Paul is saying to us is not about you alone,God the creator of all things should be given adoration for who we are in the Kingdom,that's why he's pleading with us to give back to the giver of our lives.

The buttom line is that u don't own your body,so you should live your life for God at all time. Your physical and spiritual apperance should always show that you are for God for him to recognise you as his own also.

Action on verse 9 is mandatory for the fulfillment of the other principals in living this life

We all within the body of Christ are called to minister truth in Christ.

One thing is clear if our mind is not renewed,out of it would come all sorts of human reasoning,all kinds of old thougths all kind of negativity, all kinds of guilt and condemnation,and all this is connected to our emotions, our emotions they carry a lot of wounds. Thats why the Bible writes our minds is the battle ground where the enemy has access.The enemy's goal is to remind you of the old you,this is where the confusion starts.But God says you are a new creation,old things have passed.the answer we find in Eph.1:17 The moment we start identifying who we are and we recieve God's knowledge through spiritual understanding,it becomes a revelation, we acknowledge our oneness with Christ Jesus.Having the mind of Christ would confirm our newness , new mind,new creation

This passage is all about maturity in the knowledge of the Most High GOD because the Psalmist asked in chapter 119 verse 9 of Psalms , how can young man keep his way pure? By living according to his word. Really its to live according to words amen.

Romans chapter 12 is a profound and powerful chapter. God's word enlightens, chastens, uplifts and strengthens the people of God. Romans 12:16 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly.... Have you ever picked up the dirt from the earth? Place it in your hand and blow on it. It literally disappears in a blink of an eye. That's why we should not think highly of ourselves. We are nothing but dust. Dust we are and dust we shall return. Instead, we are to humble ourselves before God, as Christ humbled Himself and took on sinful flesh to condemn sin in the flesh. We should have Christ's spirit dwelling in us that we be able to walk in this present world without going after the world and all the things Satan is offering. Remember, he offered all the kingdoms to Jesus if He would just bow. Jesus refused. Just as we too must refuse.

roman's 12 to me has all the tool's of the spirit to obtain, for growth in christ, almost like we are without exscuse, to say we have an exscuse, or to justify our action's, we need to put on the spirit of Christ and therefore not have any dealing's with the world, does that mean no TV or music or time with anybody that's all in the world, I think not if we then have what the spirit is called in galation self controll we are not bothered by these thing's GOD help us!

I feel that the Apostle Peter is getting a bad rap; and that’s not fair! While I appreciate Paul and his writings and recognize him as a great teacher and prophet, I cannot help but notice that even after his conversion, God “was not finished” with him. He appears to be both, boastful (in chapter 1), and angry. Maybe, that’s what they call “righteous indignation”? The transition from Old Testament to New Testament after Christ’s ascension was a work in progress: it did not happen overnight, but lasted quite a few years. As the Holy Spirit instructed the apostles, they, in turn presented the revelations to the believers, either orally or in the written form, “growing in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” ( 2 Peter 3:18). Not all apostles were “enlightened” of the same subject, or at the same time. So, we have “gaps” in time and teachings. And in the case of “circumcision” issue, (which Paul is dealing with in Galatians), the apostles had to have a “congress” at Jerusalem in order to decide what to do, as shows Acts 15. Even Paul’s speech was a work in progress… The language used in Galatians 1:8 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that, which we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED,” and Galatians 2:12 “I would they were EVEN CUT OFF which trouble you”, leaves something to be desired. Jesus says in Luke 6: “Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you”, verse 28 “BLESS THEM THAT CURSE YOU, and pray for them which despitefully use you”. Even Apostle Paul agrees with that in Romans 12:14: “Bless them which persecute you: bless, and CURSE NOT.” His statements about “James, Cephas (Peter), and John, WHO SEEMED to be pillars” in the church ( Galatians 2:9), borders on arrogance. I feel like telling him: “Paul, get a life; THEY WERE THE PILLARS OF THE CHURCH while you were persecuting it!” True, they were simple fishermen, not trained at the feet of Gamaliel like you, but they had spent three and a half years at the feet of Jesus: The Greatest Teacher of all times. And, not only that, on the Day of Pentecost they received the power of the Holy Spirit: to preach, to teach and heal. Yes, Paul was a great apostle, but Apostle John was a giant: he was not only trained by Jesus and wrote the Gospel and the Epistles that bear his name, but he received countless visions from Him and wrote the Book of Revelation. And Apostle Peter, he was entrusted with “taking care of His sheep” by Jesus Himself. Also, Paul’s boldness expressed towards Apostle Peter, was uncalled for: “But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed” ( Galatians 2:11). Basically he was blaming Peter for the troubles in Galatia. Too bad Peter had no chance to defend himself. I’m wondering how much did Paul’s criticism of Peter, help those churches… But what really takes the cake, is his advice (good advice though) in Galatians 5:13 “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.’ 15 But IF YE BITE AND DEVOUR ONE ANOTHER, take heed that ye are not consumed one of another.” Sometimes it’s good to take seriously our own advice...

And inner spirit. There is also a second step to obtaining a renewed and transformed mind,body and spirit. We a a chosen. Generation, we have to allow our self to obtain god nature. We have to ask him to allow us to bear the fruits of his spirit and practice on how to deny ourselves in pur daily walk with him. Its a daily process but a process that bring results.

Paul was actually talking to christians. There is the tendency that our bodies could be used to please the devil because of the corrupt world we are. There is the need for watchfullness and prayerfullness to ensure that will live the life that pleases God. A life in Christ is defferent from a life in sin. Therefore, it is very important we honor God with our bodies continously.

If you do not transform your mind you will never enter the kingdom of God with a worldly mindset.

Romans 12:2, Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, Stop! Then I read it again. What is that good? Then I asked myself what is that good? It's being acceptable to God? It's being in the perfect will of God. But we have to prove it by renewing our mind, and be in the world but not of the world. And if we can prove that, that is what is that good. Amen.

This passage is about Christian maturity. We are not to be conformed to this world, but are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Love not the world, or the things of this world. All that is in the world, the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. The world and its lust will pass away, but whoever does the will of the Father shall abide forever. So abide in Christ, for He is the vine, and we are the branches. We can only bear fruit as we allow the Holy Spirit to control us, and produce the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, meekness, self control, against such there is no law.

I would like to know about Romans 12:2.

Romans 12 tells you how to act like a Christian.

What GOD is saying to us, is that we all are the same, that we should love one another; no matter who or what they have done in life. GOD is love.

When reading this chapter, it's telling us to be humble, love one another and do good, in other words, be like Christ. Lord help me to be just like you in all my ways and thoughts.

Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.

This falls under commandments 5-10, we must love each other no matter what they do to us.

God is never wrong, in verse 28 we need to ask the spirit of God bear witness with us Christians, it's not a matter of judging. When we read Romans 12:2 it tells us not to be changed by the things of this world, not even the tattoos as they are having meaning. So as child of God I don’t promote it. Peace!
