John 1:1 In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and and the word was GOd.
John 1:14 The word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
If God is the word and dwelt among us then who is GOd? Jesus would be the flesh.
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
He is the Father, Son and God.
Rev 1:8 and 11 Iam the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending, and whish was, which is to come , the Almighty.
11:Saying I am the first and last: etc.......
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the Lord King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the lasts and besides Me there is no other GOd.
Only one GOd and He was made flesh and He is the first and Last. Jesus spoke it in Revelation that He was Fist and last.
Only one God, Isaiah speaks of One God and in John 5:7 the three are ONE. The reason Jesus is praying to the father is that He was also flesh and the flesh was not Glorified yet. Yet Jesus did not sin because He couldn't because He was GOd.
This is why Peter can say in Acts what name to be baptized by. Peter knew Jesus as God and His name is above all names.
Thanks God bless you all for these wonderful provision.
Abraham prayed to Jesus as God. Abraham believed Jesus, and Jesus declared his righteous. Isaac prayed to jesus, too. Jacob saw Jesus when he was running from Esau and said, "Surely the Lord (Jesus) is in this place."
Moses knew Jesus as the "I AM." The Jews prayed to Jesus as YHWH, or Lord GOd. So Jesus is referring to Himself as OUR FATHER in the Lord's Prayer. This means we must pray to Jesus, too. Paul said in Roman's 10 that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord, meaning Jesus, shall be saved. How can you call upon Jesus if you don't direct your prayers to him.
Steven prayed this way, So did Paul. Think about the disciples. How improper it would have been for them to try to go around Jesus and plead to the Father, when Jesus said they did not even know him.
But now that we know there is a Father, we can pray to him, but only in the sense that Jesus wants us to know his love, too. But we must keep in mind that we must never use the Father in an attempt tp byp*** Jesus. Such prayers will not be answered. Yes, you may get an answer, but it won't be from God.
John 5:31 and John 8:18 do not contradict each other. In 5:31, Jesus is saying that, according to Jewish law, a single witness (in this case, Himself) is insufficient to establish truth (see Numbers 35:30, and especially Deuteronomy 19:15; also 2 Corinthians 13:1). In 8:18, He states that not only He, but the Father also, bears witness of Him. Thus, his witness (which agrees with that of the Father) is TRUE.
Thank you so much, that explains so much better, I always believed Jesus was a true messenger of God Almighty, He always testified of the Father that sent him not himself,
To see John 5,30 "I can of mine own self do nothing"
As NOT a quality of God, For we do know God can do all things of his own self, his own power.
It also explains that Jesus was NOT GOD and that he could of himself do nothing.
The authority that Jesus has was given unto him by his Father, God.
There is a hierarchy of authority
1Corinth 11, 3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Thanks again
This is not a Quality of God. Jesus Christ (PBUH) was a True Messenger of God almighty.
a) The Old Covenant Handwrittenin Letter stretches from Genesis to Revelation.
b) The Old Covenant Bible is the Bible handwritten in Letter and if ministered in carnal human knowledge(s) kills souls.
c) The New Covenant Bible is also handwritten in Letter from Genesis to Revelation, One must be enabled by God to Read it in His knowledge and wisdom.
d) One's Soul must be resurrected from the Old Covenant Bible that kills Souls to the New Covenant Bible in order to be given eternal life.
e) The Old Covenant Bible teaches historical earthly visible to human eyes things which are copies/shadows of the invisible to the human physical eye heavenly things but can be revealed to the mind by the New Covenant Bible. Heb 10:1-9.
The Bible handwritten in black and white, in letter from Gen-Rev whenever is READ, INTERPRETED and TAUGHT in human limited knowledge of flesh using EARTHLY VISIBLE THINGS which are COPIES and SHADOWS of HEAVENLY INVISIBLE THINGS TO THIS DAY 2013 is REVEALED to be the OLD COVENANT BIBLE that condemns and kills souls, and HIDES HEAVENLY INVISIBLE THINGS FROM CARNAL KNOWLEDGE SOULS. 2 Corinth 3:5-6, Gal 4:21-24,25-28, 1 John 5:7-8,
The Old Covenant Bible which is READ until this day is from the Book of Genesis to the end of the Book of Revelation. Heb 10:1-9,
But it is are lamp to see God's will.... And when we desire a close relationship with God; we will start to pray, more than what we already do; We'll start to Scarface more of our time, and even our bodies: denying ourselves food for days; replacing our indulgence of food, with praise and worship to God, for the hole time that we fast. .... For through observation we see that God requires a sacrifice; one out of many, and most important examples is Jesus Christ, but the Bible says in 1 Samuel 15:22,that, "Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold,TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE, and to hearken than the fat of rams". .....
So the law is like a mirror; showing us, how close or how far we are from God, cause the closer we are to God: the more in-line we will be with the Law. ... And to back up that quote is the scripture 1 John 5:13, and it says, "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments". .... So the more we Love God, the more righteous we will become through his ***istance; not by our works of the Law; but through are level of relationship with him.
John 5,31
If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
John 8,18
I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
In both scriptures Jesus is speaking, They are written by the same writer, I don't understand, I thought the Bible was infallible,
What is the truth? Does Jesus bear witness of himself or not?
Sin is NOT referring to our physical failings.
Instead, it's transgression of the law, 1John 3:4.
But we're NOT under the law, Rom 8:2, Rom 10:4, Gal 5:18. Hence believers CANNOT be charged with this sin.
Sin is unrighteousness, 1John 5:17.
But a believer's faith is counted for righteousness, Rom 4:5. Hence we CANNOT be charged with this sin.
Sin is unbelief in Jesus, John 16:9.
Believers CANNOT be charged with this sin.
So, as believers, we CANNOT sin.
CONFIDENCE
1 John 5:14-15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
How many of us lack confidence when we pray? We pray out of duty with very little anticipation of anything really changing or happening. Does this sound like your prayer life?
God really desires to answer our prayers and to give us the things that we are often in need of, but so often we sense that God is far from us and doesn't really care what is going on in our lives. I believe God really does care for us and desires to answer our prayers in a way that brings glory and honor unto His name.
- Do you enjoy spiritual fellowship with God, with Christ, and fellow believers ( 1 John 1:3, 4). Neglect not assembly.
- What is your attitude toward the world and its values ( 1 John 2:15). Love not the world.
- Are you obedient to the commandments of the scriptures ( 1 John 2:3-5).
- We know him because we keep his commandments.
- Do you have the ability to discern between spiritual truth and error ( 1 John 4:1-6).
- Do you live sinless now since you have professed faith in Christ ( 1 John 3:5, 6).
- Do you fall to temptation ( 1 John 1:5-10).
- Do you believe the basic doctrines of the faith (1 John 5:1). God so love the world. Have you experienced persecution for your Christian faith ( John 15:18-20). They hated Jesus.
- Do you love other believers ( 1 John 3:14). He that loves not knows not God.
- Do you have the inner witness of the Holy Spirit ( 1 John 4:13). Our spirit bears record with his spirit.
- Have you experienced answered prayers ( 1 John 3:22).
- Do you love Jesus and look forward to His coming ( 1 John 3:2, 3).
My comment is that most people who make comments regarding the scriptures do not take the bible seriously, have not learned how to study the scriptures( 2 Timothy 2:15), are not much interested in putting the scriptures into practice in their personal life. America is and will continue to suffer at the hand of God because we have become morally and spiritually bankrupt, because we have become bible ignorant. Mainly because we have turned ourselves over to liberal pastors and liberal churches who preach and teach liberal and ignorant theology. What do you say bout that?
You say: “…gentiles were excluded from Moses covenant until the cross … The four gospels should be part of the Old Testament.” Let’s “zoom out” of Ephesians 2, and take a look at the whole Bible from “an eagle’s eye view”. The plan of salvation did not begin with the Jews; it was conceived before the foundation of the world 1 Peter 1:19. First, it was revealed to Adam and Eve after the fall Genesis 3:15. Then Enoch, Noah and Job preached it. Melchizedek, serving as the priest of the Most High preached it. And finally it was promised to Abraham, in whose seed all the nations would be blessed. The plan of salvation has different stages: It began in the Garden of Eden, continued until the Flood, then after the Flood with Noah and his family until Abraham. The Jewish Nation followed. God’s prophets continued to preach until Christ came, and He continued to preach “the Kingdom of God” until His ascension. After that, the Apostles followed including Paul. The plan of salvation included the whole world from the beginning. Though the shortest, the “Jewish period” period was the most important. But The Gospel of the Kingdom of God was the same from the beginning to “the end”, having at the center Jesus Christ, The Savior of the world. This is what Jesus was trying to explain to His people, when they wanted to kill Him: “Search the scriptures (the Old Testament); for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me” John 5:39. On the road to Emmaus, “beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself” Luke 24: 27. Conclusion: You can’t separate The Old from The New Testament. It is just one message, one plan of salvation, one Christ.
Matthew 28:19 speaks clearly of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. However if you read this carefully, you will see that Three have just one name. It says "baptizing them into the name (not names) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit". There are three with one name. This is the Triune God. In the Father we have seen unseen God. In the Son is God revealed, made manifest, and brought nigh; He is the form of God. In the Spirit of God we have the indwelling God. Undoubtedly the Father is God in various places in New Testament speaks of God the Father. The Son is also God Hebrews 1:8. The Spirit is God Acts 5:3,4. Isaiah 9:6 has the term Everlasting Father. Oneness and Trinity doctrine does not belong to Roman Catholics. It is the fundamental truth of the Holy Scriptures. Praise The Lord.
If you are truly born again then there is no way you can commit unpardonable, because both are mutually exclusive.
“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not” I John 5:18. The sin that it is about here is the unpardonable. Just as its name says, unpardonable sin cannot be forgiven.
So all sin that can be forgiven is not unpardonable.
Believe me, you never committed that kind of sin.
Because as born again Christians, you and I are fortunate that through the blood of Christ, we have been excluded from committing unpardonable sin.
God bless you.
