Born again with the fire of Gods Spirit and Word. Now, Jesus teaches daily, his Word my parchment of life and wisdom. Dumbfounded I go healed, saved in his grace, wanting to tell all. Few may hear or see quickly, for it took decades searching and wallowing in the mire for me to find. My eyes now see, and soul more, to live with Jesus. Thank you Jesus and God, bringing this fire for those who see.

Charles: Let there be Light. This is The Light that came into The World and in the hearts of Believers @Salvation. The Light is Called Day. The darkness is called Night. The Lord said He must do The Work while it's Day: John 9:4. We are to take this Light the world. We are The only Light The World will See. This Light is not visible to the Eye. The World was revolving before day 4.

"..Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?" How many strange ideas people will follow instead of acknowledging the truth as it is written in the Scriptures! As Christians we may have it hard to think in terms of luck; but we are in a hostile and ruined world filled with many hazards and adversaries; and its not always to be judged as one being better or worse than.

"And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?" While many think that these are hard things to understand, how evil happens especially hard to some, yet it shows a great ignorance of the ruined state of the world and a gross underestimating of one's own sins. But the reason we all are born, even in this condition, is that we be saved!
  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly - 9 years ago
God and Father of Jesus does not hear the prayer of sinners. John 9:31] Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly on John 3 - 9 years ago
David: if we are all sinners then Jesus is coming back for nobody then. My bible says in 1st John 3:8 "he that commith sin is of the devil.." Jesus told people in John 5:19 "Sin no more." Jesus came and died so we can be free and clear from all sin. I am an ex-sinner saved by grace Romans 6:18. My bible in John 9:31 tells me God don't hear the prayer of sinners. All sinners will burn Rev 21:8.

Psalms 18:28 tell us that the world and all around us is in darkness. Indeed, the world is so dark. We live in it. As such, we do know that the world is in darkness. But, why is it so? It is both ungodly and unrighteous. The foe has made it so. And, all who live in the world are in darkness, too. Why? All have sinned. And, in doing so, all have come short of the glory of the Lord. Rom. 3:23 So, if the Light does not shine in the darkness of this world, then none can see the glory of God. And, all will fall and perish. But, the Lord is the true Light of the world. John 9:5 And, if one asks the Lord for His light, then the Lord will gladly shine the light for her or him. The darkness will go away when the Light shines on it. No one will fall or perish when the Light shines on her him. Yes, one can to see, walk, or work when darkness is out. May the Light of the world ever shine for and on us. Amen.

Hello Peter; It is interesting, and something to wonder about, that men are able to be indifferent to and deflect the spiritual and the truth working right in their midst! "...for flesh and blood has not not revealed it to you, but my Father in heaven." So the LORD is righteous who takes vengeance on the wickedness of men, because He KNOWS what we really are inwardly, and all have a conscience!
  • Peter A. Okebukola on John 9 - 9 years ago
Very interesting encounter with the blind man and the members of his community. In spite of all the miracles, many could not still see that Jesus is incarnate God. This is another prophecy fulfilled that His people will know Him not ( Jeremiah 3: 20). Also see John 1: 11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

April- The very definition of God's grace is UNmerited favor... No matter how broken and sorry one could be, only believing Christ took one's place (God seeing Christ's past instead of one's own; Christ's righteousness instead of one's own works) brings salvation! Praise God :) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift [no work can add] of God:"Eph

Jacoba - You are both right in your teaching. There are many reasons why God does a lot of things and He does it all for His own glory whether out of compassion or to show His power or for our good etc. Let's add John 9:1-3 to the discussion. This is e-home cell we have online I enjoy the contributions. Let's continue to glean through scriptures to build ourselves up in all humility.

I think of Amazing grace when I read this chapter, and it makes me wonder,if we say now we see, could we actually be blind?, for it takes every day commitment and understanding, to be sinless,I really dont know of one person in exsistence that is PERFECT, so Thank YESHUA for having grace and patience,I try and ask to help me be humble, and thank him for all I have in my life,I'm nothing without him

Dave: The blind man went to the pool to wash he was blind he didn't see Jesus. Read verse 6-7
  • Irene123 on John 9 - 9 years ago
David - not everyone learns at the same speed. God knows this for He created us. Jesus sought this man out because He knew this of him and also KNEW he would - believe - given just one more sentence of teaching.
  • Irene123 on John 9 - 9 years ago
V.7 is a prophesy of Acts2:38. When we are washed in the pool (baptistery, by immersion, (using the NAME of Jesus) and receive the Holy Ghost, the Spirit (Holy Ghost) then opens our eyes to the truth of His Word.

David; I think what is more interesting, is how there always seems to be some little rats sneaking around, that have to run and tell the Pharisees what Jesus is doing. This man that was healed is like so many we see today, who are smart and honest and thoughtful; and for no known reason, are brought to have to prove it to grouchy hateful and hostile hypocrites! Whatever he says they don't believe.
  • David on John 9 - 9 years ago
I am challenged by the once born-blind man testified about Jesus Christ before the Pharisees in verse 27. However, I am also surprised to see him not yet recognizing the Person of Jesus in verse 36 whom he had testified of. That suggest to me that despite Christ's amazing works in our lives, we sometimes still deny knowing him.

To Melissa Baugh - The story of blind Bartemaeus is in Mk.10:52. This blind man's name in Jn.9 isn't mentioned. The reason more isn't said of 'Bart' is - the Bible is GOD's word, not man's, and God reveals what He wants to.

I enjoyed it , seeing how my Lord Jesus Christ and worked miracles Glory to The Lord Jesus Christ hallelujah ! If more people gave Thier life fully to Christ people will much better off. Acts 2:38 ( baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the holy ghost ). Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me.

  • MSB on John 9 - 9 years ago
This is a true evidence of today's society. We are healed or we've been blessed through God and his powers. Yet, we are ashamed to admit to others who may not believe in God. If God does a miracle in our lives, let it be known. It says in the scriptures...If you disown Jesus/God on earth...Then he shall disown you in heaven. The blind man was healed and he let everyone whom asked of him. Amen

YES JESUS LOVE ME! I KNOW THAT MY SAVIOR LIVES AND HE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. WHEN I WAS OUT IN THE WORLD THE LORD CAME AND BROUGHT ME UNTIL HIMSELF. I LOVE THE LORD HE HEARD MY CRY!
  • BSP on John 9 - 9 years ago
The blind man that was healed by Jesus was stating the truth that he had experienced. He was not concerned about pleasing the people around him or about their opinions so much that he was willing to compromise the truth. We do well to follow his example.

when you have been touched by the Lord, you going to tell somebody because you going to feel like shouting it from the roof top. I know a man and his name is Jesus and he has set me free. Bless the name of the Lord for He is good.
