    John 4:

Chapter 4 shows Christ's mission field expanded to the Samaritans; specifically first to the woman at the well then the rest of the rather large group of people that came to faith. It also shows how those in His hometown wouldn't believe (v.44). Finally; we see the situation of the nobleman whose son was sick to the point of death; and the subsequent healing.

We note that Christ reached out to someone who no doubt was despised by the religious elite in nearby Jerusalem. Not only was this woman a Samaritan (in a society that mixed Judaism with paganism); but this woman clearly was now living in sin (even if her 5 husbands all died one after another and were legitimate.) The concepts of grace; and worshipping in the Spirit were readily accepted once her sin was revealed and she recognized Him as a Prophet AND Messiah. Because there wasn't such a tradition of legalism; Christ's statements of deep theological mysteries could be readily accepted; this largely contributed to the recognition of someone who clearly recognized that she was a sinner.

The reaction of the townsfolk also showed that this population was much more ripe for the harvest (v. 30-38). These verses show Christ's redirection (once again) from the importance of physical well being to that of spiritual principles; which apparently the Disciples needed a mind reset on once again. The reaction of the townspeople in v. 39-43 shows that they were thinking as Bereans as it were; searching for themselves rather than just taking someone's word for it about Christ being the Son of God.

The situation with the nobleman's son may seem to elicit a rude response from Christ in v. 48. There may be some parallel here in this with the woman who desired her daughter to be delivered from a devil ( Matt. 15:27). It also very well could have been addressed to others who were observing this for nefarious reasons. Either way He tests the faith of others.

See Isaiah 6:10. Some are blinded; others see

    Brother Steve:

    The PROPHETS, remember.

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant (Christ), whom I (the Father) uphold; mine (the Father's) elect (Christ), in whom my (the Father's) soul delighteth; I (the Father) have put my spirit upon him (Christ); HE (Christ) shall bring forth judgement to the Gentiles.

Isaiah 42:6 I the Lord (the Father) have called thee (Christ) in righteousness, and (I the Father) will hold thy (Christ's) hand, and give thee (Christ) for a covenant of the people, and a LIGHT to the GENTILES.

    Christ not PAUL.

Paul was just the instrument of CHRIST.

Isaiah had already prophecied that the Jews would reject Christ.

Christ came to the Jews first to fulfill PROPHECY.

Isaiah 6:9 And he said, Go and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not, and see ye indeed and perceive not.

Matthew 13:14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive.

    God Bless YOU.

  • Psalm 103 Meaning - In Reply on Psalms 103 - 3 years ago
David calls upon his soul and all that is in him to bless the Lord. The Lord blesses us, but how can we "bless" Him? In this context, the term "bless" means "to praise with strong affection." By calling upon his soul and all that is within him to praise the Lord, David summons his soul, mind, strength, and heart to praise Him ( Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 22:36-40).

David also gives a reason to praise the Lord: He is holy. He is completely separate from sin. When the Lord appeared to Moses in a burning bush and commissioned him to demand that Pharaoh release the Hebrews from captivity, He told Moses to remove his sandals because he was standing on holy ground ( Exodus 3:5). The ground was holy only because God was present there. Isaiah received a revelation of the Lord's holiness in the temple. He heard the seraphim pronounce, "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts" ( Isaiah 6:3). Praising the Lord for His gracious gifts to us is appropriate, but it is also appropriate to praise Him because He is holy.

Psalm 103:1-5 records David commanding his entire inner being to praise the Lord and to remember all the Lord's benefits. He credits the Lord with forgiveness of sin and healing of diseases. He says the Lord redeems the believer's life from the realm of the dead and bestows on him steadfast love, mercy, satisfaction, and renewal.

Psalm 103 praises God for what He has done. This includes celebration of His personal influence, as well as the way God has blessed the nation of Israel. David encourages praises from himself, from the people in general, and even from the angels and hosts of heaven.

    Brother Alex:

I believe both you and Suze are right.

At Christ Resurrection, David received the promise of immortal life, he has become the SEED, now he is planting SEED as is Christ.

David the SEED has no need of a PLACE called (literal) HEAVEN, man doctrine.

Isaiah 6:13 But yet in it (the land, earth) shall be a tenth, and it (the tenth, the offering to the Lord in righteousness) shall return (first resurrection), and shall be eaten: as a teil tree and as an oak, whose substance IS IN THEM, when they cast their leaves, the HOLY SEED shall be the substance thereof.

Revelation 22:2 ....and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Do we agree that the OLD SAINTS were raised with Christ, let me know if we don't, and we will look to the scriptures for the answer.

    Kay:

Isaiah has thousands of prophecies about the Kingdom of God.

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the lord sitting upon a throne (the throne is in the TEMPLE), high and lifted up, and his train (wedding dress) filled the TEMPLE.

1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man (flesh and blood) defile the TEMPLE of God (Spirit), him (flesh an blood) shall God (Spirit) DESTROY: for the TEMPLE of God is Holy, which TEMPLE ye are.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who (flesh and blood) opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God (Spirit), or that is worshipped, so that he (flesh and blood) as (a flesh and blood) God sitteth in the TEMPLE of God (Spirit), showing himself (flesh and blood) that he (as flesh and blood) is God.

1 Corinthians 15:50 ....flesh and blood CANNOT inherit the the Kingdom of God.

Flesh and blood defiles the TEMPLE of God ( 1 Corinthians 3:17), so God is going to DESTROY IT.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And when that Wicked (flesh and blood) shall be revealed (by the truth of God's Word), who the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth (word of God), and shall DESTROY (flesh and blood) with the brightness of his COMING (the new creation, CHRIST IN YOU).

Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the LAMB are the TEMPLE of it.

The word says we are God's temple; BUT, the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are TEMPLE of it (YOU).

Flesh and blood no longer exist, we are a NEW CREATION, the exactness of OUR FATHER.

The OLD HEAVEN has passed away, all things have become NEW.

    God Bless YOU!

    Page 2.

And because Jesus is holy, when He died on the cross for us, He not only forgave us our sins when we repented, He also gave us His holiness. Only the people God makes holy can be with Him. 1 Corinthians 1:30 tells us that when we are in Jesus (i.e. we belong to Him), He not only redeems us, but also makes us righteous & sanctifies us (or, makes us clean & holy people, separated from others who don't love God). That means we can stand before God and God only sees the holiness and righteousness of Jesus in us, Jesus who lives within us (by His Spirit), instead of seeing our sin. But if we do sin, we can quickly repent to God & he will forgive us and restore us as His precious holy children ( 1 John 1:9).

Here are a few verses that you can read together and discuss:

Leviticus 20:26 (God separated Israel as a holy people for Himself).

1 Samuel 2:2 (Hannah's prayer that there is no other God & nothing compared to His Holiness).

Isaiah 6:3 (the cry of praise by the seraphim (heavenly beings), who worship God continually declaring His Holiness).

Mark 1:23,24 (even the unclean spirits, as also the Devil, recognize the holiness of God & His Son).

A thoughtful child may ask, 'If I sin then don't I become unholy & God wouldn't love me anymore?' Then, you would have to talk about our sinful nature, of our propensity to sin, of repentance, of being forgiven. We aren't like God, One Who cannot sin at all - we can sin, we all sin but we must repent & hate that sin. God has made us holy by separating us from the Devil & the world & making us a part of His family. He wants us to be careful & always try to live to His Standards. If we fail Him, He won't cast us out, but wants us to say 'sorry' & enjoy being in His family to please Him in everything. I trust something here may be helpful Richard.

    These are some precious verses about heaven, ELB;

Deut. 4:39 - Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord He is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Deut. 10:14 -Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

Isaiah 66:1 - Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

1 Thes. 4:16 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Isaiah 6:1,2 - Though these verses do not say 'heaven', we've already established that heaven is God's throne, and He, and other inhabitants live there! ---

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

John 14:2 2 - In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you

The Father lives where His throne is, i.e., heaven.

Space doesn't allow me to continue with more 'heaven' verses, and there's not enough room left to look at 'hell', so I'll do a 2nd reply!

    Grace to you!

Commandments; if they were a NATURAL thing to do wouldn't need the Spirit of God to accomplish; merely our own efforts.

The meaning behind the commandments that Christ illustrates; such as that of lust and murder clearly point out the intentions of our heart as being part of what is within that produces BAD fruit in unregenerate men.

Cutting right to the chase; as Zechariah 3:3 and other verses state we have filthy garments when sin has contaminated us; and it seems clear even as believers this can happen. Our righteous deeds are as filthy rags ( Isaiah 64:6) and we need to understand that all of our love and affections also are self centered without Christ. Once we recognize our helpless state; then we can as Isaiah state "woe to me; I am undone." ( Isaiah 6:5). At that point then we can BEGIN to do the works of righteousness He has prepared for us from the foundation of the earth ( Eph. 2:10).

Then; of course we have to heed to sins not just of commission but OMISSION. And also avoiding things that are grey areas that may offend a brother or if we know to do good and don't do it is sin ( James 4:17). We can therefore; never do the law perfectly; and it must be done with the Holy Spirit within us.

Without the Spirit; even those things which are specifically warned against will; as man becomes increasingly blind be succumbed to; as wickedness increases; consciousness becomes seared even Israel was seduced to follow foreign gods warned against and they sacrificed their children to Molech; and worshipped idols. The teachers of the law became hypocrites; "sons of hell" as Jesus referred them to. And we can't follow the 1st Commandment on our own strength; or love the law as Psalm 119 the longest psalm in scripture indicates in the whole passage. Yes; as Christians if we love Him we obey His commandments.

We also TRUST God that these are what is best for us; even if as with human fathers it is not enjoyable in the short term.

    Agape.

In the Search Box on this website, I look up words to verify if they are in the King James Bible. Whatever is the written word is what I go with.

I've tried other Bibles, like the DAKES, NIV, ESV and I cannot study in them. I'm really sensitive to how the Holy Spirit leads me in a lot of things. If my spirit feels Him cringe, I repent right then. It's been like that 36 years. I'm used to His leading. I'm not able to stray off like a cat if I wanted to. His love so envelopes my being. It feels like Song of Solomon in some ways. My soul craves His presence.

I've become an alien to this world. Confusing things make me flip to WHO is the author of chaos and confusion? It's a default setting.

I see my Bible on the table and I think, Come and Taste the Goodness of the Lord.

I gave the Godhead Scriptures. One being my favorite, Isaiah 6:1-5. GiGi, I'm not delusional. I saw the Lord the day I was saved. I'm trying to get people into the kingdom. That's it. Faith has to grow. It hurts me when they get hung up on a nail by non-words. Non as in, not in the KJV Bible. Those other words are not in it. Forgive me.

I'm not a scholar. I knew at 4 yrs old, someone was with me. Maybe an Angel? I was almost killed (on the farm) many times. I remember everything. When I think how often Jesus rescued me, I am filled with aching Love for my beloved.

In this room, we should all be who God chose us to be. Believe me, he has granted strength in us that defies explanation. I really admire Chris and Alex and others with the skills I don't have. The Body of Christ. I'm feet.

I hope you are feeling stronger day to day. You are so blessed to have a mate to share things with. Children to pray for. Mothers prayers are like cruise missiles.

The word Trinity came through the Catholic religion. Triune means three.

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit are called THE GODHEAD in scripture; in the approved KING JAMES BIBLE.

There are many, many scriptures showing the Godhead working together; and speaking to each other.

Paul clears it up in ROMANS 1:

    18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who HOLD THE TRUTH in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath SHOWED IT unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD; so that they are without excuse

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

    Giannis, who is Satan?

    Everything has an OPPOSITE.

The tree of KNOWLEDGE of good and evil (opposites).

The word Of God is BUILT AROUND PARABLES, tree, or trees, is signified (represents something other than what it is in the physical).

Christ is a Lamb, TREE OF LIFE ETC.

The New Testament parables teach that we are the garden of God (Eden). Isaiah 5:7 Ezekiel 31:8

The TREE of KNOWLEDGE of good and evil exist in the midst of the garden (CHRIST is this tree, as he is also the tree of Life) In the midst of the garden.

Colossians 1:27 ..this mystery ...CHRIST IN YOU ..

We have only knowledge of evil, until Christ (the Holy Ghost) releases, or causes, us to have the mind of Christ (then we sprout and eventually become a tree, also. Isaiah 6:13 Ezekiel 47:7 Revelation 22:1-2

There is ONLY ONE SPIRIT, but the KNOWLEDGE of that ONE SPIRIT contains both good and evil.

Genesis 3:22 ....the man has BECOME LIKE ONE OF US (the man has become like God) to know good and evil....

Before man ate (the words of God), which is the TREE of KNOWLEDGE (Christ), he was the Child of SATAN (no knowledge).

You are BORN AGAIN by THE WORD'S OF GOD.

1 Peter 1:23 BEING BORN AGAIN ....by the WORD'S OF GOD ...

Now Satan (DARKNESS)(lies, deception, falsehoods) has been DESTROYED and LIGHT SHINES FORTH.

Isaiah 45:7 I FORM THE LIGHT, AND CAUSE DARKNESS: I make peace, and create evil ..

Isaiah 9:2 The people that waked in DARKNESS, have seen a GREAT LIGHT ...

    WHO IS SATAN?

1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are PERFECT (born of truth), yet not the WISDOM OF THIS WORLD, nor of THE PRINCES OF THIS WORLD (children of Satan living in lies, deception and falsehoods, children of death and the grave).

1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the PRINCES of this world knew, for had they known it, they would not have crucified the LORD OF GLORY.

Matthew 12:38 But if I (our God is a consuming FIRE) cast out devils (lies, deception, falsehoods) ...then the KINGDOM IS COME

The appearance of Deity in the Old Testament brought humbling responses. When the Lord appeared to Moses from a burning bush, Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God ( Exodus 3:1-6). When Isaiah saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, he cried out, "Woe is me! For I am lostfor my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts" ( Isaiah 6:5). When the prophet Daniel received a vision of the glorious Christ, his strength left him. He fell into deep sleep with his face to the ground. However, an angel touched him and told him not to fear ( Daniel 10:8-12).

When the apostle John saw the glorified Christ, he fell at His feet as though dead ( Revelation 1:17). However, the Lord responded by telling Him not to fear. He identified himself as He did in verse 8 as the first and the last. Because believers are united by faith to Him, who is eternal, they too have nothing to fear.

Lots of people have seen Jesus in visions. I have. He is seated at the right Hand of God, making intercession for all believers who will come to Him.

I can tell jaw dropping testimonies of Jesus's intervention but it is by the Holy Spirits unction that I do. We are His disciples and it is Jesus who deserves the praise and thanks.

We don't wait TO FEEL like praising and worshipping and honoring Jesus. He is worthy to receive it always.

I've had several close to death experiences. The 1st I recall clearly was about 5 or 6 yrs old. I was being held by gentle being, clothed in white & no pain, back to unbearable pain & suffering. I heard myself speak as an adult outside of the situation. That may have been the closest I've ever been to Heaven itself, the place. 2nd time I was electrically shocked while in water, I saw a black hand cover the sky, enormous, I could only see light through the bend of two fingers & only a portion, it was so huge. 3rd & 4th time I was young adult, it was all black around, I could feel darkness & closeness to judgement. I begged for another chance. 5th time I could hear & see the EMTs I had a different view. I was at peace not struggling, no pain. Then as they put the heart zapper thing on 3rd time I think it was. I felt difficult pain again, coldness, struggle. Luke 23:43, Luke 16:15-31, Luke 20:35-38, Psalms 91:11, Matthew 4:11, Matthew 13:39,41,49, Luke 4:10, 2Thessalonians 1:6-12, 1Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 1, Psalms 97:2, * Hebrews 2:14,15, Genesis 5:24, 2Kings 2, Matthew 17:1-5, if GOD has allowed Ezekiel, John & others in the Scriptures to see Heaven then I cannot argue they did or not. * Acts 7:55, Jeremiah 52, Revelation 7, Isaiah 6:1, Ezekiel 1, Ezekiel 10,

Matthew 24:3-51, Matthew 25:31-46, we will all give account so may our Words be faithful.

We have allowed these things thinking that it would correct it self. But it never does. We provoke the LORD because we have forgotten HIM and HIS great blessings towards us. Though we may have taken the wrong path because of the false teachings we held too, we cannot blame the false prophets. We should have known better. Reading the Bible, seeking HIS knowledge through prayer; we will be able to discern the GODLY path and the righteousness of the LORD. Help us to stand firm in the midst of this perverse generation that we have allowed to creep into our families, communities, churches, government and society in general.

LORD, help us fight the battle to win lost souls and prepare the hearts of many for the coming of the LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST.

I should not be asking the same thing in general: I should be the "man" YOU seek LORD. Isaiah 6:8 "then said I, here am I; send me."

By Knowles Shaw; inspired by Psalm 126:6

    "Going forth with weeping

    Sowing for the Master

    Though the loss sustained

    Our spirit often grieved

    When our weepings over

    He will bid us welcome

Rebecca, here is another prophecy of the TENTH or the tithe to God.

Isaiah 6:12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the land.

Isaiah 6:13 Yet in it (the land) shall be a TENTH, and it (the TENTH) shall return (with Christ), and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, an as an oak, whose (Christ) substance is in them (the TENTH), when they (the TENTH) cast their leaves: so the HOLY SEED (Christ) shall be the substance thereof.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bear twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Ezekiel 20:49 Then said I (Ezekiel),Ah Lord GOD! they(scriptures) say of me (Christ) Doth he (Christ) not speak parables?

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitudes in parables; and without a parable he spake not unto them:

In the year Uzziah died Isaiah saw the Lord in a light he had never seen Him before, seeing himself in a new brighter light, causing him to repent in a way he have never before done. Christians should desire to see Jesus in a brighter light than before also, giving them greater appreciation for the Lord than they had before.

No. There are 67scriptures with the word GOVERNOR in it. Go to the Search Box (out on the red entry page) and type: Roman Governor

[The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Godhead; you'll find that word in the Book of Romans chapter 1:20]

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD so that they are without excuse:"

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

    Hey Love of Jesus

Satan is a created being, what does he look like? Isaiah 14:12-15 morning star, translated Lucifer, the morning star/day star is the planet, Venus, it is brightest just before sunrise, 2 Corinthians 11:14 an angel of light, 1 Peter 5:8 a roaring lion, Revelation 12:3 great red dragon seven heads ten horns and seven crowns. There are many descriptions of Satan, but he is a master of disguise.

The horrific almost cartoonish description of Satan comes from the Middle Ages. If the understanding it is covering Satan, Ezekiel 28:14 says Satan was a covering cherub. There are seraphim we see in Isaiah 6:1-6 and in Revelation 4:6-9 called beasts, and cherubim, is in the bible more times, seraphim six wings, cherubim four wings. The biblical descriptions, I believe if we came face to face with, we would faint from fear.

Satan is not omnipresent; he can only be in one place at a time. There are evil spirits and evil angels he controls on this earth, we see in Daniel, battles that we cannot see, Daniel 10. The devil and his evil spirits can affect our life, and it can be vicious, Ephesians 6:12 but we far too often use that to excuse our own bad choices (the devil made me do it). Galatians 5:17

We also have been told, James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    God bless,

All these Old Testament scriptures, and the Pharisees and Sadducees did not even perceive that Jesus was the Son of God (Son of Man). He did not behave what THEY THOUGHT the son of God should look like and behave. They saw people being healed - but they thought he was possessed. Here's the Godhead scriptures.

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD so that they are without excuse:"

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

All working together. Jesus came to show us the Father, as Emmanuel.

    Matthew 1:23

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God WITH US.

This scripture in verses 9 through 11 echoes the gospels where Christ states that things were told in parables so that only those who were "as a little child" would understand (see parallel verse in Mark 4:12). This passage in Isaiah is alluding to the nation of Israel in general. Verse 11 shows a diaspora in the land; perhaps indicative of Old Testament events; but certainly also indicating AD 70 and the future dispersion in the Tribulation. There will be a final remnant as verse 13 indicates of the "holy stump" which Daniel also uses to refer to God's people in the last days who remain. If we reverse the order of this chapter and now go to verses 1 through 6; we see the real cause of the problems for those who were in Israel at that time; the lack of fear of the presence of the Lord in their lives. Daniel also offers a similar plea when he realizes the plight of the Jews in Daniel 9. The seraphim and heavenly creatures in Revelation 4:6 -8 and Ezekiel chapter 1 and other places are pictures of the same 6 winged creatures (the Cherubim have 4 wings as stated in Ezekiel 1:6; and four faces (one on each side) as demonstrated here and Revelation 4:7). Anyone having a genuine vision of the Lord would respond in a similar manner; being prostrate and totally undone. Judgments will wake up some but sadly others who are unregenerate simply will be hardened further in their rebellion against God.

    Hi Dee,

I Hope our Father will direct you to the Truth (which is His Word) and that the Spirit will draw you towards it always.

Everyone will fall into one of these two situations:

    * Isaiah 6:9-10 - i.e. They have eyes and ears but are unable to see or here because the Spirit of Truth is not in them. They are essentially satisfied as they are.

    OR

    * Luke 11:1-13 - i.e. They believe that God is reliable to His Word (that His Word is not vanity) and if they earnestly seek He will give reliable answer.

I recommend following the Luke 11 method. Your success in your search for Truth will be directly related to your faith (i.e. effort) in His Word (Which is to say, pray for Truth and understanding of His Word, and always follow that up by opening up the scriptures and studying them intensively in expectation that He is Reliable to His Word). 'Religious freeloaders' are not rewarded with anything that you will be searching for.

It's not realistic to think that you will have a reasonable grasp of the New Testament without first having a strong fundamental understanding of the Old Testament. That is not to say that you can't start by reading New Testament books, only that the foundation for understanding them much more fully will not be in place until you have a reasonable grasp of the Old Testament.

If you're intent on reading any book (with understanding), it is reasonable to start at the beginning. The Bible fits that expectation pretty well.

1 Corinthians 12:1-31 explains all the gifts, titled, administrations that God gives to the Church that Jesus has planted on earth Now.

Those that He calls, he anoints for the work. Luke 4:18. The Bible says the gifts and callings are without revocation. If we try to operate without the Holy Spirits anointing; we will not bear good fruit. Can even become apostate.

It's not something to treat carelessly. The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ. All parts of the Body are connected to Jesus.

God lives outside of time and inside of time.

Romans 1 says that if we dispute the evidence of the reality of God; we are without excuse.

I'm not debating this. It's for whomsoever Will believe God is. Can the clay say to the Potter, " what are you doing?!!

A good REFERENCE Study Bible (KJV)with a "center column reference cross scriptures" is very God for cross reading other relevant passages. It's the best.
