Divine purpose s ,this was not luck So to speak. The falling of the lot,I believe, that it was divine. This was not accidental. It was God.When ever that time comes, it is.You can substitute, unless the need for substation is evident. God bless.

Verse 35, Perhaps the conceived child is called a "holy thing " because he is an individual that is unlike any other. His power and glory can not be defined, described or completely understood. No one knows or can define the absolute wisdom of the Divine Mind. Man is less than God in all ways yet this human child will be given the power, glory and wisdom of God. There is no way to define the undefinable. The scope of this union of God and mankind so immense the conceived child is called a "holy thing ". The Spirit of God dwells in Jesus and he is made perfect. The abiding consciousness of spiritual peace in everlasting life is born. "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. " - Col.3v15

Everything is possible with Christ as God is so faithful to his promises. We must keep God 's commandments and listens to his word as our heavenly manna that we need to be feed. From his word we will have life, peace, joy and our spirit is connected with the Holy Spirit which this is the way that our Spirit our Reborn by inviting the Holy Spirit, we are saved unless our spirit is reborn. Jesus loves you and fix your eyes to Jesus

Sherry, when the Scriptures start getting difficult to understand, stop and talk with the Father in the name of Jesus asking for His help via the Holy Spirit to help you find other parts of the Scripture that will explain the parts that you are having a hard time understanding. God will help!

This chapter is part of what I 've been studying in regard to the birth of Jesus as it relates to the birth of John the Baptist. There is apparently 6 months difference as to the times of their birth with John having been born first. Some of my other searches have told me John was born in the spring. I know Jesus was crucified in the spring, which was when He was 33-1 2 yrs old I believe. Can anyone help me understand the time-line here?

  • Motdaugrnds on Matthew 2 - 11 years ago
The actual time of Jesus ' birth can be found in Luke 1:5 thru 2:8 where Zacharias was spoken to about a son he and Elizabeth were to have and call "John ". Zacharias ' service times, his return home and the birth of John are made clear with John being born in the spring. Since Jesus ' mother, Mary, conceived in the 6th month of Elizabeth 's pregnancy, it leaves little doubt Jesus was born in the early fall. I know December 25th is when many enjoy giving and celebrating the birth of Christ however, Christmas is actually a pagan holiday having nothing to do with Jesus ' birth.

Luke was an eye witness of the life and work of our Lord Jesus. He writes what he himself witnessed of Him. His words are to be received and believed. After Mary had conceived by the Holy Ghost she visited Elizabeth. John, in his mother 's womb, recognized the Messiah and leapt in his mother 's womb. She then was filled with the Holy Ghost and recognized that Mary was carrying the Messiah and praised Him. What a Mighty God we serve! Praise Him, Praise Him.

John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother 's womb Luke 1:15. No tongues.Jesus had the Holy Ghost without measure Jn 3:34 and didn 't speak in tongues. Jesus never spoke in tongues although He knows all things Jn 21:17. The apostles had John 's baptism and were never baptized according to Acts 2:38 and straight to Heaven they went. Jesus didn 't baptize Jn 4:2. Thats strange if water baptism saves. Are all apostles? No. are all prophets? No. are all teachers? No. are all workers of miracles? No. Have all the gifts of healing? No. do all speak with tongues? No. Covet the best gifts. Charity is the best gift. This modern generation is so concerned with gifts and not the fruit of the Spirit. Children are concerned with gifts and their own edification 1 Cor 3:1-3. Give one reference where tongues are commanded.

God is not a respecter of people, what he makes happen for one he makes happen for another. As we believe and apply God 's word in any area of concern in our life, that concern become a testimony. This is the performance, this is our believe, this is our faith and the assurance we have in our GOD.

Yes Josephine, it is a great book. Jesus ' birth was divinely conceived and so was John 's. I have been able to find many other divinely conceived births in other secular and religious myths some of which pre date the Christian one. Just Google for it there 's lots to discover.
