Discuss Romans 15

    Repentance.

Repentance often involves an acknowledgement of wrongdoing and an awareness of one's limitation.

We all is born into this world with a fallen nature and must be born again.

Being born again means being born from above. (Born of Christ Spirit)

Israel was to repent from dead works as seen throughout the new testament particularly from the book of Hebrews.

    Especially Hebrews 6:1-4.

Israel inability to produce fruit is not a testimony of Israel, it is a lesson to all!

This shows the whole world as they look in that while God is in their midst and carrying them on eagles wings it doesn't change the heart of man.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4.

    SALVATION.

    We preach repentance with salvation.

The key to repentance is not what you turn from.

    It's who you turn to!

    Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus came to cleanse the inside the cup with the outside!

    More on this later.

    God bless

    Hi.

I don't know what to call you but welcome to the site and thanks for inquiring!

    You asked;

Where in the Bible does it the word say that the old Testament or even the law was given only to the Hebrew children or the Jew?

First I would like to add Romans 15:4 "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope"

Here's what you have been looking for.

Romans 9:1-4 reads, "I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

    Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the ( COVENANTS, AND THE GIVING OF THE LAW,) AND THE SERVICE OF GOD, AND THE PROMISES;

The law is called the "Ministry of condemnation" which refers to the Old Covenant, particularly the Mosaic Law.

We find that in 2 Corinthians 3:7-9.

It was called this because it exposed sin and pronounced judgment, highlighting mans inability to achieve righteousness by their own efforts.

Israel displayed that as any other people would have.

Without this failure and documentation we wouldn't even know it and wouldn't turn away from our own unfruitful efforts.

This ministry displayed even with God in their midst and as a husband to them man's nature remains fallen.

    There is no rebirth!

One must be born again by the Spirit of Christ who ushered in the new covenant by his blood shed on the cross.

    God bless.

Hello "Chuckles44" is true as it says, and this we must understand that this was written to men and women in the church context. As many many have distorted. We are going to talk about the woman here: An unusually weak, uneducated individual, (did they go to school at all, it must be allowed to ask yourself)? A person who can serve. A person to and subordinate. A mother, a nurturer, it's allways the woman's fault, and mm. At first, there were only men in the churches. But Jesus probably solved that problem. Because He was followed by many women. And Paul also had many sisters. So this is probably more proof that the church Timothy ruled over, had some difficulties with authority in the church during meetings for example. It is not only women who talk over each other at meetings. Many men interrupt and speak too. Unfortunately, narrow-minded men are often the cause of divisions and apostasy in churches. But if we are going to look at it, remember that a man is called a fool, and much, much more if you look in Proverbs. So my advice is that you overcome the thought of and see this negative attitude that can be distorted to underestimate and discriminate against women. In the eyes of God, we all stand equal before God. Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. That is what is right. Romans 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. There may be a few more who have some good words on this question. I hope you have gotten some answers, and you are welcome to ask any more questions you may have. Love you in Jesus.

To all that be in Christ,

The Bible in its entirety is the Word of God, and every part of it is for us. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals God's nature, His righteousness, His dealings with mankind, and His unfolding plan through history. Paul reminds us in Romans 15:4 that "whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." Likewise, 2 Timothy 3:16 affirms that "all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable." This makes the whole of the Bible essential for our instruction, encouragement, and understanding.

Yet, while the whole Bible is for us, not every portion is addressed directly to the Church, the Body of Christ. The Old Testament was primarily written to Israel under the covenants and the law. The Gospels show Christ ministering to "the lost sheep of the house of Israel" ( Matthew 15:24). The early chapters of Acts continue that kingdom program, as Peter and the other apostles called Israel to repent so that God would send Jesus back to establish the promised kingdom ( Acts 3:19-21). These scriptures remain deeply valuable, but they are not written as direct marching orders for the Body of Christ in this present dispensation.

It is in Paul's thirteen epistles that we find teaching written to us-the Church, the Body of Christ. Paul was given the revelation of the mystery ( Ephesians 3:1-9; Colossians 1:25-27), truths not made known in other ages, specifically concerning Jew and Gentile united in one body through faith in Christ alone. In Romans through Philemon we see our doctrine, walk, and destiny laid out clearly. So while the whole Bible is for our benefit, we must recognize that only Paul's writings are directly addressed to us, giving us our distinct instructions in this age of grace.

    Grace and Peace

    Hello Free,

Thank you so much. Your kindness is such a blessing!

I leave you with Romans 15:13: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, for you to abound in hope, in power of the Holy Spirit. (Literal Translation).

We find hope as God's Spirit empowers us in Christ. We're told not to please ourselves, but rather to love our neighbor, which would be you and I, and all other believers. We are to love one another for the good, that is, the good in Christ!

My dear sister, I send my love back to you in Christ Jesus!

    God Bless!!!

Did the 12 apostles of Christ fulfill Matthew 28:19? Read Carefully!

There is no definitive historical evidence in Scripture showing that all 12 apostles of Christ traveled throughout the entire known world to preach the gospel. However, church tradition, early writings, and some historical sources provide accounts-though often inconsistent or unverifiable-of where individual apostles may have gone after Pentecost.

    Here's a breakdown:

    Biblical Record

In the book of Acts, only a few apostles are mentioned in detail after Pentecost:

Peter: Preaches in Jerusalem, visits Samaria, and goes to Joppa and Caesarea ( Acts 8-10).

    John: Accompanies Peter ( Acts 3, 8).

James (the brother of John): Martyred early ( Acts 12:2).

Paul (not one of the 12) becomes the main focus from Acts 13 onward.

There is no biblical record showing that the other apostles (e.g., Bartholomew, Simon the Zealot, Thaddeus) traveled widely or took missionary journeys outside of Judea.

    Church Tradition & Historical Accounts

Some later Christian writings and traditions claim broader travels:

Thomas: Said to have gone to India (supported by strong local tradition among the St. Thomas Christians).

Andrew: Believed to have preached in Scythia, around the Black Sea (modern Ukraine and Georgia).

Bartholomew: Said to have gone to Armenia or India.

James (son of Zebedee): Martyred early, but later traditions say his remains went to Spain (Santiago de Compostela).

Matthew: Possibly went to Ethiopia or Persia.

However, these traditions are not in the Bible and vary in historical credibility. Many were recorded centuries later and are difficult to verify.

    Paul's Unique Role

Only Paul is consistently shown in Scripture as traveling extensively-through Asia Minor, Greece, and Rome, with plans to go to Spain ( Romans 15:24). He calls himself "the apostle of the Gentiles" ( Romans 11:13), and his journeys are recorded in great detail in Acts 13-28.

    Acts 20:25

"And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more."

    Part 1

The Gospel of the Kingdom is for the Jews and the Gospel of Grace is for the Gentiles.

We start with the Gospel of the Kingdom on earth for the Jews for the New Jerusalem.

    Matthew 4:23

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching thegospelofthekingdom, and healing all mannerofsickness and all mannerofdisease among the people.

The gospel of the kingdom required

    Matthew 24:14

And thisgospelofthekingdomshall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall repentance.

Jesus Christ told the Twelve Disiples not to go to the Gentiles with the gospel of the kingdom.

    Matthew 10:5-7

5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jesus Christ job was to minister to the Jews for in the gospel of the kingdom.

Why should we follow Paul ? ? But what about following Jesus ? ?

All Twelve Disiples followed Jesus earthly ministry in the four gospels for the kingdom of heaven on earth.

    Matthew 4:19

And he saith unto them,Followme, and I will make you fishers of men.

    Mark 1:18

And straightway they forsook their nets, andfollowed him.

    Luke 5:11

And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, andfollowed him.

    John 1:37

And the two disciples heard him speak, and theyfollowed Jesus.

Why should we follow Apostle Paul ? ?

Jesus Christ in Heaven did say that Apostle Paul was a chosen vessel for the Gentiles.

    Acts 9:15

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is achosenvesselunto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

Jesus Christ is the author of the whole Bible.

    Hebrews 12:2

Looking unto Jesus theauthorand finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus Christ wants us to follow Apostle Paul's epistle for doctrine and Salvation.

    1 Corinthians 11:1

Be yefollowers ofme, even as I also am of Christ.

Apostle Paul's doctrine is from Jesus Christ in Heaven.

    Romans 16:17

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to thedoctrinewhich ye have learned; and avoid them.

Apostle Paul said that we can always learn from the Old Testament and the caring down kingdom of gospel in the four gospels. The death of Jesus Christ started the New Testament

    Hebrews 9:16

For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of thetestator.

    Romans 15:4

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for ourlearning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

I follow Apostle Paul's epistle in Jesus Christ for Doctrine and Salvation.

    What is a Gentile ? ?

A Gentile is definitely not called a unsaved person. A Gentile is a none physical Jew living on this planet earth. According to God in Heaven, we have the Jews and we have the rest of the people that are Gentiles living on this earth. Jews are part of the Twelve Tribes of Israel .

    Genesis 49:28

All these are thetwelvetribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

The Gentiles never had the Law in the Old Testament.

    Romans 2:14

For when theGentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Because the Gentiles did not believe in God in the Old Testament, they were called blasphemy.

    Romans 2:24

For the name of God is blasphemed among theGentiles through you, as it is written.

The Gentiles had there own righteousness.

    Romans 9:30

What shall we say then? That theGentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

Jesus Christ called the Gentiles dogs.

    Matthew 15:27

And she said, Truth, Lord: yet thedogseat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Because the fall of Israel, the Gentiles are blessed with the gospel of grace.

    Romans 11:11

I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto theGentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

The Gentiles now has the gospel.

    Romans 15:16

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to theGentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of theGentilesmight be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

    Hi Giannis,

Thanks, brother, I'm not the best at putting on paper my understanding. I know some Scriptures refer to the Holy Spirit as he, but the Spirit is the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God dwells in us, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 3:16 and, more. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that does the work of God, Romans 15:19, Jesus did the miracles by the Holy Spirit, Matthew 12:28, Luke 4:18, Acts 10:38, Hebrews 2:4.

Jesus said the words He spoke were not His words but the Fathers and God did the works, this was done by the Holy Spirit through Jesus. John 14:10. Jesus said the Holy Spirit/Comforter proceedeth from the Father John 15:26, Jesus said the Holy Ghost will not speak of himself but what he is told, so the Holy Spirit is under the direction of the Father and Jesus, John 16:13.

All the salutations are from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is not in any salutations. In Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb is the temple of it. No Holy Spirit, what I see in Scripture is the Holy Spirit is the conduit that God works through and now Jesus as well.

I hope this gives you enough info to see how I see the Holy Spirit and I know that is not what many believe. I do not want to offend and I hope I don't, but this is what I see in Scripture. I do not see the Holy Spirit as a person but as the power of God that surrounds this earth by which God and Jesus dwell in us to communicate, guide, and comfort us.

    God bless,

Tithing is the most controversial thing in the church today. Nobody wants to go broke giving a tithe. The Old Testament can give us a guide line, but it was given to the Jews to follow.

    Deuteronomy 14:23

And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.

The Jews were to follow the law to tithe.

    Hebrews 7:5

And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham

Churches will use this verse to make people feel guilty of Tithing.

    Malachi 3:8-10

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Apostle Paul teaches us that the Old Testament and the four gospels are for learning because Jesus Christ had completed His mission and nailed the Law on the cross and all our sins .

    Romans 15:4

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for ourlearning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

The New Testament teaches us how to give a offering by the heart, without madness and anger in the Lord Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul teaches us how to give without the law.

    2 Corinthians 9:7

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

When we look at the Bible, there's 66 books written and Apostle Paul wrote more books, that is incredible. Why would God pick Paul when he had Twelve Apostles. The answers lie on Apostle Paul's epistle, most people don't study and read .

We don't believe in Apostle Paul for Salvation, he is just a man led by the Holy Spirit. We believe the gospel that Jesus Christ told Paul to write for Salvation, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

No one ever said Apostle Paul is another Jesus, all we are saying that Apostle Paul is our Apostle for the Gentiles in this age of grace.

    Romans 11:13

For I speak to youGentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of theGentiles, I magnify mine office:

    Romans 11:25

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of theGentilesbe come in.

We that are saved follow Jesus Christ for Salvation and doctrine, but it will have to be in Apostle Paul's epistle, and the rest of the Bible for learning.

    1 Corinthians 11:1

Be yefollowers ofme, even as I also am of Christ.

We can learn from the Old Testament and the four gospels.

    Romans 15:4

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for ourlearning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

The Bible is cut and dry and simple to understand Salvation if we rightly dividing the word of truth . Apostle Paul is the one teaching us today.

    2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

May God pour His Spirit upon this ministry so all may understand the truth and grow in grace with Jesus Christ.

Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 may the truth be revealed to all

I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for this KJV Bible ministry website to help us learn and pray one for another in love through the Holy Spirit of God. We are not perfect, but Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We don't judge, but the Lord Jesus Christ . We must all love because Jesus Christ first love us.

The four gospels are the extension of the Old Testament for the promises and covenants of the fathers.

    Romans 15:8

Now I say thatJesusChrist was aministerof the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

We are living by grace and nolonger under the law for Salvation.

    Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under thelaw, but undergrace.

Christians don't have licence to sin, but to follow the word in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches and guides us in truth.

    1 Corinthians 2:13

    (Romans Part 34):

Romans 15:26 - For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution, and the word contribution is the word Koinonia. It is where we get our word fellowship. A contribution for the poor saints. It should literally read "For the poor of the saints," which are at Jerusalem.

Paul went through Macedonia and Achaia, and he says "You know, we got some saints over there in Jerusalem that are in poverty. Not only is there a famine, but they are cut off because of their belief in Christ. They don't have a lot of finances, and they don't have a lot of help. Their families won't help them. This would really bring unity in the body of Christ if you Gentiles could give a contribution, and I take it to the Jews in Jerusalem and tell them here's from your brethren the Gentiles."

    Romans 15:30 - Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

    He says my appeal is that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

The term "strive together" is one compound Greek word. It's the word SUN (pronounced Soon), which means with, and the word AGONA, which means agony. Agonize with me! In fact, the word is used for wrestling. When you see two wrestlers flopping around on the mat, they are agonizing together. So, he says "Join with me in prayer, agonize together with me in prayers to God for me."

Romans 15:33 - Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Now the God of peace, and notice that the word "be" is in italics. It's that way in the scriptures, but the verb is not "be." It should be "is." It's a statement of fact. It literally reads, "Now the God of peace IS with you all. Amen.

    (Romans Part 33):

Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

He says, now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. The cause: And the word "that" actually means toward. Toward the goal that you might abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Isn't that great? No covenants and no promise, but for us, we find hope as God's Spirit empowers us in Christ. So, we're told not to please ourselves, but rather to love our neighbor. Love him for the good, that is, the good in Christ!

Romans 15:14 - And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

In three areas of his life, the first one is in the preaching of Paul. Paul says, and I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness. And again, this comes from the root AGATHOS, the Spiritual good. But these next two phrases describe what he means by Spiritual good.

Having been filled with all knowledge. That's a Perfect Tense in the Greek text. These people are not ignorant. They are filled with knowledge. And being able to admonish one another. The word admonish means to warn, literally place in the mind or warn people.

So, he's telling them that they are doctrinally sound and that they are filled with the knowledge of God. They just needed to be taught a little more exact through Paul's writings. But he says I'm convinced that you have enough knowledge of God's word and the truth, and enough maturity that you can admonish one another through the use of the word.

    (Romans Part 32):

Romans 15:2 - Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Let every one of us please his neighbor. The word neighbor is the closest person to you at any given time. It doesn't mean just your next-door neighbor. It's anybody that is close to you at any given time.

The cause for this command: For his good and to edification. The word good is the word AGATHOS for spiritual good.

Please your neighbor. How do I do that? For his spiritual good to build him up. Again, edification is a construction term that means to build a house. Whatever is best for that person spiritually to develop their relationship with the Lord.

Romans 15:5 - Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

Now the God of patience (HUPOMONE), and again that's remaining under, and consolation (encouragement), grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: Likeminded towards one other! Well, what is the example? According to Christ Jesus. He's the example!

Now the word mind for "likeminded" is the word PHRONEO. We get our English term frame of mind and attitude from this Greek word. We are to have the same attitude, the same goal, and we are to be likeminded one toward another.

In Philippians 2:5, the same word was used about Jesus. Here's the command, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." The book of Philippians was written about fellowship. Some think it was written about joy, but it is actually about fellowship. That's what Philippians was written for. Paul says that the believers ought to be one in fellowship.

They ought to be likeminded. That doesn't mean that we believe the same thing and we think the same words and the same thoughts all the time together. What it means is we have the same frame of mind. And we find that Jesus was used as the example. What was His attitude when He came into this existence here?

    (Romans Part 31b):

    Romans 15:1 Continuation

It is a burden to carry. If you have to be sensitive to one or more people, and to carry their weaknesses and their views, it is a burden. And we are to carry it! That's what it boils down to. You carry your own load, but the heaviness of somebody else's load, help them. But you are responsible to carry your own.

The older believer, a Christian matures to where they can start handling their own freight and the weight of that load. And they get to a point to where they can carry their own freight, but they can start helping other people down this pilgrim road that people are having a tough time walking.

So, we that are strong, we are continually indebted to carry the weaknesses of the ones who are without power, and not to please ourselves. It is hard to do in our society. Our culture and our society encourage self-centeredness. We're a society that seeks pleasure. And we're told not to please ourselves.

The book of Romans (Constitution of the Christian faith)

    (Romans Part 31a):

Romans 15:1 - We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

First of all, the classification. It says, we then that are strong. Romans 14:1 started off with "to the one who is weak with respect to the faith." Here it says to we who are strong. Paul considers himself to be a strong believer.

There are only two kinds. There's a weak believer and a strong believer. That's it! We then that are strong, that's a classification. Here's the concept: What are we to do? We ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. What a verse!

The word ought is an old English word that has to do with indebtedness. We are indebted. In the Greek, this is what is called a Present Active Imperative Indicative which means we are to continue to be indebted and obligated to those who are weaker. It is a continuous obligation. Our obligation is to bear the infirmities of the weak.

The word infirmities ASTHENEMATA means weakness. And the word weak ADUNATON means without power. They have no spiritual strength. We are not talking about somebody who is physically weak. We are talking about somebody who is spiritually weak. But we are to bear the infirmities of the weak. This is the same word used in Galatians Chapter 6 where it says to bear one another's burdens. This word actually means to carry. It doesn't mean to tolerate younger believers. It means to shoulder the load. Help carry their burdens, and to not please ourselves.

    (Acts Part 49):

Acts 22:15 - For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

This is a great verse as a definition for the word witness. We don't get this by reading our English text. In the Greek text, the word witness is MARTOUS, which is where we get our word Martyr from. It also is a judicial term like some of the other terms Paul uses.

A witness is somebody who can share "What thou hast seen and heard." In Romans 15:18, Paul says "I will not speak except those things which Christ has worked out in me."

You're not a witness unless you know it to be real. Also, the reason why MARTOUS, or martyr is used for witness is because in biblical times, your death, your martyrdom is the testimony that Jesus Christ is real. No one is going to give up their life for a religious system that's not real.

Acts 22:16 - And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Some people use this verse to prove that this is the order or process of salvation. It says arise and be baptized so they say you have to be water baptized first. Secondly, and wash away thy sins, they say that's what baptism is for. And then thirdly, calling on the name of the Lord. The problem with that theory is that the term calling on the name of the Lord is an Aorist Participle.

    Here's how it literally reads:

Be baptized for the washing away of your sins, AFTER having called upon the name of the Lord. Which means calling upon the name of the Lord happens first, and then you go out and be baptized to display and express the washing away of your sins.

Baptism is an external testimony of the internal work of the Spirit of God. So, when I submit to believer's baptism (water baptism), it is a testimony. It is an external, outward testimony of what God's Spirit has done internally when He saved me.

    GOD ALL WISE

    Pt. 8

at some later time, after the fullness of the elect Gentiles are saved, the Gentiles will be used to share the gospel with the Jews that they may be saved in the same way as the Gentiles, by God's mercy. No one can pridefully say anything about their election because every saved person is saved by the work of God in Christ and come to God with repentance and faith in humbleness of heart.

Vs. 32 is kind of a clincher,

"For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon them."

Every elect person comes to Jesus as a sinner who was in unbelief until they are regenerated by the same Spirit, whether Jew or Gentile, for it is those of the faith of Abraham who are true Israel. ( Gal. 3:28-29)

God's wisdom in consigning every human over to disobedience from Adam up until the last person to be born before Jesus returns rules out any other means of being reconciled to God except by God's mercy. Not because you are an Israelite or a Gentile. Not because you are smart or powerful or noble. Not because you desire to seek God before being regenerated, because no one can seek God without this work of the Holy Spirit which enables one to seek God's mercy and receive it in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every elect person is dependent on God's mercy, not anything we do. We will forever boast in God's mercy, which is God's ultimate goal in saving sinners, that the glory of His mercy and grace will be fully expressed and manifested in the lives of the saints.

    Romans 15:7-9

"Wherefore, receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers, And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy, as it is written," For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and laud Him, all ye peoples."

Soft as the voice of an angel, Breathing a lesson unheard,

    Hope with a gentle persuasion, Whispers her comforting word;

Wait till the darkness is over, Wait till life's tempest is done,,

Hope for the sunshine tomorrow, After the shower is gone.

Whispering hope, O how welcome Thy voice,

Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice.

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 God Bless :)

    Chris,

    Part 2

God made Jesus Lord, Acts 2:36, made is thee Greek word ginomai that means to come into being, to happen, to become. This was foreordained before the foundation of the world and this Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world, 1 Peter 1:19-20 Revelation 13:8, foreordained the Greek word proginosko means to know beforehand to appoint or decree beforehand.

I see too many Scriptures that do not agree with the doctrine. I hope this makes sense. This is Scripture without man's knowledge or wisdom 1 Corinthians 1:22 Jeremiah 10:10 10 Malachi 2:10 Mark 12:32

    Paul wrote these; Romans 3:30 Romans 15:6 1 Corinthians 8:6 2 Corinthians 1:3 2 Corinthians 11:31 Ephesians 1:3 Ephesians 1:17 Ephesians 3:14 Ephesians 4:6 Colossians 1:3 1 Timothy 2:5

Peter wrote this; 1 Peter 1:3

These are Jesus's words Himself; Matthew 27:46 Same in Mark 15:34 John 14:28 John 17:3 John 20:17 Revelation 3:12

What this says to me, there is only one true God who is the God and Father of Jesus,

These Scriptures are clear without our wisdom or knowledge do not agree with the doctrine of the Trinity. I do thank you and again I hope you do not consider me a Gnostic that would be sad, they are more of a philosophical like the immortal soul came from Greek philosophy, I am believer and follower of Jesus our Lord and savior.

    God bless,

    Kinsman Redeemer.

    Part 5.

Boaz made sure that extra droppings were left for Ruth and Naomi to pick up.

Naomi gave specific instructions to Ruth on how to secure back the property of Naomi's husband's family, and gain an inheritance by marrying the kinsman and bearing children.

During the harvest festival there was a procedure whereby after Boaz had went to sleep on the floor of the grain threshing floor (so as to protect the grain that they had thrashed, separating the wheat from the chaff), Ruth was to go to sleep at his feet, and cover up with the hem of his overcoat.

Ruth completed this, and during the night Boaz awoke, and she petitioned him to marry her under the law of Levirate marriage.

Boaz agreed, but determined that there was another kinsman closer in relationship to her.

Therefore, Boaz approached the individual, and managed to obtain the right of the kinsman redeemer ( Deut. 25:5-11).

In doing so, this gave him the right to purchase back the land for Naomi's lineage and raised up children for Ruth and her inheritance as one of the tribes of Israel.

    Romans 15:4 states:

"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."

It is in understanding that everything in God's Word is therefore for a purpose, and everything that God has communicated, especially those things that seem mundane are there as object lessons to teach us - In this case to set up a prophetic role that had two functions which the Messiah would fulfill - wherein Israel could recognize your Messiah.

God set up the institution of the kinsman redeemer in order to produce a type, a model of what was necessary for Jesus Christ to do in order to die for the sins of the world.

    See Part 6.
