You stated, "the apostles had not been told the Gospel will also be given to the Gentiles, the time had not come. There were another 3.5 years after Jesus's ministry before the apostles were told the gospel of Christ will be given to the Greeks/Gentiles.
I agree with Gigi, The Apostles were told to go out to preach the gospel to the whole world and I believe the old economy "if that's the correct term to use" ended at the crucifixion when the veil was rent from top to bottom.
The timing of the beginning and ending of what God ordained in the old and in the new covenant was totally of God, "Not according to man's response to it"
The OT scripture said salvation would go out to the Gentiles by the seed which shall come. some expected it in the New Testament as seen in Luke 2:30-32. For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people. A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
Also.
Jesus said in John 2:19-22 he would tare the temple down and build it again in 3 days.
That was the end of temporary temple that only served as a shadow of what was to come. Hebrews 9:6-11.
When he rose from the grave, he went to the disciples and see here what he said in Luke 24:42-48.
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And ye are witnesses of these things!
Concerning the veil being rent from top to bottom.
Here is what was accomplished at the death and resurrection of our Lord.
Here in Hebrews 6:17-20 we see Jesus as our "forerunner" and High Priest.
We have been once and for all cleansed and can now enter therein with a clear conscience. See Hebrews 9:8-26.
Also.
Hebrews 10:8-22.
The veil being rent signifies the end of the old covenant and the resurrection ushered in the new covenant.
The commission came right afterwards. Luke 24:42-49. and Matthew 28:19-20.
Thanks, I agree they were told that but we see it was after Stephen's death and the priests along with Saul/Paul put in prison, beat, killed, and drove out the believers in Jesus, the apostles stayed in Jerusalem. The ones Philip shared the word within Samaria must have been Jewish because the apostles did not have a problem with it because Peter and John went and prayed for them to receive the Holy Ghost, Acts 8:14-17
When Peter had his dream, it was a clear vision that God showed him the time had come for the gospel to go to the Gentiles, Acts 10. But when he told the apostles and brethren when he went to Cornelius the centurion and preached to the Gentiles, they had a big problem with it and they rebuked Peter for doing this, Acts 11, and in Acts 11:19 the ones who were persecuted and driven out were preaching the word to the Jews only.
To me, it looks the same as when Jesus told them how He was going to die and be resurrected but it was hidden from them, Luke 9:45, and we see they were devastated after He was crucified and did not believe He rose from the dead, Luke 24:10-11. It was God's perfect timing when this would happen, fulfilling prophecy and a promise.
The questions I posted and the scripture after them were in my understanding were answering the questions, sorry if that did not make sense or if they do not answer them for you.
Was Jesus baptized with the Spirit during His water baptism or before? It was not before it was after Jesus was water baptized and come up from the water He was then anointed with the Holy Spirit.
Luke 4:1 Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit led, meaning to lead, bring, carry so the Spirit led or carried Jesus to the wilderness. It may be similar to when Philip was whisk away, Acts 8:39
John 3:34 "for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him" Measure means limited so Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit with no limits like what we see in 1 Cor. 12 the diversities of gifts no one received them all, with Jesus there was no limit to the power of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:32-33 My understanding is this part of Peter's explanation of what people were seeing. Jesus made the promise that when He went back to the Father He would ask the Father to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit to them, Luke 24:49John 14:26Acts 1:4-8. They were seeing God's answer to Jesus's request to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit. I hope that makes sense.
The Father could not send the Holy Ghost/Spirit until Jesus was glorified John 7:39 and that was after He was resurrected, Jesus did not need the Holy Ghost/Spirit after He received His glorified body. When the Holy Ghost/Spirit left Jesus and went back to God in heaven if it was at Jesus's death or when, I do not know.
I hope this all made sense thank you for your reply.
Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Revelation 22:18,19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
These are just a sampling of the many verses that speak about the scriptures, the Bible, the Word of God. They should be examined both in their immediate context and the context of the entire Bible if we are to come to Truth regarding the true nature of the Bible.
Hello everyone, Had an interesting question asked at our men's Bible group. " Our we sinners because we sin, or do we sin because where're sinners". Would like to hear your comments based from the Bible . Thank you
MountHoreb Response to Leoj:
When reading the bible, A Sinner is someone who has a leaning or urge to go against the will of Jehovah God ( Psalm 83:18)
God Saids one thing; a Sinner is inclined to go the other way. we have an example at Genesis 3
Point: Romans 5:12-15
There is Hope: John 3:16,17; 1 Timothy 1:8-10; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; John 17:3
Jehovah ( psalm 83:18) is not looking for perfection. he is like a father and we are like his Children prone to mistakes.
our father is looking for us to tell him the truth, to be humble, to cry to him and repent especially if it's something that
is to difficult to handle on our own. as sinners we need the spirit of God in order to have self-control in all things. This is why Jesus said what he said at Matthew 6:9-12; 1 Peter 5:6-11
Dear "John ray" Don't think about the text. In fact, we all should be careful and not say too much.
We are comforted by Jesus Christ in all things. You are loved by the Lord, for I am constantly reminded of you in my prayers.
Remember that you are valuable, it is easy to forget it. At least when we are out among non-believers. We can even be harmed by it. But never to death. My advice is that you take up on u the full armor of God on a daily basis. Ephesians 6 chapter. Never be discouraged, many depend on you.
God cares for you, He wants you to see it. And that you know it. We pray, I love u in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah God is good always.
When they were water baptised it was just a sign that there was a greater baptism coming...which is baptism of the H.G...thats y Jesus told them if i wash thee not you will have no part with me....He tells his own disciples that had been water baptised if i wash thee not you will have no with me...The water that i shall give them shall be a well of water springing up unto everlasting life...Thats H.G. BAPTISM...The only baptism of PROMISE....Water baptism was neva refered to as the baptism of Promise.... Luke 24:49 Jesus said behold i send the Promise of my father upon you...Which is the baptism of PROMISE...The seed of Promise was the living word that multiplies Christ in us that hears his voice...Today if you will hear his voice harden not you hearts...That was the great Promise that God wanted to multiply Christ in humanity...Making humaniity perfect...Be ye perfect as your father in heaven is perfect...Thats y we must be bornagain of an incorruptible SEED...The reason we refer to the H.G. as the Promise is b/c the H.G.is an exact spiritual REPLICATED being as Jesus was in the flesh....A granson just like Jacob was the granson in the heavenly trinity....the H.G....There cannot be an Israel of Gd without a Granson....The 3 rd person was Jacob in the ABRAHAMIC TRINITY...And it was his name that was changed to Israel....Thus the H.G.the 3 rd person is the Israel of God that heavenly Jacob....Which will result in an Israel of God...ok lemme go....Read Isaiah 49 kjv....Another Jacob is coming which is the H.G....
John 10:18 shows us that Christ had the power to give up and take life back again. Starting at the statement at His death "it is finished" ( John 19:30) the atonement was complete at the same moment. The comment from the fellow prisoner (the one who repented) at the cross recieved a response just prior to that event where Christ assured him "today you shall be with me in paradise" ( Luke 23:43). This shows that sheol which at the time was the abode of all the dead (see state of Lazarus vs the rich man in the parable of Luke 16:19-31). Jesus came to set the captives free ( Ephesians 4:7-10) also alluded to in several other passages that could also refer to those captive in sin still on earth. He preached to the spirits in prison ( 1 Peter 3:19) which were either the demons or Nephilim and their offspring which were in the abyss before their time; or all the lost. Those who were His own were set free; their souls went to heaven and many appeared after His Resurrection ( Matt. 27:52-53). Thus; after this time only wicked in the torment part of hell still exist down there.
Christ; of course was the "first of the firstfruits" ( 1 Cor. 15:20). There will be the following afterwards; those who came out of their graves at that time as I stated above; then those at His appearing (i.e. Rapture); then those at His coming (2nd Coming). The firstfruits continue until the 144,000 which is a sort of gleaning of Israel ahead of the main harvest the countless multitude coming out of the Great Tribulation. ( Rev. 7:9).
What is most sobering is that Christ still bears marks on His body ( Luke 24:39); apparently the only one who is resurrected with such scars reminding us of his earthly suffering and existance. Hence; God did not allow His holy one to remain in sheol or see decay ( Psalm 16:10). He was the perfect; unblemished Lamb of God who we shall forever worship and adore.
Dear God the Father in Heaven, through Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Kingdom of the Holy Spirit. You who have created all things, great and small out of living beings. Man also is created in Your image. We thank You for the life You have given us, we also thank You for all that we have. Everything we have we received from Your blessing Lord Jesus. Thank you that it is entirely up to You to hand out the Holy Spirit. Bless Pierre1939 Jesus with Your revelation and spirit of knowledge. That You Lord give Your bread to all who seek Him. And in all things receive a righteous judgment. You know all the hearts of ppl Lord and know if there is good and bad, Amen.
It says somewhere Pierre1939 that in the last days the Spirit of the Lord will be distributed throughout the earth. And young men shall vision and old shall dream. So it is and so it will be as God has decreed. The angle you mention here is absolutely right. We've had it that way for 2023 years at least. Unless the calendar is messed with. Think so big that we SHALL have the same Holy Spirit on board. Like that shall we recognize the Lord. In Luke 24:28-31 we see that eyes of The disciples opened. So it is with us, too. Today, tribulations and struggles can veil our eyes. But suddenly, when the battle is over, the veil pulls away and we can see once again all that is around us. Not only that, but in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, He's still fighting the spiritual battle, I've heard that twice in my life. Also seen in my spirit. It's like the sound of lots of water and a storm like no other.
We call it spirit battles. Then the Lord fights for ppl lives. In our lives after He has saved us. Are we in this fight. Therefore, we also know evil and what it entails. Therefore, the Lord allows us to know of good. That we may know that He is with us always, even to the end of the world. Thank you for what you share, have a blessed Easter and never tire of lifting our sword against the powers who stand against us.
No you have to repent of your sins to be born again. John3:3 1Peter1:23 Romans6:6 Baptism is important but if you don't you want miss heaven. The thief on the cross did not have time to be baptized. Luke 24:42-47 All christians should be baptized and want to follow every example Jesus left us.
Hello Free & Gi Gi....Gbu....But everything i have written is Biblical.... Gen. 22:17 kjv...It all goes back to the Promise that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven...Thats y the sower has to go forth and sow his precious seed in man's hearts...And God Almighty SWORE BY HIS VERY SELF when he made this Promise of multipling Christ seed essentially multipling very God...Thats y Our Lord says to whom the Word came ( his good seed ) it made them Gods and the scripture cannot be broken.... Luke 24:49...Thats y they referred to the H.G. as the Promise....A baby Christ ....He is the multiplication of very God as God is spirit that has to be born in us from Jesus's good seed the living word....But Jesus said that satan is the father of the Tares b/c he sows the Tares....Thus Christ is the father of the wheat b/c Jesus is the one who sows the wheat Thus the Children of the Kingdom....Remember Jesus said the good seed are the Children of the Kingdom.
......But here is what happens satan comes and sows another seed in our heart....Then we are involved in war in heaven...Violence in heaven....The good seed the wheat is a baby Christ ...But the Tare becomes another satan..But Jesus said to let them grow together till the Harvest....Whosoever receives one such Child in my name receves me....The reason i say the wheat is a baby Christ is b/c the sower of that good seed is CHRIST THE BRIDEGROOM.....They don't call Jesus the bridegroom for nothin....God Almighty wants Jesus seed so the great promise of multiplication of Gods will happen....Children that cannot lie so he was their savior / father... Isaiah 63:8...Thus an ISRAEL of God....that are gonna be as the stars of heaven....Be ye perfect as your father in heaven is perfect...But this war is raging with in us ...Thus the wheat the baby Christ is in prison spiritually to the TARES....Thats y Paul was saying when i wd do good evil is present with me....I cannot do what i want to do O wretched man that i am. Alex GBU
Yes we are assigned to wrath...As Jesus said every sinner will have his part in the lake of fire....Which is his baptism of the H.G. and FIRE....The only way his vengence ( his wrath ) can be satisfied is by the lake of fire....His wrath is his love whom the lord loveth he chastens.... Hebrews 12 :8...If ye be without chastisement then are ye bastards and not sons....But we cannot tell ppl we are not assigned to wrath....When ye say things like that you are in essence saying we don't need his baptism of the H.G. AND FIRE...Nor his lake of fire....Jesus said every sinner MUST have his part in the lake of FIRE....Which is his baptism of the H.G. and fire.....Then and only then are we made free from his wrath....YA GOT TO RIGHTY DIVIDE THE WORD OF GOD
Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire...Our names are written in the book of life when we are baptised with the H.G. and fire...That New BIRTH IS WHEN His wrath is satisfied when we are washed in his blood... That NEW Covenant in his blood is the book of life....Simply b/c he wrote this book with his own blood....
Behold i send the Promise of my father upon you... Luke 24:49...Which was baptism of the H.G. AND FIRE.....The only thing that satisfies his wrath....We cannot do away with his baptism of the H.G. and fire.....Thats y he is saying every sinner has to have his part in the lake of fire....As our God is a consuming fire that has to consume our old evil adamic nature....
Jesus is a man of war...there is vengence in his heart... Psalms 55:21....Thus his wrath....His words were softer then oil but war was in his heart and his words were smother then butter but they were as drawn swords....Thus we see that there is war in his heart...Vengence ...thus wrath....But whom the lord loveth he chastens....Thus his wrath is his love for humanity...But if there was no wrath no, No chastisement then we wd be bastards and not sons... Hebrews 12:10....
I understand you are busy with work and your concerns about your brother, so not to rush, not on Daniel, but just a few things to consider about Matthew 24. My understanding of Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 is twofold, for then, and our future.
The reason is, history tells us the believers in Jesus got out and went to Pella across the Jordan river before the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD. And on the sabbath, today would not matter but then the gates would be locked, and it would be hard to leave.
Matt. 24:3, in Mark, we see it was Peter, James, John, and Andrew that ask Jesus in private. Jesus had just told them the temple would be destroyed and Matthew records "what sign of thy coming and the end of the world." It is easy to jump to they were talking about Jesus' second coming, but.
Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection were hidden from them until all was done. Luke 9:44-45Luke 18:31-34 and after they did not believe He resurrected. Mark 20:9-11Luke 24:6-8, John 20:9. Even right before He ascended, they were expecting Jesus to set up the kingdom then, Acts 1:6. So why in Matthew 24:3 would we interpret it as if they were asking Jesus about His second coming?
I will send you by this weekend what I have studied on the six things determined in Daniel 9:24 if I can shorten it enough, I do not like to send long posts. If you don't want me to post it let me know.
Acts 11:2 Peter, was come up to Jerusalem._._. Acts 11:13, the man in Joppa, sent men to call for Peter, it doesn't seem to mention the name of the man, nor the other men Peter ministered to. Acts 11:17, Peter talking explained the Gentile was also given the Holy Spirit & Salvation, not just Jewish people. Galatians 3:28, Romans 1:16,
Luke 24, Peter was one of the 1st witnesses to see the empty
tomb. Luke 24:12, John 21, Jesus meets with Peter after resurrection again & tells him If you love Me feed My lambs.
Acts 2, shows Peter speak boldly in front of thousands Acts 2:14-47,
Jesus was the fulfillment of Scripture in the Old Testament. Luke 24:19-27, Psalms 22, Isaiah 53, Zechariah 13:6, & many more.
The Holy Scriptures are broken down in Books & Separated by New Testament & Old Testament, none of which have been accredited as authored by Jesus. However many believe all were written about Jesus (redemption ) The Old Testament is before Jesus was born. The New Testament begins with Jesus birth, death on cross, resurrection from the grave, the witnessed accounts of Jesus life, ministry, miracles. Then continues the Good News os Salvation & ministry of the Church. Christians & Messianic Jews believe in the New Testament as Christ The Messiah the promised everlasting savior. Psalms 93:2, 1Kings 9:5, Zechariah 6:12-13, Psalms 89:3,4, 1Chronicles 17:11-27, Hebrews 8,
Matthew 8:4, Jesus obeyed scripture, Mark 1:44, & Jesus parents on Earth obeyed scripture, Luke 2:22,
Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit = Luke 11, John 20:21-22, Luke 12, Acts 1:5, John 14:16,26, John 15:26,
The Gospels were written after Jesus ascended to heaven but when we read them it is like it was happening as they wrote them. Jesus told them several times what was going to happen to Him, but it was hidden from them, Luke 9:44-45Luke 18:31-34. We see how they reacted when He was crucified and after He was resurrected, they did not believe the women when they told them Jesus had resurrected Luke 24:9-11.
The disciples believed Jesus the Messiah was going to set up the kingdom then, the gospel of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and being raised from the dead was hidden from them. So, when we read how Peter denied knowing Jesus and the disciples ran away when they arrested Him, this must be considered.
What they were expecting was crumbling in front of them. Their eyes were not opened until first Jesus opened their understanding, Luke 24:44-45 and later a Pentecost with the baptizing of the Holy Spirit.
Hi Richard, good thoughts, just a few questions to study for the truth.
I agree, "Somethin' ain't right here with the logic." Many have tried to calculate how close we are and only God the Father knows. My understanding of a generation is the average life from birth to death. The 120 years in Genesis was the warning God gave, they had 120 years to repent until the flood came and wiped them all out except the 8.
I assume the generation you are referencing is the one in Matt. 24Mark 13Luke 21. My understanding is they have a dual meaning some things are for the future and many things were for then. Jesus said that generation vipers, evil, adulterous, wicked, sinful, faithless, perverse, and "That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation" Matt.23:33-39.
"This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled" is where the division of understanding comes. What did Jesus mean when He said till all be fulfilled? Was it all prophesied up to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple we see in Daniel 9? Was it all until He returns? Was it part of both? We must remember at the time Jesus told them this they did not even know He was going to be crucified, Mark 16:14Luke 9:44-45Luke 18:31-34Luke 24:6-8 Luke 24:44-45.
Jesus said when you see the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel, flee Judea. History tells us all the believers in Jesus got that warning and fled to Pella a region across the Jordan river and were saved. Many today place this with saying the antichrist is the he in Dan.9:27, 7-year tribulation, and the rapture of the Church.
Has the 70-week prophecy been fulfilled? How would that change the rapture theory as taught? If we are looking to be taken out before the tribulation and that does not happen, would that be the hour of temptation and the falling away? The seven-year cleanup, could they be the first seven years of the millennium?
You said you "want to believe" but then declared "no!" then ask for help?
Jesus encountered a man (family, members) facing a similar dilemma. Mark 9:24, the account in context seemingly starts in : Mark 9:14-29.
The question that I ask you, is what are you having trouble believing?
It's ok to ask GOD to help you overcome disbelief. I had struggled years ago with Jonah 2, because cartoon animation had influenced my thinking. I could only imagine an unbelievable Disney Character inside a whale. Someone said to me something like 'you have to believe all the Bible or none' I prayed GOD would help me. Then one day I heard a report of a man being discovered inside the belly of a fish, fully intact, on a documentary channel. I then heard more than one account.
GOD is amazing at how HE can help us overcome anything. John 8:32, James 1:5,
If you're wondering about Jesus, raising from the grave read John 16:31-33, John 16 whole chapter = this was a written account of a witness, that: Jesus knew all these things were going to happen to him, even the very witness writing this would abandon him._._ beforehand. Matthew 26:32, Mark 14:28, Luke 24:34,
Also Luke 1:1-3, these people were unafraid to die for this truth: Acts 7:59,
If I might add my thoughts to your questions to Baker.
In Acts 2:1, "when the day of Pentecost was fully come", we find that the apostles had planned to be together in "one place". We don't find them bringing in their wheat harvest as required in celebration of Shavuot, or even participating in any celebrations pertaining to it, but rather, in waiting together on the appointed day for the coming of the Holy Spirit as Jesus instructed them ( Luke 24:49). So, the mention of them being together on Pentecost, simply meant that that was the day so appointed for them to gather (50 days after Passover).
Acts 10:11-15. It would take time & probably several lessons to completely extract the demands of the Old Covenant from the apostles & those of the Jews who had come to faith in Christ. But the vision that Peter saw & interpreted to him by Jesus, was not confined to clean & unclean foods, but to what the Jews regarded as anyone outside Jewry to be unclean ( Acts 10:28; Galatians 2:11-17). These were no doubt difficult lessons to learn, as things that are not of faith in Christ are removed from our minds & hearts. I know that I had to re-learn & deal with several issues after leaving the old life behind in 1979.
The Commandments. There's a difference in keeping the Commandments & keeping the Commandments to save us. Colossians 2:14, "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross". I understand that when the 'handwriting of ordinances' were removed & nailed, it didn't make God's Law obsolete & irrelevant; rather, the Law that once revealed to man his sin & condemned him without giving him a plan of escape, was finally nailed to the Cross where Jesus' Sacrifice now brought Mercy & Salvation. Since the Cross, we are to obey every commandment (& many more by the ministry & help of the Holy Spirit) - but those commands that are relevant for those found in Christ.
I see your request was "before dawn " I hope you've made it into another evening.
1st I pray you will never be tempted to hurt, harm or destroy yourself ever. You are created by GOD ALMIGHTY in HIS image. Psalms 139, in Psalms 139:14, it says fearfully & wonderfully made, fearfully meaning; apprehension something bad will happen. Amazingly GOD knew & knows with each of us, we have the potential to do & choose bad._.._however HE created with mercy & calles us "wonderful" keep reading & amazingly we see Psalms 139:17 GOD's thoughts are " precious" towards us, they number more than sand, HIS precious thoughts for & towards us. & like David who wrote Psalms 139:18, we are still with thee, if & when we awake. Difficulties can seem impossible, even people of the Bible went through despairing of life itself, yet everyone that chose life over death, had a better end. In this earth & in the End. Revelation 11:18,
Jesus = Matthew 26:38-42, Luke 24:34,
Jacob aka Israel = Genesis 37:35, Genesis 45:27,
Elijah = 1Kings 19:4, 2Kings 2:11,
Not good; Judas= Matthew 27:4-8, 2Samuel 17:23,
Choose life, that you might live Deuteronomy 30:19,
To add to the discussion on Psalm 22; the sufferings of Christ; His one time separation from the Father so that He could be the atonement for our sins and utter rejection by His own should be considered carefully. There are plenty of scientific journals which talk of the incredible suffering with the brutality of a crucifixion. We need to remember that while we were yet ENEMIES Christ died for us. (see Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:3 and many other scriptures). He experienced what we under the blood will never have to experience when taking on our sin and trading it for His righteousness through the sacrifice on the cross. There is more to see here as we get to Psalm 24 on that subject.
As for now; we remember that He will always have the nail scarred hands and feet on His resurrected body. ( Luke 24:39). He conquered death itself; which also is a theme discussed in the next study on Psalm 23 often used to assure those on their hour of need or to those facing death. Our only hope is in Christ; as are the blessings so we need to carefully examine our hearts to see if we are right with the Lord NOW. (See Hebrews 9:27).
Hi Dr. Lyle Lee....Let me bring your attention to the Woman at the well a Samaritan a Gentile.. John 4:1 Jesus tells her of the gift of God which is the H.G. That CHILD OF Promise..There is only 1 Promise.. Luke 24:49 kjv Behold i send the Promise of my father upon you which was baptism of the H.G. the Promise and that was the only Gospel he Preached..Being bornnagain of an incorruptible seed etc.. Acts 2:39...The Promise is unto you and your children....which was the gift of the H.G....A living being had to be born in them which was the H.G. Their new heart and new spirit was the H.G. That New Creature neither circumcision nor uncircumcision ( not Jew or Gentile )...but a new Creature...Which was the H.G..When he breathe on them they received the H.G... John 20:22...The gift of God and there is only 1 gift which is the H.G....Dr. Lee don't ya see that 2 gospels wd make him a double minded man which is an abomination to God...And a hypocrite...2 Gospels wd make him a hypocrite...Double minded man... James 4:8 a double minded man is unstable in all his ways...We know our Lord was not double minded preaching 2 gospels...Gbu Lyle, but ya need to rethink this...I always agree with you..But not on this one...
.....When he said my words are spirit and life that implies living words...The 1 and only Gospel is a living being the H.G....That Child of Promise..The only Gift of God ..Unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a lil child you will in no wise enter there in...That Child is the H.G. as that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit...Our new innerman has to be born in us Which is the Child of Promise... Romans 14:17 for the Kingdom of God is not in meat or drink but in joy and peace in the H.G....This implies that the H.G. IS THE Kingdom...And there is only 1 kingdom and 1 bridegroom
44. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, While I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46. And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day.
47. And that repentance and remissions of sin should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48. And ye are witnesses of these things.
49. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
God bless.
I hope this makes sense.
God bless.

My understanding
Jesus made the promise that when He went back to the Father He would ask the Father to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit to them, Luke 24:49 John 14:26 Acts 1:4-8.
God bless,

When we die do we automatically get to go to heaven or do we have to wait until the resurrection?
MountHoreb Reply: I personally can't recall at the moment Jesus giving any details
regarding The Apostles quick resurrection.
But We do have evidence of Jesus Resurrection Luke 24:46. when he died he was on the earth as an
invisible spirit Acts 1:3. Jesus as an invisible spirit ( john 4:24) has the ability to materialize into a human
Luke 24:3,5; Acts 1:9-11 . All angels Can transform themselves Luke 24:4; Luke 24:36
We also have an example of Apostle Stephen who was stoned by the infuriated High Priest.
he knew it meant his death for speaking the truth. notice what he said at Acts 7:54-60;
We have proof that Stephen appealed (prayed) to Jesus in Heaven Acts 7:59.
To no disappointment: Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) Only selected or Chosen a few
to go to heaven according to Revelation 14:1,3. notice the scripture said "from Earth" (redeemed or taken from)
Not all are picked as presidents only one is. and there are those selected under him. Revelation 20:4,6
HOPE THE SCRIPTURES ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION: Psalm 37
Point: Luke 24:45-48; Romans 7:7-25
Hope these scriptures help. Thanks
Luke 24:20-22
Stay strong i love u in Christ look in 1 John 1:5 and Luke 24:28-31
1 Corintians 15:55-57
Jesus light is in all of us who belive in Him.
Agape; Happy Resurrection Sunday.

Luke 9:44-45 Luke 18:31-34 and after they did not believe He resurrected. Mark 20:9-11 Luke 24:6-8, John 20:9.
God bless,

Acts 2, shows Peter speak boldly in front of thousands Acts 2:14-47,
Hopefully these are helpful
The Holy Scriptures are broken down in Books & Separated by New Testament & Old Testament, none of which have been accredited as authored by Jesus. However many believe all were written about Jesus (redemption ) The Old Testament is before Jesus was born. The New Testament begins with Jesus birth, death on cross, resurrection from the grave, the witnessed accounts of Jesus life, ministry, miracles. Then continues the Good News os Salvation & ministry of the Church. Christians & Messianic Jews believe in the New Testament as Christ The Messiah the promised everlasting savior. Psalms 93:2, 1Kings 9:5, Zechariah 6:12-13, Psalms 89:3,4, 1Chronicles 17:11-27, Hebrews 8,
Matthew 8:4, Jesus obeyed scripture, Mark 1:44, & Jesus parents on Earth obeyed scripture, Luke 2:22,
Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit = Luke 11, John 20:21-22, Luke 12, Acts 1:5, John 14:16,26, John 15:26,
2Timothy 3:16
Hope these are helpful
The Gospels were written after Jesus ascended to heaven but when we read them it is like it was happening as they wrote them. Jesus told them several times what was going to happen to Him, but it was hidden from them, Luke 9:44-45 Luke 18:31-34.
Just something to think about.
God bless,

I agree, "Somethin' ain't right here with the logic." Many have tried to calculate how close we are and only God the Father knows. My understanding of a generation is the average life from birth to death. The 120 years in Genesis was the warning God gave, they had 120 years to repent until the flood came and wiped them all out except the 8.
I assume the generation you are referencing is the one in Matt. 24 Mark 13 Luke 21.
We must remember at the time Jesus told them this they did not even know He was going to be crucified, Mark 16:14 Luke 9:44-45 Luke 18:31-34 Luke 24:6-8 Luke 24:44-45.

Revelation 11:18,
Jesus = Matthew 26:38-42, Luke 24:34,
Jacob aka Israel = Genesis 37:35, Genesis 45:27,

As for now; we remember that He will always have the nail scarred hands and feet on His resurrected body. ( Luke 24:39). He conquered death itself; which also is a theme discussed in the next study on Psalm 23 often used to assure those on their hour of need or to those facing death. Our only hope is in Christ; as are the blessings so we need to carefully examine our hearts to see if we are right with the Lord NOW. (See Hebrews 9:27).

50. And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
