Just wondering on the formation process of fossil fuel. I am a believer that God creation till now is less than 10,000 years. However, to factor in the formation of fossil fuel, do not seem to fit in the time period unless The Flood, expedited everything. So, I was hoping someone here can share their knowledge or brief study of this substance that practically being used widely.
Thanks for your reply and I have the same inclination as you have on the "one second isn't always one second". Just to assure you that my curiousity isn't on my unbelieve or lacking like the Jews that Paul had written to in Hebrews. It is just my conviction to seek out plausible answers to questions from unbelievers.
I have many kins that are still outside the Kingdom and hope that by living a life-style that is discipline ( unlike when I was younger ) and also able to answer ALL their questions. This much I owe to Our Lord Jesus from dragging me out of the mud i was in and placed me beside the still waters.
Getting back on fossil fuel.....the question raised stem from the fact that the present sustainability drive to reduce carbon emission, don't seem to be a complete solutions to the problems that the world is facing. So, i am doing my own research to align science and the Holy Bible on this issue and hopefully, if God is willing, to permit me the knowledge and wisdom which i seeked.
Glad you have replied and look forward to study the verses quoted to see if there is any hint or clue on the matter. Thanks and God Bless.
There is much controversy over the time references of Bible events. That too is natural, for the wisdom of this world have not yet fully defined time: Now they say that one second is not always one second; it can be long as thousands of years; time can stand still, and time can even move backwards! That is what Albert Einstein in his Theory of Relativity argues. Some agreed and some mocked; but modern experiments prove Einstein was right. Everything in the universe we see is relative, except the speed of light. This explains many mysteries. When God said, Let there be light, He was not merely illuminating earth, but He was creating a universe where time passes at a certain pace. Here, in this material world, one second is always one second. We are bound to this frame of reference. God the Creator is outside this frame. He can be anywhere and everywhere in space (3 dimensions) and time (4th dimension) simultaneously. Angels too are in this spiritual world. Jesus, by His own will, left the divine body and took time-space bound material body and lived here with us to give us eternal life.
Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Faith is not dependent on evidences and proofs; it is purely a gift from God, irrespective of merit, intelligence or education. 1 Corinthians 2:5 ..That your faith should not stand (be) in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Ephesians 2:8 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
It is natural to doubt. Even Apostle Thomas had doubts; he could not believe the other disciples until he had personal experience of the resurrected Christ! Personally, I do not think that Thomas believed after examining the crucifixion scar on Jesus' body; there were no marks at all, for a resurrected body cannot have blemishes and marks of the past. Jesus was only interacting with his human nature and raising him to the higher level of faith by referring to his words of unbelief. Thomas, then approached Jesus NOT to verify the crucifixion marks, but to confess him as his Lord! John 20: John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. I think, IF Thomas had searched His body for proof, he would have got disappointed! But Jesus did not let him fail; He wanted Thomas to believe in Him without seeing: That is Faith. (continued)
