Linda, God is righteous. What Herod did in his anger was wicked;murder of innocent children.
Everything that happens is under the umbrella of Romans 11:33, but God tells his children to come boldly before the thrown and make prayer requests, prayers that are according to his will, he will hear.Praying for restoration is done in faith because God shows compassion and mercy.Trust in his mercy.

    V. 13 says "God cannot be tempted with evil." Isaiah 45:5-7 says that God creates evil. God created all things, including evil.
"Tempted" is not the same as creates. Romans 11:36 "For of him, through him, and to him are all things, to whom be glory forever, Amen." "all things" would include evil.

All that the Lord does;He does all things so that all men might know him. Remove yourselves from idols! Fear the Lord! Consider that God made himself known to Adam and Eve,he walked and talked with them in the Garden of Eden. After they sinned and ate from the tree of good and evil, they were afraid. Romans 11:33 "For of him and through him and to him are all things,to whom be glory forever.Amen"
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Mockingbird, How do you explain Romans 11:33 "For of Him, through Him, and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever." If ALL THINGS are of the Lord, it would have to include all the things you have listed.

Romans 11:33 "For of him, through him, and to him are all things: to whom be glory for ever.

To answer you Jo's,Please read Isaiah 55:8,9 and Romans 11:33,34. You cannot fanthom the nature and work of God.And God didnt put man on earth with Satan.Satan was overthrown from heaven due to his pride onto the earth.Read Isaiah 14:12-14,Ezekial 28:15-17,Rev.12:7-9.On earth he deceived Adam and Eve and sin originated which result in death and which means the separation between God and Man.In creation,God spoke and His Word brought those spoken things into existence. So everything, seen and unseen things were brought into existence by the Word of God.This word is Jesus Christ whom Paul said everything was created by Him and for Him.Hence we humans, been His inheritance,He became one of us to redeem us from sin and bring immortality to light. He accomplisd this upon his death and resurection when he defeated Satan who had the power over death-Heb.2:14-15,Rev.1:18.Now upon His return,he will punish Satan and those who refuse to obey him by sending them to eternal destruection. He will however glorify His Saint and we will assume His nature and be like him.He wl take us to heaven and there we will be with him forever.2Th1:8,9,1Jn.3:2,3,1Th.4:16-19,1Cor.15:51-54.Pls read all versus.

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Most people commenting on this verse fail to recognize the most fundamental premise of Biblical study application, and that is to "rightly divide the word of truth " per 2 Timothy 2:15. The Epistle Of James could not, for the most part, doctrinally apply to Christians in this present age of grace, because it implies salvation either by works or validated by them. It actually fits in better applied to believers in The Tribulation, see Revelation 12:17, 14 12 especially since it is addressed to Jewish believers, James 1:1. We find no where in the 13 certain Pauline Epistles, excluding Hebrews to appease those who have certain doubts, Paul The Apostle Of The Gentiles, see Romans 11:13, instructing us to anoint anyone for any reason. But I suppose if we were to grant that we could should anoint the sick, we should first observe a time of self examination, confession of personal faults these would be areas of inclined weaknesses, NOT SINS , and of course fervent effectual prayer. The only prayer that will save a lost Hell-bound sinner, is the one were he she admits their pitiful condition, and by faith receives The Lord Jesus Christ as their own personal Saviour. It has two distinct sides, repentance towards God for what you are and have done, and then faith in The Lord Jesus Christ for who He is and what He has done! See Acts 20:21. God speed.

Part 2 of 3: Gifts and the calling on God are without repentance, Romans 11: 29. This is why people who are not filled with the Holy Ghost God still perform miracles in their lives. Through their faith and because of his stripes we are healed. He did not say you had to be saved to get this benefit, Isaiah 53: 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed.

Without holiness no man shall see The Lord. Also, this chapter reminds us today that God is not through with Israel, he still remembers all his promises to them and will fulfill every one of them.

some people judge. GOD is the final judge. Thou we are CHRISTIANS we are to follow peace with all men without such no man will see the Lord. we have the good news we are suppose to preach the good news. When something is grafted unless pointed out you can hardly tell where the graft is. Now I say this because they call us step children. yet the word says that JESUS GAVE US POWER TO BECOME SONS AND DAUGHTER OF GOD. I MAYBE GRAFTED YET THE WORD OF GOD IS SO POWERFUL LIKE A TWO EDGE SWORD IT PLACED ME IN THE FAMILY OF GOD AND MADE ME A CHILD OF GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST AND THE PRECIOUS GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.

God 's wisdom and knowledge is His riches The Grace of God has given me the ability to share in a portion of His riches. All that He has and is , is mine to take hold of. My mere being cannot hold all that God is. But I have the earnest of His Spirit and I can know all things. I will always be getting to know my Lord even through out eternity. Praise God for Holy Spirit that dwells within me.

  • Ar on Romans 11 - 11 years ago
Reading this chapter today, I praised the Lord for saving us the Gentiles by giving partial blindness to His own people for our sake. But as it says in verse 26 all Israel shall be saved....We have to pray for Israel and her people for these very difficult times that they are going through when almost all the World has turned against them. In Gen 12 God says that He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. so let 's pray for the peace and salvation of Israel, which is so near.
  • Patrick on Romans 11:25 - 11 years ago
"Fulness of the Gentiles be come in " means that when the Romans have completely captured and overrun the city of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel, then the day of Israel has ended, and the day or fulness of the Gentiles has begun. The teaching that the times of the Gentiles began back in 500 or 600 BC is only imagined by man. From the beginning of Israel, to the end of it, were the times of Israel, not the Gentiles.

Romans 11 36. That means every person, every corporation, every stock bond, everything on this planet belongs to God. You don 't really own anything. You need to realize, God owns it all, so that 's why you have to look to Him to have all your needs met.

  • Paul on Romans 11 - 12 years ago
it does not matter what one believes this scripture says; it only matters what one knows this scripture says; truth is not based on what you believe; but on what you know without a doubt; it is a fact that the lord has come for the jews and gentiles alike;for it is written means old test and jesus is the deliverer that has come for them and there will not be another time for them as god and paul sais they please not god but still can come and be born again like all those that trust the lord only for salvation; he is that deliverer.
  • God is in you. on Romans 11:29 - 12 years ago
I can claim it with ease mark! and so can all who are saved. Here's a new "perspective" with ALL advantages: JESUS IS IN YOU AND GOD TOO (since they are one) We ALSO receive the Holy Spirit upon being saved who is also one with the Father. >>>> 1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.>>> also see ACTS 8:8 and elsewhere on the Holy Spirit! Peace.
