Lord God, You see Mike right where he is today. Please speak to his spirit and lift him out of this despair. When we feel Your love and believe Your Word we will be lifted up. Please lift him up today. In Jesus name. Help him figure out how to get through every/any situation with victory. Speak peace and joy to his spirit Lord. Thank You.

Cast all your care on Him, He cares for you! Find a place to get alone and talk to Jesus from your heart. Wait on Him to answer. He will show you what you need to know.

    :-) Cindy,

Isaiah 40:31 has special meaning to me and I hold it dear. There is so much strength to be gotten when we sit in His presence and receive His help and blessings. May God bless you and your family today.

Dear Gabriel, I'd just like to add to what Donna said: God is always in control, but His answer to prayer is not always quick. Isaiah 40:31"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint."

Keep praying, reading your Bible, singing, and never give up.

Dear Matthew, never stop praying and waiting upon the Lord to answer, for He will answer. It may not be what you expect, be He always answers.

Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalms 130:5 - 127:6 - I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. (Read More...)

Psalms 37:7 - Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Precious Sister GiGi, How are you feeling today? You're on my heart and ALWAYS on the heart of The Father! Im lifting you up in prayer today. God is SO so good!

Mark 11:23, Oh Lord, hear our prayers. We're casting mountains into the sea today with our mustard seed faith. Remove all hindrance as we make our petitions known today. Bind up all opposition. Lord heal our diseases, lift our heavy burdens, and save our lost loved ones and most importantly speak Lord, we're listening.

    John 10:27

We rejoice and give thanks! All of the praise, honor, and glory. You alone are worthy.

Isaiah 40:31, we're waiting upon You Lord. Renew our strength.

Hear all that bring their prayers here to the boards seeking a touch from You. We ask You to answer each prayer and be merciful to us all.

Bless, protect, and strengthen all that are ministering and laboring in the Kingdom today. Help us to give You our all. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
  • Chris - In Reply on Jeremiah 18 - 4 years ago
Thanks Marke. That's a difficult concept for us to properly grasp. On the one hand, we have an Omniscient God ( Psalm 147:5; Psalm 139:1-4; Isaiah 40:28), and then we see as in Jeremiah 18:8-10, "If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them": occasions when God 'repents' (or, is sorry, changes His Mind) when 'a nation obeys or disobeys Him'.

I agree with you, God does give us free Will, but also the wherewithal to make proper decisions based on our knowledge of Him & His Word. Though He knows ultimately what we will do at the time of our decision, seeing Him 'repent' could indicate that His change of Mind is at the physical/material level: that of altering the course of events based on man's decision. I never see that God is caught by surprise by man's good or evil acts, rather that He deliberately acts according to man's actions. His Omniscience never changes, but His Acts for or against man are made as a result of man's decisions.

Bible supports round earth. Calls it a circle: Isaiah 40:22

I've never met anyone who believes in flat earth who has travelled much, because travellers know that when you fly in one direction long enough you end up in the same starting point, because the earth is a sphere. People do this every day, so there's no mystery to it. You can also prove it by the sun setting in different times around the world. If it was flat the sun would set at the same time. Also you wouldn't have opposite seasons depending on which pole you're near. You can also just measure the shadow length and angle of a common item like a straw and be on the phone at the exact time as someone else measuring it on the opposite side of the earth. Obviously one side would be nighttime which already refutes the theory, but if it was day, the shadows are very different lengths. There's so much evidence suporting sphere earth that it's mind boggling why people can't even agree on that.

Solomon got the earthly visible form of wisdom and all of the other things to reign over a visible people and nation of this age and in that no one will beat him.

However, the book of Ecclesiates shows that Isaiah 40:8-9 still holds true over all that Solomon was given in this visible life.

Jesus Christ has the heavenly invisible form of power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing ( Revelation 5:12) hidden in the Old Testament scriptures that Solomon was only an earthly shadow of. Christ is the substance. Christ Himself is the Word of God that is eternal and that gives the abiding eternal life that Isaiah spoke of, but that Word is hidden from all those who only seek what is under the sun. Set your mind on Him and by faith abide in Him to bear fruit rather than setting your mind on the things Solomon got that all passed away when his life ended on earth. Being super rich in the things that pass away is nothing compared to the poorest person that has the smallest treasure in heaven that is eternal. The only thing left of Solomon that has lasted is his contribution to the scriptures that reveal and point us to Christ, and that is the only thing that will last in any generations we leave behind at the end of our earthly lives and in eternal life.

Christ is King of kings who's reign for now is only revealed and proclaimed through a foolish nation and people as far as the men of this world and its wisdom are concerned, but we are born of the wisdom of God revealed only to those who are in Christ. Focus your prayers on how to live wisely among the people of God's Kingdom that stand on a sea of glass more than any earthly nation like the one Solomon reigned over or that you see tossed about by the waves of the sea today. What we see is passing away.

According to scripture at the end of Revelation (chapter 21 and 22); the heavenly Jerusalem descends to earth; hence it becomes united as one and the same in essence. We have the earlier verses such as 1 Cor. 15:51 about the rapture and Resurrection occurring first; as an escape from the wrath which shall come in the Tribulation; otherwise referred to as "Jacob's Trouble". After this; we have the Millennium period when the heavenly city is suspended above earth (no doubt interacting with earth and moon's gravity). The very real physical changes of mountains being abased; valleys being exalted ( Isaiah 40:4 stated in reverse order) indicates the topographical changes due to this gravitational force; and no doubt Isaiah 66 indicates how the opening to hell will be brought forth to be observed by all which will exist in a peripheral area around the city where at that time there will be the greatest height on earth in heavenly Jerusalem once Christ lands on the Mount of Olives. Eventually; after the Millennium period there is "no more sea" according to Revelation 21:1. The elements which are said to burn up in 2 Peter 3:10-12 show the day of the Lord at it's finale. (It would seem since other verses in Peter state 1000 years are as a day that the Day of the Lord is the period between the Tribulation and the Great White Throne Judgment in its entirety).

In any event; we need to establish the right standing with God in order to enter the Kingdom; namely true faith in Christ now and the resulting indwelling of the Holy Spirit which is the sealing of the down payment as Ephesians and other verses indicate. We have in a sense already died to this world and have gone from death to life if Born Again; because the process of sanctification leads to glorification as a "done deal" ( Romans 8:28-30). There still will probably be a planet where the Heavenly City comes from that may be the whole heaven as it were. We will rule and reign with Christ on earth as well.

    Hello Stephen.

I hope that a couple of the Scriptures I share here may be of help to those in this quandry of whether to continue with treatment or not. If they are believers, hopefully they will find special grace to bear up & wisdom to know how to proceed. Often, being fully cast upon the Lord for His healing & availing of medical help can go hand-in-hand. I don't think that it's a demonstration of a lack of faith to continue with medical treatment as we trust the Lord for directing the minds & hands of our medical fraternity, and ultimately, it is the Lord Who heals, gives life or takes it away.

    Deuteronomy 31:8; Psalm 34:17-19; Psalm 55:22; Isaiah 40:31; Isaiah 41:10; Matthew 11:28; Luke 1:37; 2 Corinthians 12:9; 1 Peter 5:7.

    Hi Wilma.

I believe you are looking for Revelation 12:14. Those eagle wings is seen here in Exodus 19:4. and Isaiah 40:31.

The fact that they're carried on eagles wings there is no need for protection from any nation. Their protection always came from the Lord and always will. Psalms 121:4-5.

    God bless.

Stick with the bible and don't get caught up worrying about who, what, when , and why. especially the color of skin. The bible says to avoid discussions about genealogy. ( Titus 3:9). It also says to let God be true and every man a liar; ( Romans 3:4.) Keep your focus on the scriptures and what it teaches and nothing else. If you don't, you'll be drawn into discussions that are meaningless and have nothing to do with salvation or what's important to God.

    Isaiah 40:22

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Too many Christians spend time arguing about this topic, I find it nothing more than a distraction, the Bible also mentions the 4 corners of the earth ( Rev 7:1), but, I have yet to meet anyone who thinks the earth is square rather than understanding the Bible is referring to the 4 directions of the compass.

I did find this interesting though, the Biblical Hebrew word for "circle" (-chuwg) can also mean "round" or "sphere."

I don't have a dog in this fight so it doesn't matter to me either way, and it sure won't matter when God creates a new heaven and new earth, hope this helps.

Babs, this is because the original people to mass produce the bible were white. And yes, technically Jewish people are white. The difference is that Jews tend to have darker features/different culture and dress differently than your regular Caucasian. But we know that the scribes changed things in the bible. Many races are loudly missing from the bible. So don't focus on race. Yahweh loves us all.

    1 John 4:12

NO man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

    The Holy Spirit is SPIRIT.

Jesus's skin color at birth would look like Mary's DNA contribution.

As with anyone, people who are exposed to sun too much have darker skin, than their normal skin color.

Another verse says that no man may look upon God and live.

No offense, but I feel people spend way too much time contemplating skin colors.

I'm a life long observer of skin/hair colors. Early in life I was an artist for a time. God formed us. Our hair color is the perfect color for skin tone. When people dye their hair, it never complements the skin color. Our skin has pigments in it, like paint; but somewhat luminescent.

For me, I can't see any beauty in tattoos. Art is for canvas & other mediums. It's a pity to think we can improve on what God made.

Skin color used to be beautiful, but now it's political. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus.

Why do the writers and photographers have pictures of Jesus or others in the Bible pictured as Caucasians? As I read the Bible I read that there are Jews, Queen of Sheba was Egyptian,on and on.. No one has ever seen God and Jesus was Jewish. I really need help on this. Do you know?. Is this more important then studying the word of God..No However racism is not in the Bible.

Genesis 1:16 Just refering to God making lights in the firmament of heaven, not a word about space

1 Cor 15:14 Nothing to do with space

Genesis 2:4 Not related at all

    Psalms 115:16

16The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

"the lack of breathable atmosphere, radiation, medical complications?"

What? Scripture is not for private interpretation.

None of the rest of the verses have at all any implication of space, please point me the exact words or phrase, where the existence of space is even remotely implied. I will point you to exact words where space is outright denied, in a second.

But some of the verses you provided actually hint at the solid nature of heavens.

    Isaiah 40:

"Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?"

First of all, not a word about other planets, second "meted out heaven with the span". It's impossible to measure something with a span that is not solid.

Job 22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

Space has no height, it stretches in all directions, solid heavens have height.

Joel 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble

How something not solid can tremble?

Now I assure you, there's plenty of scripture that directly states, that the earth is flat, unmovable, and there's no space or other planets, but I would like you to debunk first this one please:

Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

    Where are the waters above?
