2nd Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. You say God is one then you say there is three you don't know what you believe. I know what the scripture the says and God does not need an interpreter.

There is one God, Father, Son ,Holy Ghost, The Trinity, v. 19. Pretty plain. It states in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I n the name of, with which some struggle, redundant to put in the name of for each person of the God Head. Anyone understanding english knows that only one "in the name of" is needed to include all three beings of the God Head. Struggle at a knat, swallow the camel.

James 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: I read matthew 28:19 and it says in the name and that name is Jesus.
When you write a check you don't write father but you got put your name or it will not be cashed.there is power in the name of Jesus not titles . Read 1stCorinthians 12:13.

The Bible says that ALL scripture is inspired of God. ( 2 Timothy 3:16) To say that an emperor wrote Matthew 28:19,20 is saying that 2 Timothy 3:16 is a lie. We know that Jesus and his disciples practiced and taught evangelizing.Remember the words at 2 Peter 1:20,21. Interpretation comes from God.

Bible Reader, read Hebrews 10:12. Jesus is sitting on the right hand of The Father. Our high priest and His Father. Also, Matthew 28:19 states Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. By Jesus Christ himself. Couldn't be clearer. Read John 17:3, the Lord's prayer.

No where in the Bible does it say God is a - 'person'; it DOES say Jn. 4:24 and Rom. 8:16. Jesus very words I'm Matt. 28:19 do not say there are 3 persons NOR even 3 spirits; He said baptizing them in the NAME (not names). Acts 2:38 tells us what that name is. Also does Acts 4:12, also does Philippians 2:9-11; Isa.45:23. Jesus was the only 'person'.

We are to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, as Jesus gave us commandment , Matthew 28:19. His very own words. Our God is three distinct persons, not three different God's. At the creation and all through the Old Testament through the new. Jesus says take heed that no man deceives you. Women, also. God Bless Your Success.

It's is one God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, just as Jesus Christ is trying to tell you. I and the Father are one, just like He says. Three persons working together for our good. John 14 states the Comforter will come. Jesus says He will be in you and He will be around. Never leave you. He, a distinct person. Not thing. He covered Jesus without measure. Not hard to see. Christ's throne is in the Father's throne. Separate thrones together. Jesus is sitting on the Father's right hand.

The Lord just gave me an understanding of why Trinitarians WON'T (refuse) to believe in all the scriptures that proclaim - ONE GOD; in Acts 2:38 (baptized in the NAME of ... ) there are a LOT of things we are shown we must 'do' (Jas. ch. 2) to obey His commandments. People want to go their own way - and still live for God. God's not 'blind' to us.

Vickie, I used to be bothered about Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Couldn't figure it out in my head. Confused. One God. What in the world. Then reading the scriptures, it became clear to me how they could be together. Jesus says Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Jesus is the authority at this time. As Jesus said there are 3, he is the authority.v. 20 to do as we are commanded. We are to follow His commands

This whole concept of the Trinity is new and foreign to me. In Matt. 28 where it says two times that the disciples "worshiped" the resurrected Jesus. I was taught from scripture there is "only one God". I do believe Jesus is God's only-begotten son. That he lived and died for our sins. I also believe there is only one way to God through Jesus Christ. I also now believe Jesus is reigning in Heaven

"; " ..... repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name ..... "; Matt. 18:16 - " ..... that in the mouth of two or three witnesses ..... "; 2 Cor. 13:1 - " ..... in the mouth of two or three witnesses ..... "; 1Tim. 5:19.

Amen Jesus tried to make this simple for us but the devil knows if he can keep you from being baptized in that singular all powerful only saving name of Jesus he can keep from being saved Acts 4:12 none other name under heaven whereby ye must be saved Colossians 3:17 Do all in the name of Jesus .

God is very Persis in giving directions and he said in the "name" not "names" plural forum. if he had wanted us to baptize in the titles or names of God he would have used the plural here but the Hebrew word for "name" is singular and can not mean in the names of anything or anyone. You error in that in the scripture it is saying name of and then gives three different titles for that name. Just like I am a father and I am a son and I have a spirit, but my name is Rick! There is no three separate persons or a trinity mentioned anywhere in the word of God! People try to explain away that Jesus was none other than God himself manifested in the flesh, robed in flesh and dwelt among us. NO Person other than God can forgive sins, NO ONE BESIDES HIM! So it had to be God almighty that was formed as a man, not a separated being other than God!

Wa-a-y back in '14, a person said the ascension wasn't mentioned in Matt., but that it was in Luke and this made him doubt the veracity of the Bible. Well, this person has LOTS of company. Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve, but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

When Jesus told the disciples to baptize in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy spirit in Mt. 28. and then Peter says for them in Act. 2 to be baptized in Jesus name, It means, "in the authority of" In Mk.16:15-20 Jesus say's, "These signs shall follow them that believe, in My name they shall" Name is referring to authority. Peter baptized in the authority of Jesus name Mt.28

Amen "baptizing them in the Name" the Apostle Peter was there when Jesus said this .Was Peter disobeying Jesus or did he understand what the name of the Father,Son,and Holy Ghost is when he told everyone of them to be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins in Acts 2:38 the Apostles only baptized in Jesus Name throughout scripture

Jesus himself is a word of God. God our Father sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ becoz of his love to us John3.16 so that you and me will have life in abundance. Jesus came to fulfill the Scripture and paid the price for us by his blood we are pardoned Jesus wants us to be his disciples and have obedience to his words. This is a mission of salvation ordered by Jesus, it must not be neglect because of this mission depend the growth of the church. If we go not and teach not all the nation all the men and women we keep our neighbors from salvation, and we obey not to Jesus. We must go everywhere and teach the gospel to get many souls to Jesus. Baptism is a mark of god's covenant with the one who accept Jesus in his life baptism must follow the decision to follow Jesus. And it is good to baptize sying: "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" as Jesus said.
