Darkness. "Thats where we all come in, the witnesses."

    Genesis 1:20

from here God creates all the living animals that moves on the earth and we know he present them before Adam to name them.

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    Jacquil,

GOD never temps us to sin, James 1:13,

Genesis 5:2, Genesis 1:26,27 made Male & female

Genesis 4, seems to clearly prove there were many other people to "subdue the Earth" & "have dominion" Genesis 1:28,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Dear Olive,

I agree with you that God created energy. It is a force like gravity and governed by natural laws. God's nature is not governed by anything outside of Himself. He is the only Being that is eternally self-existent. He does not derive any aspect of His nature from outside of Himself. But energy is something man God and man can control and manipulate.

Therefore, I do not believe that energy is a divine aspect, but, like matter, was created by God at the creation of the universe.
  • Pete - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
i wold say that you are right on but we are living souls; and I look at that as living energy as I think that soul, among other things, means energy; bur regardless, we are living souls and we also have a mind where we can choose right from wrong to preserve our living soul. I believe that our living soul is just below the soul of an angel and that when we preserve it; we become angels; and that all babies are little angels until they start to develop their minds and then it depends on what we and they put into it until they are mature at say 30 years or so. Thank you for a wonderful comment. Take care and be save. So far I have avoided COVID
  • Olive - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
We will never completely understand God, But he is not energy, he created it. We will never completely understand how this is possible, but I trust God on this one.

I posted a previous comment but probably did it wrong as I don't see it; but in that comment i said that it Eve was probably created on the 6th day, as that was when Adam was created but I wasn't sure because God rested on the 7th day; and thus I wondered did He create her after He rested; but now I am sure He created Eve on the 6th day not only because I think the Bible says he rested after all His creations; but also Time does not mean much to God if in fact it means anything; but it does mean a lot to me and Adam and other people as we only live so long; and thus He created Eve to be sure in Adam's time and of course she had children for Adam etc.....
  • Peter - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
wasn't that on the 6th day? I think that Eve was created from Adam but God rested on the seventh day and so I really don't know when Eve was created whether it was before God rested or after? I would have to reread about it to see if I can see the sequence.
  • Peter on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
I am a Living soul; and I should think like to preserve my Living Soul; a little bit of God; such a minute bit compared to the God, so small it is almost impossible to comprehend and so maybe I should be saying; just a little bit below the angles; like a newborn baby with living soul but flawed by the development of my mind; as that of course also flaws my living soul; but now I feel the peace of the living soul and that is what I now must preserve and develop; and I will try to do the best I can, I hope. .
