Thank you for your encouragement. It means so much to have the body of Christ pulling for each other. You never know when someone needs a kind word.

I was searching things in the Blank Search Box one day. I don't know why, but I typed in 'China'. The search database knows these scriptures concern Chinese interests.

They concern pandemics. There are 3. So I googled a list of all past pandemics with World death counts. It goes way back in history. Quite unsettling to read. CDC confirms it. Some pandemics were due to "swine flu". Corona virus evolves into more dangerous forms.

You'll have to Google because I'm not sure if it was this year or 2019? President Trump put sanctions on China exporting pork that is infected with swine flu. They got caught trying to smuggle in a million pounds of infected pork in January.

Corrupt business buys their cheap meat and sells it to Americans; then China pays high prices to the US to have non-infected meat imported there. I hope Trump stopped the entire process? Ignorance is bliss. I don't want to think about it. I hope Jesus will return soon.

We take so many things for granted. That everything is safe that we put in our grand babies mouths. I've got everyone praying over food at my place. We've got to be wise and also be full of faith. Trust in God implicitly. Do the do's, and stop doing the don'ts.

I just heard (no joking) the Holy Spirit singing "I walk The Line" by Johnny Cash.

So I jet over to YouTube to have a singalong. There was a comment "is anyone else up at 2am listening to Johnny sing?" (during the co-vid crisis?). Many comments by Christians! It's so cool. John wrote that song to God!

I can't wait to get to Heaven!!!

Sinning is so hopeless when you compare it to eternity with all, and who is in heaven. Why would you want to miss out?

USING THE WEBSITE COMMENTARY to understand hard sayings

You need to learn how to use the Search Box for this website. It's there when you first come in. Use the blank one if you're searching a word, or a phrase. Put your scripture: chapter and verse in. Hit the arrow.

You'll see the chapter appear with your verse highlighted yellow.

Scroll down some till you see the Commentary Box. Click that.

You'll see a commentary on what your scripture means; or it may define all the sayings in the chapter.

You see what the Bible is saying. There's quite a long commentary on your verse.

It's helpful to see what the commentary says about hard sayings.
  • People With Hardened Hearts Against the Gospel - In Reply on Isaiah 9:10 - 5 years ago
Ephesians 4:18 - Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Matthew 13:14-15 - And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall NOT PERCEIVE.

Proverbs 28:13-14 - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them, shall have mercy.

Hebrews 3:8 - Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Mark 8:17 - And when Jesus knew [it], he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Exodus 9:12 - And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

Exodus 7:3 - And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

John 12:48 - He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Mishael : It takes Spiritual Warfare to free a person to hear Gods Word. See sermons on YouTube, about that. See Ephesians 6. Don't let the devil scare you. He knows Jesus stripped him of his authority to steal souls. Watch some Charles Capps videos too so you will understand your authority through the Blood of Jesus.

  • Praying to the Lord of the Harvest - In Reply on Isaiah 9:10 - 5 years ago
While the Holy Spirit is still here, we should pray often to the Lord of the Harvest; to send workers into the Harvest. Jesus got off alone frequently to pray alone. That's where you receive your power: on your knees.

Don't leave home without it. In street ministry it's very hard to spend time talking to someone if the Holy Spirit has not been drawing that person to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. He can arrange a Divine appointment; but we are the feet, the hands, the compassion who participates in that appointment.

Prayer and intercession are necessary. A life is being touched by our Savior. He prays 24/7, all over the world, every day.

If you hit a goat on its head, it will try to head butt you back. I think the woman who went to the well to draw water is a good example of witnessing. The Holy Spirit had given a word of knowledge about that woman's life. Because of her joy, her whole village got saved too! And... they were Gentiles!

Jesus is a perfect example of how prayer and partnering with the Holy Spirit, bears abundant harvest. I set myself to learn HOW does Jesus win the lost, so successfully? And this is what works.

The Word Of God Clearly Tells That In The Last Days I will Pour Out My Spirit On All Flesh.

To Reach The People Whose Mind Are Seared And Unable To Receive The Word Of The Lord And His Plan Of Salvation. The Only Hope Is For This Outpouring To Restore Their Minds To Receive The Lord.

The Word Of God Clearly Tells Us That No Man Knows The Day Or Hour But My Father Which Is In Heaven

Our Job Is To Be About My Fathers Business.

We Must Work To Win The Lost

We Have To BE Baptised In The Holy Spirit To Receive The Power We Need In The Last Days.

We Cant Have A Form Of Godliness But Denying The Power Thereof.

We Can Not Rely On Signs And Wonders.

Even In America God Has A Remnant .

Psalms 91 Clearly Tells Us That God Will Keep And Provide For His People.

Greg, the mystery of God can seem to be so complex if it was never taught you. First read Isaiah 9:6 for the prophecy then read 1Timothy 3:16. Paul or Saul at the time, was crucifying Christians because he thought their teaching and worshiping of Jesus as God was heresy. Saul KNEW the scriptures and that there was only one God so he was zealous in trying to (what he thought) wipe out this Jesus movement. When God struck Saul down on the Damascus road and blinded him and Saul cried out to the Lord/God asking Him who He was, God told him He was Jesus. Jesus is the name above every name,Acts4:12. When Jesus was crucified He took on all the sins of the world and God's spirit had to leave his body hence Jesus crying, Father, why hast thou forsaken me? I hope I helped you a little bit. This is why we need to be filled with the HOLY GHOST so we can read and understand with the spirit. What must we do to be saved? Acts 2:38, repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin and thou shalt be filled with the HOLY Ghost.
  • Mishael on Messiah - In Reply on Revelation 4 - 6 years ago
    Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Psalms 22:16-18 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:5-7 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

    Isaiah 11:2-9 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, [though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

John 4:25-26 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Messiah came. On the day he was crucified, well over 100 prophesies about him had bee fulfilled. You compare those prophesies with the recorded historical account of that time.

There was a fullblood Indian mother that had never been to church or heard the word of God. Her son was born again, repented, believed on Jesus, he told her about Jesus and how she could be saved, that she should repent and believe, she asked her son can he (JESUS) understand my Cherokee language? He said yes mom he understands and she was saved and believed on Jesus. --- in the early 1920's - 30

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

I just read your comment. God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world and received into glory. God did this all by Himself. God was manifest( made visible in the flesh of Jesus Christ). He is the Father of creation, the Son ( his flesh) in redemption; and the Holy Ghost in the church. The idea of a triune Godhead is not found in the Bible. Read Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 43:10-13; St. John 1:1-14; St. John 17:6; St. John 8:21-24; St. John 14:9-10; Luke 24:44; Colossians 1: 13-16; Hebrew 1:1-4; I John 1:1-3; Revelation 1:13-20; Revelation chapter 5. These are only a few of the scripture that validate the Oneness of God. God has many names and many attributes. He appeared in many theophanic forms in the Bible. But His greatest revelation to man was as the Man Christ Jesus. Jesus is His Saving Name. Jesus is God. God is Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation, there has only been one God, One Spirit, and One Savior. Ephesians 4:4-5 tells us that there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. One God and Father of all...God does not have three personalities in His head. God is our savior; and He loved us so much that He was willing to die for us and rise again for our salvation. What an awesome God that we serve!

To really know who Christ is, is to look inside His own Word: John 1, John 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:16, John 14:7-9, Hebrew 1:8, 1 John 5:7,20, isaiah 9:5-6. These are just e few of the many verses in the Bible that describes His greatness.

Because of the vicious cycle of disobedience and turning from God we find ourselves repeating the same test over and over again but when sin and Satan is done away with we no loner will have these issues. A son is born that will not only redeem us but will also set up a perfect government and we will be at peace forever! Hallelujah always and eternality.
  • Ashanda on Isaiah 9 - 7 years ago
Vs 21 -- Ephraim and Manasseh are both of Israel and both will work against Judah....Which explains when Christ said a man's enemies will be those of his own household. Judah is encamped on all sides, by enemies AND so called family and friends (who made themselves also to be enemies)...The remnant of GOD, surely identify in the sufferings of Christ because He suffered the same thing (betrayal)

Verse9: The scripture talks of a ruler from the roots of David who will rule for ever. In his kingdom there will be peace, righteousness and justice for ever and ever. The present day Jews teach that messiah the king will be ruling physically upon the throne of David. If physical then how can it be eternal. Only Jesus is qualified for fulfilment of this prophecy,He lives for evermore to govern.

John 1:18 Says that no man has seen God only the Son. This seems to state that not even Moses saw God. Moses may have been speaking to Jesus The Word mediator, the real voice of Jehovah . He is the only begotten Son of God. And according to John 1:3 He Jesus created all things. Isaiah 9:6 Jesus is the everlasting Father. Only Jesus Christ and Jehovah Holly Spirit the share the same essence.

"The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones..For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. For the people turns not unto him that smites them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts." How many times have we seen someone facing the grave proclaiming, Never surrender! They pride themselves in stubbornness and will die unprepared to meet the LORD.

The "Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are merely TITLES for JESUS CHRIST. The COMMAND is to baptize in the NAME of the Father Son and Holy Ghost and that NAME is JESUS CHRIST. There is ONE GOD who manifests Himself as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and His NAME is JESUS CHRIST. Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, and his name shall be called...The mighty God, The everlasting Father."

Gal 3:16, I love how the word of God is very specific he saith not to thy seeds as many but to thy seed which is one which is Christ. Just like Matthew 28:19 baptizing them in the name, he saith not names as many but name which is one which is Jesus Christ. Isaiah 9:6 the Sons name shall be called Counsellor which is the Holy Ghost, everlasting Father the fulfillment of Matt28:19. Praise the Holy1
