I am considering suicide and so close to actually hanging myself. I hope you don't mind a bit of a long story.

I was just a normal kid up until 12 years old and have been the loser of the family since. I've always been the introvert so I never fit in with anybody and never dated despite how much I wanted to. I've never been employed no matter how many jobs I've applied to whether it be in-person or online. I wasted 8 years in college, graduating with a Computer Science degree but never landed a career and only got increasing student debt out of it. I ended up living with my mother all the way to my early 30s but was able to live alone for 5 years, expecting to get a job within that time. But it ended in failure every time but I still at least made some money via gigs but they weren't enough to live off of. On March of this year, I ended up being forced to move out of America and into Puerto Rico with my mother and a mentally-abusive uncle. Puerto Rico has far less opportunities and everything is foreign to me. I live in the middle of nowhere, don't speak Spanish nor want to, everything is far away, all that made me keep living content is not there anymore, there's zero opportunities and jobs here, the gigs I had don't even work here and they refuse to employ me because I'm not on American soil. Every day has been agony and feel like I will lose my mind. All I want to do is go back to America and get a job but that seems impossible now.

For the record, I have prayed to God endlessly for 20 years, multiple times a day even, just for me to live on my own and be able to be independent. But I got no answers. I'm just a 37 year old loser white guy who will never marry, get a job, and is going to die in misery despite crying out to the Lord for so long.

I made this account on this site because I'm so desperate for some solution. I don't even care if you pray I die this minute. I am just so tired and I have a noose ready in case the time comes.

    Dear BRZ

how are you today? Many are praying for you.
  • BRZ - In Reply - 1 year ago
I might be able to return to America via Airbnb but I will have to go look for jobs like I have a criminal record (and honestly I'm no different from those comes to those guys, when speaking of status). My future is still very uncertain but at least I got another chance at trying to get out of rock-bottom.

    Dear BRZ

I do hope and pray that God inn His mercy and love will open doors soon for you to return to the USA and help you in beginning again here to gain employment, housing, and a Christian fellowship that helps you grow in Christ Jesus.

I hope you have a bible to read or can get one soon. I recommend the psalms. They always help me look to God in every circumstance as David . David was a flawed man yet God called him a "man after Mine own heart."

I pray that you and myself, also, will have such a heart attitude as David for which God commended him and also blessed David with through the working of the Holy Spirit in David.

Dear DRZ, I encourage you to dig in steadfastly with conviction to be steadfast in faith in our Lord no matter how you feel, good or bad, or how your circumstances are playing out, whether for your profit of not. For those who love God, He is working all things out for our good. You can find this in the end of Romans 8. I suggest reading the whole chapter and Ephesians chapter 1.

We cannot control much in our lives, really. But God as the Good and gracious Sovereign over all things does control all things and brings all things in history to the good end He has in store for all whom he calls, justifies, sanctifies, and glorifies. He is all-powerful and all-knowing, so He is able to save each of us to the uttermost!

I am glad to know that you continue to resist the urge to act on you suicidal urges, as it is not from God. Lean on Him and the power the Holy Spirit will freely give you the determination to continue to live and to increase the strength of your will to live according to His will and not your own.

I will keep you in my prayers for some time going forward. I hope that you will continue to participate on this forum and communicate with me and others who have reached out to you.

Pls don't do it in Jesus name away satan you have no right to do harm on us without the permission from God. God is full of mercy full of compassion, slow to anger and gives grace who are weak.

I been alot of trouble, sickness, hunger, physical danger, loser, poor, and in pain for so many years in the past but as I believe in God and reading the bible I learned to survive, help my self avoid so many temptations it wasn't easy but yet bec of perseverance and faith in Him I was able to overcome all kinds of oppression and struggles.

It needs patient endurance in which only God can give. If you ask, seek and call upon His holy name from your heart . I still have troubles not mine but for my love ones who are in pain that doctors can't do anything but surrender. Lets look not to what we see but what we believe there's hope in everything . God bless!

    Hello BRZ,

Reading your post reminded me of my own journey. I hope you don't mind my lengthy reply. I was a complete loser as well at age 35. I grew up wanting to get rich quick. I hated who i had become and tried to commit suicide. That was in the evening at a hotel. Very close to the morning a voice started telling me to start praying that God for mercy. At this point I felt I was being torn apart into 2 different persons, I prayed with all my heart. On opening my eyes I started remembering things that I was told during the time I had passed out. It was a vision. I remember being told to stop all the fast lane deals. Throw whatever might remain that I could sell into the toilet and flush them away. I was also told to go back home and start from scratch again. I left that country and went back to my country that had "very little opportunity". When I was on my way back I saw another passenger that was flying with me. We became friends. In a restaurant at the airport, while I went to the cashier to place my order, he typed his order on a computer. His order came out before mine. And I heard something from my inside, not audible but it seems very pressing and clear "Your next level". So I went back to my country started computer coupling. Then started configuring internet connection for people. In those days it was dial up using land phones. I wanted more jobs. But God told me to drop all the jobs first and go to a bible college. I did that. From 8am to 3pm everyday for a year. On the last week of the bible college someone called me and said they could refer me for a job that a hiring manager spoke with them about. It was teaching computer. I took the job and the rest is history. I am senior Data Developer and doing my masters in Data Engineering. And to the Glory of God above 6 fig . I was able to marry, have kids. So Prayer and fasting, Knowing who God is, who you are and who your enemy is Key. Suicide is not an option. God is MORE than able.

I have had many trials. I have a child with severe disabilities, lots of medical bills, my own health issues, and I'm currently unemployed.

I want you to know that God changes things. I've been very close to death and now I enjoy everything a little bit more. I'm grateful for the sunshine, the oxygen, the wind, and rain. I'm grateful for the food God provides, and the people he puts in my path.

I wanted to end it all at one time, because I truly felt hopeless. In the book of Job, Job had to go through the fire which sometimes serves to refine us. This process builds character.

I'm going to pray for you fervently, and I want to remind you that Gods grace is sufficient. Gods strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Don't lose hope. Every day is a new opportunity to start again!

My friend, life is full of tribulation. But the Lord has promised us peace if we cast our cares on him.

    James 5:10-11 KJV

[10] Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. [11] Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

I pray to God that you don't take your life. You've lived for 37 years for a reason, stop seeing all the negative things and began to see positive things about your life. You say you have taken computers courses, apparently you have computer skills. Begin writing your life's story. Write a book that may be of help to someone who is experiencing the same things as you. Write about you, your travels from one country to another, write about the differences in cultures. When you think of it, you have a lot to share.

    God's blessings to you

Please hold on! Do not give up! I am praying that God will help you and your situation. Get the Bible and read it, just hold it, even sleep with it beside your pillow and pray for peace. Many years ago during a horrible time in my life, I felt I couldn't even read the Bible, so I just held it and was crying so hard and felt hopeless, but then a peaceful feeling swept over me and I felt like things were going to get better and after a while they did. But I literally held my Bible and slept with it beside my pillow every night and it did help give me feelings of peace and hope!

    Love in Christ,

Always remember 1 Corinthians 10:13! Things happen to all of us but God is faithful and will only allow us to go through what we can handle and the beautiful thing is, He will always show us a way out! Confide and stay in Him and The Word!
  • Ray - In Reply - 1 year ago
God has a plan for you! Stay strong in Him! These things you feel about yourself is the kind of negativity that Satan tries to feed you. But always have faith and rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus Christ and tell him to get behind you. God gives us power over all our enemies ( Luke 10:19). You are sooo loved! John 3:16! Don't give up! I love you and more importantly God/Jesus Christ love you!

What a glorious truth that anyone can be reconciled to God through simple, child-like faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you aren't sure of your salvation, God has graciously provided a way for you to be cleansed from ALL sins, past, present, and future. Simply believe the Gospel that the Risen Savior gave to our Apostle Paul. Right this very minute believe and trust the following Scriptures:

"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you By which also ye are saved how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures"

    - 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 (KJV)

    Dear BRZ

I am so sorry that your life has been so full of negative and adverse situations and events. How difficult it is to cope with these things. I will be praying for you repeatedly to keep in step with Jesus, preserve your life from suicidal thoughts and actions, and to begin to know the blessings of God upon you. But I do not wish to minimize your situation in any way. You are experience so much pain and emotional distress. You are in the struggle for your life and I pray that you will choose life in every moment.

We truly do not know why some of us suffer so ad for so long as you have experienced. And it can seem like God has forgotten you or turned from you or is somehow unfaithful to you. But all of these perceptions are untrue. So cling to God and believe that He will be faithful to you even in your hardship. Ask Him to strengthen you in faith, to bring release from your troubles, and provide you with what you need to become independent, employed, and give you joy. Keep asking Him. Be persistent in prayer. Don't stop asking Him to come to your aid and to preserve you in faith. Ask God to teach you to love Him more than anything else and to know Him more truly so that you can praise Him gratefully even when you are hurting and going through so much trauma.

BRZ, choose to stay alive. It is the right thing to do and God will help you to do just that.

Ask Him to give you a desire to do His will above your own in this matter of life or death along with all the other areas of your life that need His help.

My heartfelt prayers go up to God on your behalf.

    God loves YOU.

Believe the gospel. Jesus died for you. Was buried and rose again the 3rd day. He defeated death for you. Accept his promise of eternal life. John 3:16. Nothing is impossible with God. Luke 1:37

I would recommend finding some online gospel preachers. Find one that makes sense and listen & learn.

"Dear Heavenly Father please pick this Young Man BRZ up into Your Loving Arms and Give Him Joy and Surround Him with Peace. Let Him know that all of us suffer and it is in the suffering that we find Your Grace Lord. Give Him Your Strength to Keep Standing to the end and show Him how Living with His Mother and Family is an Honor that I could only dream of having. Give this man a New Song to Sing and Open His Eyes to All the Blessings that You have Already Given Him in His Life. Let Him feel Valued and that He Does Matter to You and to so many People. In Your Holy Holy Holy Mighty Heavenly Name King Jesus in the Name of You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit Amen"...!!!

Dear BRZ, Precious Child of God,

You are not forgotten. You are not a failure. You are a beloved child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made. I know this pain feels unbearable, like you've reached the end-but please, hold on a little longer.

You said you've prayed for 20 years, and it feels like God hasn't answered. I believe you. But silence doesn't mean absence. Even Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, cried out in agony. He was betrayed, beaten, crucified-and He stayed. Not because it was easy, but because love held Him there. That same love surrounds you now.

God is not punishing you. This is not your end. What you're walking through is a spiritual storm, and sometimes the storm comes right before the breakthrough. You are being attacked because your life matters. If it didn't, the enemy wouldn't be fighting so hard to steal your hope.

Your worth is not based on a job, a spouse, or success. Your worth is rooted in the One who made you. You are not a burden. You are not a mistake. You are not invisible to God. He sees every tear. He hears every cry. And even now-when you feel most alone-He is weeping with you.

You don't have to be strong. Just breathe. One more hour. One more moment. You've survived 100% of your hardest days so far. That's not weakness-that's strength.

Please don't hang that noose. Please stay. The world is better with you in it, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. You are loved. You are needed. And your story isn't over.

If you need someone now, dial or text 988. It's free, 24/7, and confidential-even in Puerto Rico.

I'm praying that God floods your heart with peace, shows you a path forward, and reminds you of just how treasured you are.

You matter. Stay. God is not done with you.

We just finished a very small group (Me and 2 others) and prayer was put up for you.

I don't know where you are as far as knowledge in your mind and more importantly His Spirit in your heart and soul to guide you.

I agree with the lady who commented about there vbeing a reason you are there; and I have to believe there are some other believers there you will have interaction with. If you ask for the truth He will show you. If you did have a relationship with God then you will know His voice when He speaks.

As a believer we have access to the throne of heaven and are seated in heavenly places ( Eph. 2:6). Hopefully all the comments up here are encouraging as to others giving you advice who have also been in difficult trials hence you aren't alone. Obviously Hebrews 9:27 is something to consider; we all stand before the judgment seat of Christ when we leave this earth. Jesus promises rewards and crowns to those who patiently wait for His coming ( 2 Tim. 4:8).

As for your abusive family member; I have been through years of that myself with my father. I was just reading a letter he wrote in response to mine in 2013 and basically he berated what he considered fanciful belief in the Bible and its historicity; through his own worldview. My mom had to put up with his nastiness even when she was dying last year from cancer. Now with his advanced dementia he doesn't even mind being in a facility and doesn't put up a fight anymore. Keep in mind that you may be there for your mom; and that your uncle as invincible as he may seem needs to be warned about the wrath to come. Maybe you are the one to do it.

As close as I got to your situation was after years of an abusive marriage when my wife divorced me and was having an affair.

That and during financial crises where we made foolish decisions and I had the pressure of bill collectors. Now 20 years later He has blessed me financially. I will pray for you again tonight and for the coming days.

    agape

Oh my sweet child even at a older age. Jesus Loves you. he has a prepose for you.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory now and forever Aman" Hallelujah, To The Lord Jesus Christ!

First please don't give into suicide. My brother hung his self five years ago. We were a family of seven. All I have is one sister left. I was the youngest of all so I've lived through losing all of them losing that brother was the worst. It's like I could see him hanging there Don't do that to the people you love. that love you. These feelings come and will go . Your life can change with the blessing of Jesus Christ, put your eyes on Jesus and don't take them off that's what I had to . There was actually three suicides two brothers and one sister I know that's why to wrap your head of them. That's why I have put my eyes on Jesus and keep going there to survive it. It's to live with it . Some day's are still very hard but when you start studying the King James Bible .your gonna need Christian brothers and sisters and that will come in

time to stay focus on the way of Jesus if you have grudges are resentment against anybody forgive them that is so important once you've done that pray for that job you want without giving up . You gonna learn about the wide an the narrow road what us Christians take the narrow road to heaven .look that one up good luck to you

Nobody can fix you except for Jesus

I might suggest that you try and go into the military. Since you have a degree you might be able to go in as an officer.

My heart breaks with yours at the things God has allowed into your life. The fact that you have persevered through so much, for so long, is evidence if God's divine hand of provision and protection over your life.

All the negatives you are speaking about yourself are lies that the enemy, Satan are whispering to you. And he is using your uncle, too. They are not true, and your belief of them because of what has happened to you, are keeping you from receiving God's full and abundant blessings in your life.

Tell Satan, "Not today, not ever!"

I am a survivor of rape, incest and gun violence. I had an abortion at 16. I felt like scum of the earth, unwanted, unlovable, unnecessary. I made many bad choices and bad decisions. I believed the negative things people said about me.

When I met Jesus in 1991, and found out what He had done for me out of love, and learned how much He loves me, my whole perspective changed. I started seeing myself through God's eyes. I pray brother, that you will read your Bible, find a good Bible based, gospel preaching church, and learn to see yourself through God's eyes. God lives you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you. John 3:16

I have learned and grown from the things God has allowed in my life.

I have been aa widow for 12 years and have become comfortable with the knowledge that I am not alone, I am separated according to God's plan and purpose for me. He wants me all to Himself so I can grow in His grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18. God is waiting for you to stop looking outward at your circumstances and what you don't have, and to look upward, be submitted, surrendered and yielded completely in Him; trusting in God and leaning not on your own understanding. Prov. 3:5-6, and seeing all He has blessed you with.

I am praying for you brother, and waiting to see how God will move in your life. Just find a quiet place, open your Bible, and be still in the presence of the Lord.

The solution to this problem is to stay in the Word, be in regular contact with people of Faith, who pray & worship. Part of satanic strategy is to separate & isolate the flock of God, & then close in to capture, enslave, exploit, torture & kill the lambs/ sheep.

DO NOT MAKE ANY AGREEMENT WITH DEATH.

JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.

Your experiences are somewhat similar to mine, except I am 52, brown, & a woman. No matter what I try to do, there is a block. It is very difficult to move forward, & there are repeats of issues that I went through in the past. I am in a miserable relationship with someone who will not submit to Christ, so he is a puppet used by agents/ offspring of Satan to oppose, resist, & be antagonistic towards me. He is the very nature of the adversary because it is his choice, & it is to frustrate & hurt me. Every thing I don't want is what I'm forced to deal with. All he has to say to me are negative & hurtful words, & he is obsessed with me getting rid of my belongings, so I have nothing & have to depend on him. He's been abusive, but I showed him mercy. He, along with the satanic surveillance crew set me up, so I would lose control, & he sprung the police on me for an unjust/false arrest. He should have been in jail for vandalizing my body, but he plays the victim. I had to spend 2 nights in jail.He has an internet, social media harem, & does not want me using his phone because he's afraid I will find out. But God knows the deep and profound things, He knows what is in the darkness, & He is the Light. We who go through these unnecessary troubles are forced to be human guinea pigs/ lab rats for those in the occult who subject us to the phases, stages, courses, modules & programs of their craft. Their craft is to dehumanize & hold us back/ down, while they are draining our souls/ battery, so we can't function/ progress in life. It becomes an obsession with them to stare at us through their surveillance devices & invoke demonic entities to control us/ turn us into puppets. I have seen/ witnessed even committed followers of Christ fall prey to this satanic control & be subject to various psychological torture & deceptive voice of god programs, where they think God is speaking to/ warning them, but they are being conditioned to obey the voice of the serpent.
