    How can the gifts of the spirit or the fruit of the spirit operate in a person when there is no word of god in them.

    The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit. The same with Christ, He being God in the flesh with us. The Trinity is God--Christ- The Holy Spirit. Same entity, different "offices". Check Isa.45:18 "I am the LORD and there is none else.
