    How did Jesus look
  • Chris - In Reply - 11 months ago
Hi Teddy45. The Bible does not tell us about the appearance of Jesus, nor for that matter, of others. But we can assume that the seed that God had placed in Mary, to be born into the world as Jesus the Son of God, would not be so different or standing out from others of His day. He probably had the appearance, skin tone, & wore clothing similar to others of the Middle East. A little glimpse however, is seen in Isaiah 53:2, "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him." We know this verse/chapter is prophetical about the coming One, Jesus; and it tells us that His appearance would be as a normal Man in that day, not exceptionally handsome or outstanding that anyone should be drawn to Him for that reason. Rather, that all would & should be drawn to Him for His Words of Truth, His sinless impeccable Life, & of course His sacrificial death for all.
