Gigi This does not reguire an answer and I'm not looking for one but why would God ine the old testament when the children of israel were up against unbelieving tribes in the land of canaan did he give the order in some cases to wipe them all out. In some cases it was wipe out human and animal, as i said not loking for and don't expect a response.

Rick, I think that God commanded the Israelites to do this because the wickedness of the Canaanites had come to fullness in God's wisdom and wanted the whole Canaanite people removed from the area that God had promised the Israelites. So, it was to judge the Canaanites, but also to remove the bloodline from the area so that the Israelites would not intermarry with them and be easily pulled into their idolatrous practices.

Gigi I understand this because all over the old testament the wicked are known as useless which in genesis with the flood the only righteous man on the planet was Noah so God knew he had to clean house, we are on the same page just stating a little differently, the grace in the old testament is there are time when people came to children of israel and said we want your God His way that's grace.
