This subject has been discussed before, and I don't reply to cause debate, but in my heart, I feel it is deception that people may be looking for something that is not coming. In Matthew 24, Jesus said, "Take heed that no man deceive you." I would like to point out a few things that may be considered for study in pursuit of the truth. The Rapture doctrine, where the Church is taken to heaven before the second coming of Jesus, does it fit scripture? If Daniel 9:25-27 has been fulfilled, how does that affect the Rapture doctrine?
Each one of us is accountable- Romans 14:12.
There are two resurrections: the first in Revelation 19:11-21 through Revelation 20:1-5. This aligns with what Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-58.
When Jesus returns, it will be with the armies of heaven in Revelation 19, and in Matthew 24, Jesus sends His angels to gather His elect. We see in Matthew 24:29-31, Mark 13:24-27, and Luke 21:25-28.
When Jesus returns, the Battle of Armageddon occurs, Revelation 16:13-16, Ezekiel 39:11-22, Revelation 19:17-19, and the beast and false prophet are cast into the lake of fire, Revelation 19:20-21. Satan is imprisoned in the bottomless pit, Revelation 20:1-3, and judgment occurs for those in the first resurrection on earth, Revelation 20:4, not in heaven, then the 1000 years, Revelation 20:5-6.
I do not know of any Bible verses that agree with the rapture of the Church?
Revelation 14:7 - Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God,
You see, people were in between making a decision. I can't eat; I can't participate in the world's economic system unless I get that mark. But you know those two witnesses, those two guys on TV, they are telling me don't take it. And here's this angel flying in mid-heaven telling people do not take the mark of the beast.
Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Now I want to make a comment to you before we get to the second angel. This is very important!
We have various movements that take place within the body of Christ periodically. We've got the great commission going now. Several years ago, a movement started when people said that Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 that He can't come until all the nations are reached with the gospel. They said He wouldn't come until all the nations are reached.
1 John 2:28 - And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
And now, little children (TEKNIA-little born ones), abide in Him; That's the word remain (MENO). In order that when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at his coming. So, he says abiding and remaining is the key. When Jesus comes, those who are abiding in Him, they will be ready for His coming.
Those who say they belong to Him, but are not abiding in Him, they will be left behind. It's not a performance. In Matthew 24:13, and the way the Greek text says it, it says the one who has endured to the end is the one who is saved. So, endurance is a characteristic, or evidence that a person is saved.
If you stop and think about it, if you receive Christ, and your soul or spirit is sealed by the Holy Spirit, your soul now belongs to Christ. He says He will never leave you nor forsake you. Well, how can we not endure to the end if He's living in us?
He's the one who causes me to endure. In the human I might be weak, but there isn't anything or anyone that's going to take me away from Christ. Not even my own sin is going to take me away from Christ. Nothing will separate me from the love of God.
Please take note of this, that HUPOMENO, remaining under, is a characteristic of one who is saved. They will make it to the end because God will make it through them. It will not be by human performance.
"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived ( 2 Timothy 3:13).
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. ( Matthew 24:11).
As we get closer to the time of the end; and the approach of the Antichrist's appearance; more and more false prophecies will seem to be fulfilled. It is only expected that if a man deceives the whole world as Revelation 13:8 says And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Surely a false Messiah will appear to mirror many aspects of the true one; and reading Revelation shows how miraculous signs from heaven and most importantly an apparent restoration from death ( Revelation 13:3) after the deadly wound mentioned in Zechariah 11:17. The events of the first seal in Revelation 6:1 and also mentioned in the Daniel 9:27 passage and other verses from that book in particular show how he arises. It only takes a little homework to see that Islam teaches of an eventual 12th Imam who will arise and bring forth a time of peace; which echoes New Age; the Maitreya and other manifestations of a utopia believed to arrive after we have "evolved" to the next level.
For this study; I just pass through the final manifestation of evil on the earth in this age and will now focus on the false prophets of today as well as in the past to see characteristics. The first thing I would say is that a false prophet usually has false "profits". Titus 1:10-11 states For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. There are some who clearly are fleecing the flock for exorbitant living that are in megachurches; but other times cults will declare a vow of poverty but bilk funds.
This servant according to verse 30 was cast into "outer darkness". It sounds like hell although some could argue it means into the Tribulation such as the portion with the hypocrites passage in Matthew 24:51. I wouldn't want to chance anything though.
These are among the hardest sayings of the Lord; and we certainly can consider that God may indeed give potential to some with natural abilities and perhaps the potential exists for doing things for the Lord that is wasted. We contrast this with verses about those who are also shut out that say that they did many good works for Him which sounds like investing in the Kingdom in Matthew 7:22-23. This is food for further discussion as I feel ill prepared dealing with these verses.
The narrow road certainly comes into focus with these passages. The last section of Matthew 25: 31-46 show the "sheep and goat" judgment which I would argue is at the end of the Tribulation and relates to the works of those supporting the 144,000 and other suffering believers at that time of persecution. Visiting them and supporting them would likely cost them their lives.
What we can't say is that just doing such works saves somebody; but again we have to look at what works we are doing now and make sure we don't neglect the needs of those in our midst. These are sobering passages.
On the scripture reading matthew 24:44 "be ye ready"
it states it right there, "be ye ready" god the father, jesus christ the son, and the holy spirit is always with us.....front side back and carries us when we are falling.....but "be ye ready" for when he comes or when they come, are we ready?
personally, i want to be ready but i know i am not ready.....but most importantly i above all want to be ready to always serve to lord
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you on this one. When Paul spoke about the rapture of the church in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4, he was not referring to the words of Jesus spoken in Matthew Chapter 24. Matthew 24:31 is a prophecy taken from Isaiah 27:12-13 which is also a prophecy that the Jews looked for, that one day, God is going to gather them (the Jews) together from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other, north, south, east, and west. It has nothing to do with the rapture of the church.
You are correct in saying that "Collecting from four winds cannot be like a bird pouncing on a mouse." I agree with you on that, and that's why I wasn't referring to Jesus' words in Matthew Chapter 24 in my example. I was using it as an example of believers being snatched up from this earth and carried away. If you feel that it was a bad example, then so be it, I'm perfectly okay with that. I don't expect you or anyone else to agree with everything I post. Perhaps your example of Elijah would have been more appropriate to use, so thank you for mentioning Elijah. And of course I would include Enoch also.
If I may just respond to a couple of things, you say that "The Spirit always supplies instances to guide you." My response to that is yes, He does, and He has! You also seem to insinuate that either I'm relying on the Vulgate, or my Greek is inappropriate, and that I might be suggesting that St Paul's Greek was at fault. Well, I do not know Latin, and if I were to compare my knowledge of Greek to the Apostle Paul's, then yes, my Greek would be seen as inappropriate. I'm not sure if there's anyone on this forum whose knowledge of Greek could stand in comparison to Paul's, definitely not mine! No, I am not placing blame anywhere, and yes, we are to follow the Spirit's leading as we approach God's word.
We are at a disagreement with each other on this and I see no need to drag this one out. Again, may the Lord continue to bless you abundantly!
This reply is a little late, but I just wanted to thank you for reading my post, and an extra thanks for reading it twice! I am trying to connect what I shared about a bird swooping down to snatch up a mouse by force with the passages you listed but I am unable to do so. Those passages are not what I described. My description was of a bird snatching up a living creature from the earth and carrying it away alive, not carnivorous birds coming down and eating dead bodies off the ground.
I'm sorry if what I posted led you to those passages. I was describing the rapture of the church, not Matthew 24:27-28 or Revelation 19:17-18.
Matthew 24:28 says that wheresoever the carcass is, there will the vultures be gathered together. The coming of Christ and all these carcasses were prophesied in Ezekiel 39:17 and all of Chapter 34 of Isaiah. In Revelation 19:17-18, we have the vision of the Supper of God. This is a different kind of supper. It's not the Supper of the Lamb that we believers will partake of after we are raptured.
Thanks again for reading and responding to my post. I do wish to apologize if I caused any misunderstanding. May the Lord continue to bless you and continue to give you a hunger and desire for His word. Blessings!
The most dangerous thing in the Bible is being deceived by false prophets, false apostles, false accusers, false witness and false Christs . Satan will use anyone to do his work in deception.

Thank you, I agree. There are cults out there that are way off base, but I have no part of them. I know you have never said salvation is not dependent on belief in the Trinity but some posts on here have. I am sorry you must have confused me with someone else but I have never said I believe in eternal security. We must endure to the end, Matthew 24:13.
Which Bible translation is the Holiest one ? This question will definitely offend others. My advice is, choose a Bible that glorifies Jesus Christ the most.
The translation Bible should be as pure as possible to the original.
Psalm 12:6
Thewordsof theLordarepurewords: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
God's Word is pure.
Proverbs 30:5
EverywordofGodis pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Hebrews 12:2

Who is sounding the trumpet for the Rapture or the gathering of the Saints in the clouds to meet Jesus Christ ?
It's very interesting that people like to mix Apostle Paul epistles with the four gospels and Revelation when it comes to the Rapture.
Only Apostle Paul talks about the Rapture or the gathering in the clouds.
God's voice is the trumpet. God is sounding one trumpet.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with thetrumpof God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Thr seven angels are sounding the trumpets and not God in Revelation, Not the same as 1 thessalonians 4:16.

And the seven angels which had the seventrumpets prepared themselves to sound.
Angels again sounding the trumpet and not God.
Matthew 24:31
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of atrumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The reason some don't believe the trinity is because they don't believe the scriptures and they don't believe Jesus Christ is God.
When you read this verse, Jesus Christ is the Word. The three are one and that means trinity.

Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 God died for us on the cross.
Revelation 4:1 and beyond are future events that have yet to take place.
Write the things which thou hast seen(past), and the things which are(ch 2-3, Past-Present), and the things which shall be hereafter;(Future: Tribulation is Revelation 4:1 (no one knows when but the Father) - Revelation 19:11-21 (2nd Coming of Christ.
Matthew 24:1-3 1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
The temple that God has in view are the churches and congregations that are scattered all over the earth. The word "buildings" in Matthew 24:1 is the same Greek root word translated "building" in 1 Corinthians 3:9 9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's "building".
God goes on in 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 to describe that there are two kinds of materials in this spiritual building: gold, silver, precious stones, typifying true believers, and wood, hay, stubble, typifying those who externally identify with the kingdom of God and yet are not born from above, and are fit to be burned and consumed by God who is a consuming fire.
The statement of Matthew 24:2, "There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down," means that there are no exceptions.
We are living in the period of great tribulation, spoken of in Matthew 24:21-22 21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
The word 'tribulation' is the Greek word thlipsis translated "affliction" twice in Acts 7:10-11.
When we couple these two things together, namely the inference that there is some kind of end-time salvation activity that is to take place, together with the fact that the great tribulation is a time when judgment has begun in the house of God ( 1 Peter 4:17) and shall remain so until the very end, we realize that both of these activities are happening simultaneously, and that the mechanism by which God is separating the wheat from the tares in our day is the command to depart out of the local congregations.
That brings us back to the timeline. Faithful Bible students have shown (I am not permited to give the reference here) that the Great Tribulation began in May of the year 1988, which was also the 13,000th anniversary of the history of the world, and that the church age officially ended in September 1994, at which time God began the period called the Latter Rain during which a great harvest of souls is being gathered from every corner of the world using sources outside the local congregations. The year 1994 is an auspicious year in that it is a jubilee year that occurs every 50th year beginning back in 1407 B.C. when the children of Israel entered the land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, a land typifying the kingdom of God. The jubilee is characterized by the blowing of the ram's horn proclaiming liberty (from sin) throughout the land, and every man returning unto his possession, who is God himself ( Leviticus 25:8-10). The evidence of the Bible is that Jesus was born in 7 B.C. which was also a jubilee year. The year 1994 A.D. happens to be the first jubilee year after the fig tree (national Israel) put forth leaves in 1948, and thus, fits very well with the prophecy of Matthew 24:32 that when the fig tree puts forth leaves, ye know that summer, that is, harvest, is nigh.
As S Spencer has said this is not about salvation, through Jesus we have the gift of eternal life. Please do not be confused, the truth is in the Scriptures with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Many are looking to be taken to heaven before the great tribulation of Satan, the beast, and the false prophet.
We all will be judged Acts 17:31Hebrews 9:272 Corinthians 5:10
There will be two resurrections; the first is when Jesus returns, after Satan, the beast, and the false prophet have their 3.5 years of tribulation, Revelation 13:1-5Matthew 24:29-31 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5.
When Jesus returns with His angels, the first resurrection, the battle of Armageddon, the beast and the false prophet are cast into the lake of fire, Satan is locked in the bottomless pit and Jesus will set up the kingdom, and those chosen, and faithful who are first resurrected will rule with Jesus, Revelation 16, 17, 18, 19. After the battle, in Revelation 20:5 we see Thrones and judgment is given to them who were in the first resurrection and given the honor to reign with Jesus during the 1000 years.
We see in Revelation 20:5-6 the rest of the dead lived not until after the 1000 years and the blessing on those who will be priests of God who will reign with Jesus in the millennium on earth, not heaven. There will be different rewards for the saved who will live in eternity with God and Jesus.
In Daniel 12:2-3 we see some will shine greater than others and also, we see those in this resurrection, there will be those who will awake to everlasting life, and some who will awake to everlasting contempt. We also see in John 5:28-29 and Matthew 25:31-46 what we see in the white throne judgment, Revelation 20:11-15 the rest of the dead, some will go into eternal life and some who are not found in the book of life is cast into the lake of fire.
There is much more to study, you should study for your conscience, we must not be deceived Matthew 24:4.
Thank you for your reply, this is true, whatever this mark will be whether it is an electronic chip, a barcode, or whatever it is it will have to be shown. A first-class ticket to the lake of fire. The same as the Decian persecution in 250 AD done by Emperor Decius, many were killed or died in prison but the ones who apostatized had to show a certificate. As you said it will not be good, it will be a worldwide tribulation this world has not seen, Matthew 24:21.
We must be strong in our faith, many will be deceived and many will die, there is a verse I believe is about when this happens we will be given the strength to not take this mark, it is Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Our strength is in Jesus we must put on the full armor of God Ephesians 6:10-18.
We must take to heart what Jesus said in Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. this is what is coming, and many will fall away/apostatize.
Just some thoughts on Revelation 12 it covers the past and the future up to the beginning of the 3.5 years of tribulation.
Part 3
Satan then goes after the remnant of her seed those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. The remnant of her seed is the faithful people here when the tribulation starts. Like the ones before us who have been persecuted and killed, the fathers and prophets, and after Jesus the thousands upon thousands who have been tortured and killed in the name of Jesus, why would the last be spared when the first was not?
This starts the 3.5 years of tribulation as we see in Revelation 13, in the original text it is Satan standing on the sand of the sea to give his power, his seat, and great authority to the beast. We see in Rev. 11:7 and Rev. 17:8 that this is the bottomless pit. There are not seven years as some say we see when Satan is cast down and the beast rises, he is given only 42 months, and that is 3.5 years Revelation 13:5. It all starts when Satan is cast down the short time he has is 3.5 years.
The end of the 3.5 years will be when the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled, Luke 21:24Romans 11:25Revelation 11:2. Then the second coming of Jesus, Matthew 24:29-31 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17Revelation 1:7Revelation 3:11Revelation 19:11-16Revelation 22:12.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
This is what is coming, everyone will be tempted to take the mark of the beast, Jesus will give us if we are here the strength to say no even if we face death. Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Revelation 15:2
Luke 21:15 - For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
For I will give you a mouth, (meaning I'll give you the words), and the wisdom, that's the knowledge and understanding, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay (that is, contradict nor resist). That's quite a promise!
I've heard of some Bible schools that actually promote this verse for people in the ministry. They say that you don't need to study the Bible. The Holy Spirit will tell you what to say when you have to get up and preach. That is not the context by which Jesus is speaking.
Paul even said study to show yourself approved of God, a workman that's not ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Luke 21:18 - But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
Basically, it is a Hebraism. It is a Hebraism that basically says they might be able to kill the body but cannot kill the soul. This is God's protection and provision over you. There will not be anything done to you that's done outside of the will of God. It will be all because of the will of God.
Luke 21:19 - In your patience possess ye your souls.
In Matthew 24:13, Matthew said that "he who endures to the end will be saved." They are both saying the same thing. But I like this as an explanation. In your patience you possess your soul. The word for patience is HUPOMENO which means to remain under.
Patience in the King James has to do with remaining under circumstances. Long suffering has to do with patience towards people because long suffering means to be slow in human reaction to other people. But HUPOMENO means to remain under your circumstances.
6And at midnight(at the turn from he sixth to the seventh and last Day, the Lord's Day)there was a cry made,Behold, the bridegroom cometh;go ye out to MEET Him.
Acts 1:8-11
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you:and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9And when JESUS had spoken these things, while they beheld,He was taken up;and a CLOUD received JESUS out of their sight.
10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as JESUS went up, behold,TWO MEN stood by them in white apparel; (Comment: Would the two men had been Gabriel and Michael- Daniel 12:6-13 combined with Genesis 19:1-3and 12-15?By the way, what is the difference between sea & river in the Scriptures?Being the sea=waters=peoples and nations, and multitudes of all tongues, and the waters of the river:Who are them? Are not them exclusively the elected people of GOD redeemed by JESUS- John 7:38-, or even His Church,His body?)
11The two men said:Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?this same JESUS,which is taken up from you into heaven, shall SO COME IN LIKE MANNER(in the same place, and the same CLOUD- Matthew 24:30)as ye have seen JESUS go into heaven.
1Thes.4:16-18
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of GOD:and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloud,to meet the Lord in the air(in the ineffable, indescribable, unspeakable environment of the 3rd heaven)and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Word of GOD is from everlasting to everlasting, the Word is GOD, GOD Himself,self-executing.Great mystery-> Matthew 11:27
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
O Lord Jesus, How Long
Christ returneth
- James McGranahan
1
It may be at morn, when the day is awaking,
When sunlight through darkness and shadow is breaking,
That Jesus will come in the fullness of glory,
To receive from the world "His own."
Refrain:
O Lord Jesus, how long, how long
Ere we shout the glad song,
Christ returneth!
Hallelujah! hallelujah!
Amen, Hallelujah! Amen.
2
It may be at midday, it may be at twilight,
It may be, perchance, that the blackness of midnight
Will burst into light in the blaze of His glory,
When Jesus receives "His own." (Refrain)
3
While its hosts cry Hosanna, from heaven descending,
With glorified saints and the angels attending,
With grace on His brow, like a halo of glory,
Will Jesus receive "His own." (Refrain)
4
Oh, joy! oh, delight! should we go without dying,
No sickness, no sadness, no dread and no crying,
Caught up through the clouds with our Lord into glory,
Matthew 24:34 - Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
The word generation itself has no association with years at all, unless you put the years with it. The word generation means race or kind of people. GENEA is the word, and it means a race or kind of people. Basically, what He saying here, is this kind or race of people (the Jews), shall not pass away until all these things be fulfilled. They are His elect. They are His protected people, His chosen people, and He will fulfill His promises to them.
Matthew 24:43 - But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
The word goodman is actually the house master in Greek. If the House master had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Matthew 25:1 - Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
They had no lamps in those days. In those days it was a torch. It was a stick with cloth wrapped around it. And they would soak the cloth in oil, and they would light it. And they would bring an extra bottle of oil along and keep it lit.
Matthew 25:24 - Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
The word strawed means to scatter, DIASPORA. You gather together where you haven't even scattered anything. That is a hard man!
Matthew 25:27 - Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
He says to give your money to the exchangers, and then at my coming, I should have received mine own with interest. That is what usury means, with interest.
Matthew 24:28 - For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
A better translation would be "vultures be gathered together." This verse could not be fulfilled until the mid-1990s. There are now carnivorous birds in Israel, in order for that to be fulfilled. That will happen when Jesus comes and He defeats His enemies in the battle of Armageddon.
It's prophesied, the coming of Christ, and the prophecies of these carcasses. You can see it in Ezekiel 39:17, all of Chapter 34 of Isaiah, and as it happens in Revelation 19:17-21.
Matthew 24:31 - And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Just some technical information just to show you how good this passage is:
He is going to send His angels out with a great sound of a Shofar. It's a ram's horn. Now in the Greek text, the word "sound" is in brackets, which means it was added to the text by some unseen person who doesn't understand the fact that the word "great" modifies the trumpet. It is called a great Shofar.
The prophecy is in Isaiah 27:12-13. It says the great Shofar will blow, and the Lord will gather His people from the four corners of the earth. So that is very important because that's a prophecy that the Jews looked for. It says He is going to gather them together, his elect (that would be the Jews), from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other, north, south, east, and west.
Matthew 24:1 - And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Verse 1 tells us that that Jesus went out and was Departing. Notice the literal translation. It shows an Imperfect Tense, was departing. He was in the process of leaving the temple grounds when the disciples came to Him to show Him the buildings of the temple.
Matthew 24:4 - And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
The word "deceive" in the Greek is not the normal word for deception. It is the word for misleading. Don't let anybody mislead you about what's going to happen in the last days. That is very important! Jesus gives the reason why in Matthew 24:5.
Matthew 24:8 - All these are the beginning of sorrows.
The word sorrows in Greek, is the word for birth pains, when a woman goes into labor. But Jesus calls them birth pains because they start out very light, further apart, and then the more a woman gets into the time of giving birth, the more intense it becomes, and the more frequent they become. So, Jesus said these are just the beginning.
Matthew 24:13 - But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
The literal translation from the Greek is, but the one who has endured, not the one who will, but the one who has endured unto the end, this one will be saved. The first thing is, because it is an Aorist Participle, it shows the proof of those who are saved, and it matches the rest of the teachings in the New Testament. The person who is saved WILL endure to the end.
Matthew 24:25 - Behold, I have told you before. Literally in the Greek, behold I'm telling you ahead of time, so that you know when it happens.
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time( Matthew 24:14-15&21-23.Take look): and at that time (THE CURRENT TIME) thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (Who are the light of the world?)
1Thessalonians 4:15-17
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (MICHAEL), and with the trump of G0D( Revelation 11:15-18): and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloud(THE SAME CLOUD THAT APPEARED IN HIS ASCENSION IN THE MOUNT OLIVET- ACTS 1:9-11, to meet the Lord in the air(IN THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE THIRD HEAVEN THAT WILL BE ESTABLIHED IN THIS CURRENT MILLENNIUM): and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Get ready , the Word is GOD, GOD Himself, self-executing.
Part 1
See part 2
These are sobering passages.
it states it right there, "be ye ready" god the father, jesus christ the son, and the holy spirit is always with us.....front side back and carries us when we are falling.....but "be ye ready" for when he comes or when they come, are we ready?
personally, i want to be ready but i know i am not ready.....but most importantly i above all want to be ready to always serve to lord

Thanks for responding and clearing that up.
As for eternal security, I believe Everlasting life is everlasting and that begins the moment you are saved!
I believe a child of God has been Justified by the redemptive blood of Christ, he's being sanctified by the Spirit of Christ and he will be glorified.
Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
There's not a verse that can all set that.
A born-again Christian can not be un-born.
It's the Lord that sees them through..
An ungenerated person miss the mark which is perfection.
The blood of Christ is an atonement! (A covering for our imperfections)
If you can loose your salvation you were never covered.
If you can't perform perfection to get saved how are you going to perform ot to stay saved if it depends on your fleshly works?
I thought it was the shepherds duty to keep the sheep safe.
Not only from the wolf but also from himself.
Jesus is the great shepherd and if a sheep wander off and get lost he goes out and finds him.
As for Matthew 24:13. that's not applied to the Church and is not an endurance for Salvation.
As you know we have different eschatology views so I won't get into that here.
If you can earn Salvation you can loose it.
No one can earn it.
Blessings
Thank you, I agree. There are cults out there that are way off base, but I have no part of them. I know you have never said salvation is not dependent on belief in the Trinity but some posts on here have. I am sorry you must have confused me with someone else but I have never said I believe in eternal security. We must endure to the end, Matthew 24:13.
Thanks, brother and God bless,

Who is sounding the trumpet for the Rapture or the gathering of the Saints in the clouds to meet Jesus Christ ?
It's very interesting that people like to mix Apostle Paul epistles with the four gospels and Revelation when it comes to the Rapture.
Only Apostle Paul talks about the Rapture or the gathering in the clouds.
God's voice is the trumpet. God is sounding one trumpet.

Cont in Part 7

We all will be judged Acts 17:31 Hebrews 9:27 2 Corinthians 5:10
There will be two resurrections; the first is when Jesus returns, after Satan, the beast, and the false prophet have their 3.5 years of tribulation, Revelation 13:1-5 Matthew 24:29-31 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5.
God bless,

God bless,
RLW
The end of the 3.5 years will be when the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled, Luke 21:24 Romans 11:25 Revelation 11:2. Then the second coming of Jesus, Matthew 24:29-31 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 Revelation 1:7 Revelation 3:11 Revelation 19:11-16 Revelation 22:12.

18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Matt. 25:10 ->And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came;and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:and the door was shut.
4
Oh, joy! oh, delight! should we go without dying,
No sickness, no sadness, no dread and no crying,
Caught up through the clouds with our Lord into glory,
When Jesus receives "His own." (Refrain)
