Hello Fred, Perhaps the word patience may answer both questions?

The sanctification that you speak of is according to HIS righteousness. We are not of the world but we are in the world. With this in mind God does not want us to turn our back on evil , but know the evil is their and the enemy of the cross is very real! The real question for me is how we allow the spirit to work in our lives and be a shining light so others may see the truth in Gods word? Being led by the spirit ,a process that requires us to believe and knowing that we make mistakes along the way? These mistakes (sins) may provide motivational progress for the unbeliever! Let those who make mistakes, know that you are forgiven for the sake of Jesus Christ death and Resurrection, thereby those who see may believe!

    To the TEMPLE OF GOD

This is the very reason why the believers present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God. Not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of their mind, to prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God ( Romans 12:1,2).

The renewing of the mind is all part of the Repentance process during which time we prepare a sanctuary (our body) for His Spirit to dwell in.

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God and we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It should also be remembered that it is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

Dear Adam, There are many issues to the hinderance of the Gospel being preached freely, some of which can be easily solved in simple voting some of which the Christian must ne willing to suffer persecution to remain at peace with their neighbor. Regarding times past we should all read up on the Martyrs of the 15th century that stood in peace for keeping the Gospel's Truths without fear of man, yet without violence or their own will over any man. History has a way of repeating itself. Some estimates of those willing to suffer this way were in the hundreds of thousands or possibly greater. We need to know who we are voting for, our they really our brother or are they pursuing the world and its lust.

Ash is falling it is so dark and smokey outside. Let's pray that our little lights will shine until the end without fear.

Apparently, powers that be now, want to drop history from public school. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that. I love history, even at my age!

Jordan Sekulow (his Dad is Jay Sekulow of ACLJ on google). Is beginning a new YouTube channel for kids to teach history and facts about our nation.

    It's called: BALDBEAGLE

You have to turn your youtube mini-player on. I put that in Search, to find out how to turn mine on, lol. The one on the 'bald eagle' is well done. Wouldn't hurt to add this in to online classes, after class.

Regarding voting as a Christian. My firm stance is that noone who claims to be a true Christian can vote for any politician who is "pro-choice" aka pro-abortion aka pro death of the unborn. Therefore the entire Democrat platform is entirely unsuitable for any Christian to support. God is Life+ Jesus is God in the Flesh. -MKO
  • Carleton - In Reply on Revelation 5 - 5 years ago
I have one worry in mass voting of any particular party. Why were some young girls buried alive in the 15th century only because they would not accept infant baptism as their faith? I would not want to align myself to the possibility of truth and untruth being mixed together as a witness to my faith in Jesus Christ who is and always will be True.
  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 5 - 5 years ago
Hi Rick, I believe the command 'do not kill' applies to individuals. I absolutely believe that supporting someone who is pro-abortion or pro-death in any other way is morally wrong. I think the individual would indeed be contributing to death and evil. For some, that issue alone is enough to vote on. Are you pro-life or pro-death, it's a simple choice. Sometimes one candidate is pro-Christianity and the other is against it. When you have multiple layers line up like this I would ask what Christian would vote for someone who wants to kill babies and harm Christianity?

I only see an exception to 'killing' if it's a governmental decision, defending law and order, to applying capital punishment of an evil murderer, for example, or defending themselves from further deaths. Sometimes they have to make a choice between 2 wrongs.
  • Rick Colombe on Revelation 5 - 5 years ago
I have a question for anyone to answer. God hates the shedding of innocent blood. We all know this from His Word. While keeping this in mind, should a bible believing, born again Christian support anyone that is pro choice? As an example, we have a two party country, while one is pro choice and the other pro life. So.... is God ok with a Christian who would support a pro choice party?

Look close and you will see that the one who passes the scroll is the church.

" he that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne"

" out of the throne proceeded .... VOICES..

    Plural.

God is never compared to a jewel elsewhere

    Saints are.

Later in revelation one of the VOICES says "praise our God"
  • Lyle Lee on Revelation 5:8 - 5 years ago
Here we see one sitting upon the throne with a book, the lamb slain from the foundation of the world comes to him to take the book out of his right hand, my problem with this event is the oneness movement, for how can Jesus be the Father sitting upon a throne, have Jesus as the lamb coming to him to take a book out of his hand while Jesus is sitting upon the throne? No wonder I believe in the godhead, what is commonly known as the trinity.

    Hebrews 8:4-5

For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things,

as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle:

See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

    Hebrews 8:3

For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

    Hebrews 8:2

A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

    Hebrews 8:1

Now of the things we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens.

    Revelation 5:10

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Jesus reigns on the right hand of the throne of God in the heavens; the born again believer reigns with the indwelling Holy Spirit as Kings and priests on the earth.

This is the pattern fulfilled until time is no more. Jesus on earth is reigning by his Holy Spirit in his Kings and Priests in the peace and order of Melchisedec.

In reply to Mishael I agree almost entirely with his arguements but I would add a caviat. I submit that the deep seated reason why the West (I particularly refer to the US and UK) have stumbled and unwitingly "engineered" their way into possibly becoming servile virtual vassel states to a burgeoning Chinese giant. China undoughtedly wishes to become the world master with its Godless religion and satanic ideology. The West must return to its root trust in the things of God and in doing so help itself by rejecting the headstrong desire of always trying to purchase the cheapest goods from abroad, predominently China, and begin to make its own goods even though initially it will cost us more. Be sure that if we allow China to master us prices of goods will rise exponentially. We will be heading for a new Dark Age as seen in the 1930's, lose our pride as once great Democratic caring countries and sink into an abbys of Godless theology. This has more than a close resemblance to Churchill's stirring speech in 1940 which inspired a nation to positive action and turn to the Lord for salvation. Surely we must do it again and very soon.

What do you think about these locust stories? Is it a plague?

    Jun 12, 2020

    What happens when locusts swarm?

Locusts continue to reproduce quickly while swarming. They will consume all the food in any given area and then migrate to seek another food source. locusts can travel over one hundred kilometers in a day, meaning they can cover a lot of area.

"Locusts do not honor political boundaries and can easily invade other adjacent countries," he said.

The locusts move with the wind currents and can go back and forth between different areas. He said the current swarms moved throughout Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia, and then moved up through Saudi Arabia and Yemen to Iran, Pakistan and India.

Exodus 10:15 - For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

Comment: I think it would be a very good thing to pray and ask God to spare USA from anything like this happening here.

I've been kinda concerned since I read a story recently about a million pounds of pork smuggled here, from China. President Trump stopped all shipments of meat from China; last year I think. The meat is contaminated with swine flu. We were buying their cheaper meat; and the Chinese were paying more money to buy our uninfected meat. This was written a month or so ago. I'm giving up BLT's :/ Hope Joe Biden will continue the sanctions?

I was curious if other kinds of plagues were going on besides COVID-19 you know?

Let's all get really serious about praying over our meals ok? "Bless and sanctify these gifts and make it clean to eat".

I care about you guys and gals. We have to lean into Jesus now.

Get your flu shot. It has the H1N1-2 strain that fights swine flu.

    Love You, Mishael

There is a sence, I feel, in not looking too intensly into the mystique of this amazing verse. Our wonder into something so unutterably beyond our puny imaginings can not even scratch the surfaces of such wondrous eclipsings of God's phenomenal plan for the world and the universe. See what over-embellished language I have had to conjure to begin to explain my tiny thinking on the subject. We surely have to capitulate our arguments entirely and throw ourselves into praise and worship of our great Maker and Redeemer.

See 2 Esdras 6:54-56. The children of Israel are Hebrews the abrahamic Covenant of Genesis 17 and 7 says if you will keep my law statutes Commandments in ordinances I will be your God and you will be my people. The 12 tribes of Israel all people of color only. According to Revelation 21 + 12 the Kingdom of Heaven is only Built For The 12 Tribes of Israel only. The letter J does not exist in the Hebrew language I'll father's name yahawah means he is he exists in Hebrew. Yahawahshi in hebrew means he is our salvation and deliver.er. Deuteronomy 28 48 + 49 the children of Israel was sent into slavery was a yoke of iron upon their neck. Only slaves ever had a yoke of iron around their neck that's a people of color. Revelation 1:15 Daniel 10:6 the son of man has skin that is liking until bronze burned in a furnace which is a dark brown skin man. This is the truth John 14:6 of these scriptures. Revelation 5:5 the son of man is no doubt the root of David tribe of Judah. Is the breath of life from God not spirit?

Wouldn't every breathing thing, created by God, therefore contain spirit?

Did God not create all of the animals?

    4. The Fire of God

    Hebrews 12:28-29

Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire.

    1 Peter 1:7

So that the tested genuineness of your faith-more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire-may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

    Daniel 7:9-10

"As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire. A stream of fire issued and came out from before him; a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened

This verse refers to a "stream of fire" that came from before God's fiery throne. Is it possible this stream comes from or leads to a..Lake of fire?

In the verses I've provided the scripture clearly teaches us that we are tested by fire, and saved through fire. Jesus' sacrafice on the cross purchased all men, paid for all their sin, and according to the scripture, missing the mark is to sin, and if Jesus meant to save all men, and fails to fufil that promise, he missed the mark, and that would make God a sinner. The whole world is in His hands, not mens hands.

    Ephesians 1:10

As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

    Revelation 5:13

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"

Every creature; that includes everyone on earth throughout all time, there are no exceptions.

  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 5:8 - 6 years ago
Ted, this is actually a very good question & I'm unsure whether an accurate answer can be given, simply because there's not a lot of information given, apart from what is learnt in Revelation.

If I look at each of the references on these 24 Elders, we see: they sat around God's Throne, in white raiment, wearing gold crowns. Jesus was seen in the midst of the Elders. They knew the people arrayed in white who stood around the Throne as those coming out of great tribulation. They were redeemed by God, so experienced His Salvation. They always fell before the Throne in adoration & worship.

What then do we make of their origin? Taking those Scriptures that speak of them, it seems that they could have comprised those saints of old (whether patriarchs, or apostles, or special leaders of the Churches). They wore crowns, of which Paul, Peter, James & John speak of in: Phil 4:1; 1 Thes 2:19; 2 Tim 2:5, 4:8; James 1:12; 1 Pet 5:4; Rev 2:10, signifying that they were recognized for their faithfulness & ministry on Earth. Their special position in the midst of God's Throne, unlike the other saints, indicates a place of recognition & privilege, but noting, they always fell before the One Who lives forever, in worship & praise for His Work of redemption.

So armed with those Scriptures on the Elders, one would have to form one's own opinion as to who they were specifically. They were certainly not identified with the angels or other beings in Heaven, but were there from the company of the redeemed.
