Jesus called himself The Son of Man.

    Acts 7:56

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

    Hebrews 2:6

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

    Revelation 1:13

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

    Revelation 14:14

And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

This is the Son of Man! How can we with our unclean lips, speak His name without bowing the knee?

It blows my brain how people do not reverence Him. Debate him. Chip away at his Deity. He is who HE said he is.

At least Isaiah 6:1-8. We see a PROPER response to the Lord of Glory.

Also, I spotted another LET US scripture in Isaiah 6:8.

    Here's a few worthy considerations:

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. ( Psalm 119:9)

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ( 1 Corinthians 6:11)

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. ( 2 Corinthians 7:1)

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. ( James 4:7-10)

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. ( 1 John 1:7-10)

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, ( Revelation 1:5)

Can you please tell me is there a such thing as a spiritual cleaning? if so what is it and how is it done
  • Rob - In Reply on Isaiah 6:10 - 5 years ago
No such thing as a rapture in word or event in the Bible, it's all false teaching !

The actual event is the coming of the Lord after Antichrist is destroyed by God on day of the lord .

They been saying this rapture will happen any day now for well over a 100 yrs , even setting dates . Run from any teachings of Hagge or the likes of him !
  • Rob - In Reply on Isaiah 6:10 - 5 years ago
    Romans ch 9 actually

    Revelation 22 v 17

And the Spirit and the bride say , Come . And let him that heareth say, Come . And let him that is athirst come . And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely !

I remember reading this many years ago and I knew I was invited . Do you hear the invitation dear reader ?
  • Pharaohs Heart Hardened - In Reply on Isaiah 6:10 - 5 years ago
God does not harden our hearts. We do it. Every time Jesus knocks on the door of your heart.... and YOU do not open to Him; your heart gets harder, and harder and harder UNTIL finally you don't even open to see who's there.

The rapture happens in an eye blink. You will miss out and be left here with danger you could not possibly imagine, calculate or endure.

No one wants to say it but I will. Our House of Representatives are mostly sold out on bringing in the system that will welcome Antichrist. Who is a smooth talking, charismatic murderer, underneath that skin.

All touchy, feely, but he's going to turn into a broad daylight monster. Don't be deceived. That's my take on it.

Be born again and learn as fast as you can.

Receive the Holy Spirit. He's your Teacher.

You don't need any man/woman to teach you; save the Holy Spirit. Problem is we have to turn off media, get quiet and listen for his Voice. Ok?

Despite media harassment and from everyone else, listen to a few recent prophetic teachings by John Hagee. He uses scripture. He's not a false prophet. Although I'm fond of Dwight Thompson who's older now; but he's still got that fire.

Iverna THOMPKINS is deceased now but ladies that feel called to prophesy (Book of Joel); listen to them on YouTube.

Get excited folks. Jesus is coming any time now. :)

Jesus said : except God the father draw a man ( person ) they can not come to him (Jesus ) .

God is sovereign and knows everything, He will not torment people if they choose to evade him . Men naturally do not want to approach the light , it reveals their sinfulness . And is terrifying without knowing that Gods mercy can be found .

God alone decides on whom he bestows His mercy . And He desires mercy before judgement, because His Love is who He is at heart . He has no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked , they just will never come to repentance . Gods way . The Bible has all the answers!

I'm just sharing what I have learned

Book of Romans in early chapters speak of this .

If people have no desire to be saved unless God puts it in them, why does he harden some lest they believe?

Marilyn, most, if not all, of revelation are symbols that represents teachings of the spirit that are hidden from our carnal eyes. Trees are symbolic of man, Jesus being symbolic as the tree of life, when we have our minds renewed, by becoming one with Christ, ( the coming of the Lord or the day of the Lord, which began at Pentecost) we also become one with the tree of life. Therefore, the tree (singular) on either side of the river is the first fruit of Christ (us). 1 Corinthians 15:20 but now is Christ risen from the dead, and is become the first fruits of them that slept. 21 for since by man came death, by man also the resurrection of the dead. 23 but every man in his (Gods) on order: Christ the first fruits; after ward they that are Christ at his coming. Isaiah 6:13 but yet in it (the land) shall be a tenth (first fruit), and it (first fruit) shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree (us), and as an oak (us), whose (Christs) substance (holy seed) is in them (first fruit), when they (first fruit) cast their (first fruit) leaves; so the holy seed (Christ) shall be the substance thereof. Romans 11:16 for if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy;and if the root be holy so are the branches. Ezekiel 47:12 and by the river (living water) upon the banks thereof, on this side and that side, shall grow all trees (of life;us) for meat (spiritual food; word of God), whose (tree of life,us) leaf shall not fade, neither shall the (first) fruit thereof be consumed (12 baskets left): it (tree of life) shall bring forth new fruit according to his (Gods) months; and the (first) fruit thereof shall be for meat (spiritual food;word of God), and the leaf thereof for medicine (healing of the nations). Matthew 12:33 the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven (spirit of God) which a woman (new Jerusalem; the mother of us all) took, and hid in three measures of meal (the meal offering to God, us), till the whole (lump) (all mankind) was leavened (by the spirit of God).

How are we to take the old testament and apply it to our lives, was it written directly to Israel if so how are we to take hold of it?

Why does a thread become locked?

Many comments are very good and reading the different perceptions/interpretations of God's word helps me to understand. Also, I find many times I never considered the scripture from that angle.

It is very difficult to look at or consider perceptions when you have never experienced it. (ie. I was born American in a free country with lots of freedom to express ideas or concepts). For me, it is difficult to understand living under a king or dictator. Also suffering and tribulations that exist around the world and in the past. I hope that statement does not offend anyone.

This site is very good and useful. Having that said, I wish they would allow you to view a particular topic/thread better. Most of the time comments are locked.

I study the Bible and the comments for edification and to progress from being a babe unto meat as the apostle Paul instructs us to.

    Lora, CONCERNING THE WORD "MYSTERY"

I agree with you, the mystery of God is complex.

I do not agree with you concerning the "mystery of godliness" as it pertains to Scripture you provided, being God Himself. I believe it concerns the Son of God being born of woman ( Isaiah 7:14). Jesus is the One spoken of in 1 Timothy 3:16 and the One promised in Genesis 3:15

I agree with you, Jesus is the way to salvation.

I, however, must disagree with you that God is Jesus and Jesus is God, and again will state that I believe Jesus never came claiming to be His Father.

Jesus came as the personification of the Words of the Father John 1:1-2); and His authority came from the Father; and He lost none of His Father's sheep ( John 17:12)

But Jesus is not the Father.

The word mystery only occurs in the New Testament.

The word "mystery" is the Greek word "musterion" and basically means a "secret."

There is more than one "mystery" spoken of in Scripture.

There is the mystery concerning the DURATION of time of the blindness of Israel ( Isaiah 6:9-10, Romans 11:25).

There is the mystery concerning the kingdom of God which was revealed in parables to the general public, but explained to the 12 Apostles; ( Matthew 13:10-11, 1 Peter 1:10-12)

There is the mystery concerning the fact that "we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed" ( John 11:25-26, 1 Corinthians 15:51, also look at Philippians 3:14, 1 Thessalonians 4:15, Hebrews 9:27)

There is the mystery of iniquity and lawlessness that is connected to MYSTERY BABYLON of Revelation 17:5-7, (look at Daniel 8:23, Daniel 12:4, Matthew 22:4, Acts 2:38, 2 Thessalonians 2:7)

There is the great mystery or secret concerning the Gentiles being co-heirs in the body of Christ, which was only revealed after the second rejection the King and the Kingdom by the Jews in Acts 28:17-31. This is the secret that was kept secret since the world began and what is being spoken of in Romans 16:25-26, Ephesians 3:1-12, and Colossians 1:24-27.

Yes Lynn, it should be "feet" in the descriptions of the Seraphims. Maybe, it was a typo that was not properly proof-read before going to print. Also, (and I know you've not asked this), be wary of translations that are not faithful to the original manuscripts. I'm not aware of the translation you mentioned, but we do know that many translations have altered words or even omitted words to suit their whims & fancies. You would be on the right path with the King James Version (translated from faithful manuscripts), though if reading it becomes difficult, then the New King James or New American Standard Bible are preferable to the others. As well, if you don't understand something you read and if you are a believer in Christ, then His Spirit will help you to understand. Also, you can write here & someone will guide you.
  • Lynn on Isaiah 6:2 - 6 years ago
    two for covering his feed,

    Ron,

According to multiple resources, including Wikipedia, and most importantly according to the internal testimony of the Bible: Isaiah was a contemporary of Amos, Hosea and Micah, and began his ministry in 740 BC., the year King Uzziah died ( Isaiah 6:1). It is estimated that it was written by Isaiah during two primary periods between 740 BC and 686 BC during his life and ministry.

To each its own...i don't just get into church i get into God...cuz its not just a structure made of wood brick or stone. It's the heart of Jesus! Ministry is not just in the 4 walls of a church...cuz we the people are the church! So we must go out to the highways and hedges and compel men to come unto God. Cuz there are lots of people who are not even a church person but they still have a heart for people and they still love God.
  • Adam - In Reply - 6 years ago
Good question. Jesus wants us to be saved- that's why he died on the cross for everyone. But people first need to open their hearts and hear the truth to believe. Some don't want to and would prefer a lie. We see this today in our divided society with half of the people preferring lies over truth. Similar verses: 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, Isaiah 6:9-10.

Hi Stanjett. I believe the 2 witnesses are Enoch and Elijah from the Old Testament since they are the only 2 people we have in God's Word who have never died yet. This is just my opinion and like yourself, I love studying the Word of God.
  • Stanjett on Isaiah 6 - 6 years ago
Here I am. Send me. As I see the last days approaching, I would not mind at all being one of the two witnesses in the last days. I would not mind at all in being killed because I know that I will be revived. But since I think they will be Jews I guess I can't. But, here I am Lord.

Isaiah’s Vision and Commission! Chapter 6:
In perhaps the most beautiful vision of his life, Isaiah saw God and experience His forgiving power. The prophet was cleansed and commissioned by God to declare to People Gods
Message: The fire(Vss. 6-7) was a symbol of the Cleansing. and lo, this has touched thy lips,
and thine iniquity is taken away: and thy sin purged: Lord do that to me!

Again; GOD is about to exercise HIS rights (during the day of Isaiah ) to will make the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, and the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. (during the day of 2018 - 20_ _ the book of Revelation tell the rest of the story. WOW! WOW! WOW!.

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. In vs5 Isaiah speaks in the fear of the Lord as he stands before the Holy altar of God the father in Heavan. realizing his own sinful heart and the hearts of the nation of Israel. He as well as they stand naked in their sin before God. God removes his sin and covers his transgressions. Isaiahs heart is transformed and he willingly volunteers

The throne is in each of us. Not until whatever I've crowned king DIES do I "see" the Lord on the throne... though, of course, I do not *perceive* from my place of uncleanness, as the Isaiah in each of us is sent to tell me.
