To every true BORN child of God who have " passed from judgement to life" there is a judgement of Christ where or works will be judged as to wether they be wood hay or stubble ( works of the flesh) or those of gold and silver ( spiritual )

For there are also crowns to be won as well as lost . To be BORN again qualifies us to " run the race" it does not win us the prize .

Lot was as ' rich' as Abraham in the beginning but because he walked by sight and not by faith he lost all but the salvation of his own soul . He " suffered loss as through fire" .

Works do not and cannot save us that is a work of grace.

And we are " counted righteous" in Gods eyes through Jesus Christ .

His righteousness is imputed to us even as our sin was imputed to him on the cross . The Holy Spurt then imparts that righteousness and we by degree and in a measure begin to do those works of God " preordained from before the foundations of the world".

Lot was counted righteous for " his righteous soul was vexed with the filthy conversations of the wicked".

But walked by sight as shown by his choices first with Abraham then with the kings of Sodom then living among them .

Christians can be carnal. As shown in the letter to the Corinthians.

If we live in the Spirit we must learn also to WALK in the Spirit .

What God has ordained to be done in the Spirit cannot be accomplished by the flesh .

Abraham got impatient and allowed himself to be persuaded to have a child by the flesh rather than by the power of God .

The chiodren of Isreal and indeed the whole world is still living with the consequences .of trying to do in the flesh what God ordained to be done " by My Spirit" .

God fulfilled His Word and when it was impossible for man God made it possible and the " Son of promise" was given.

Are we not ,if His , born again not by the will of man nor if the flesh nir of blood but if God"?

Let us then live and walk as children of God and not as " mere men" as Paul put .

The reduction of the gospel of Jesus Christ .

Not that it can be reduced but men have ignored the greater part of it fir A peace sake .

I'm not going to go over the doctrine of being BORN again for it is simple enough and is well worn .

But suffice to say to be BORN again is in very truth to be de,iveted from Egypt's bondage ( the world) and if Pharos dominion ( the devil ) by what means? The blood of a lamb ,the Wird of God and the power of God ( by grace alone).

Glory to God for ever ! For that deliverance from .

But to be BORN as in this life is but the beginning it is not the be all and end all of that life .

Are we not expected to grow? To be proficient in this life and grow into young men and more often than not to fatherhood?

But man has made the promised land into heaven and Jordan death .

And the wandering in the wilderness for 40 years the Christian norm .

It cannot be said that God forsook them . It cannot be said they did not have miracles every day twice on Saturday . It cannot be said of a lot of things but with all that they were outside of the centre of Gods will .For that entailed them entering into the promised land. Being " more than conquerors " and doing thecwill of God .

For they were not only saved from bondage but were saved unto God .

It only took them I think just ver two years to go from Egypt to the banks of the river Jordan .

Then God saud " Go in and possess the land for I have given it to you"

Paul warns us " Not to be like them who entered not in because of unbelief" unbelief is not only just not believing God which is bad enough . But it is also believing the wrong message.. Paul also warned the church not to be like Eve also . Did she not be.I eve the wrong message? " Thou shalt not surely die"

The wilderness was to be but 'boot camp' which is where civiliansc are turned into soldiers .

And learn to obey commands .

Is it not written that God proved them there? Was not the Lord also proved in a wilderness ?

    Galatians 5:19

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,"

    Galatians 5:20

"Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,"

    Galatians 5:21

"Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

Who can deny it? Yet you seem to be by them to close your eyes to what also is written .

For how else can works of hay wood and stubble be understood?

The tale of the three little pugs comes to mind who built their house of straw and sticks.

" I will build my church days the Lord and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it "

All the kingdoms of this world are founded upon murder treachery bloodshed and war .Including the UK and if GB turned out any different it was only by the grace of God . But if it wants to be like world ,like the world it will become.

And every kingdom of man and empire as far back as Babylon etc and every attempt to build a " workd order'. Has and will fail .

For unless God builds the house them that build build in vain "

But do we not seek a city ? Which hath foundations who's builder and maker is God"?

A lot of what is called 'worship' . Is neither in the Spirit or according to the Word and revelation of God .

And a number of established denominations leadership has come to think that conformity with the world is of God .

And every true born child of God is going to have to make some hard decisions .

It cost God everything to give us something for nothing . It will cost everything to keep it .

    John 12:25

"He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."

    John 5:29

"And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

Matthew 19:17 "And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."

Again thanks for your reply but am unable to see your point .

If we look at the letters of Paul, in particular the letters to the Romans and Hebrews we find he presents an ' argument" that is to say a line of thought that is designed to lead us to the same conclusions as he has " till we all come to a unity of the faith") using those scriptures rightly used in their context to uphold his argument . For he desired above all that we shouid come to the same understanding of the same mind etc in the matters he was presenting . To the Jews primarily in Hebrews and the gentiles in Romans . Though both are very profitable fir all .

Now people can get things wrong fir no man is infallible though some religionists think they are . But even if we speak the truth as it is in Christ and according to all the scriptures that does not make me or you infallible but rather we are but like the moon which having no light of its own bares witness to the truth .

Thus if I am mistaken it is not much use to me if all I am faced with is verses of scripture.

Fir that is what I had in the beginning but rather if you perceive my error then by that understanding of those scriptures we shouid be able to show or prove my error by such arguments and show or prove a right understanding of them

For if not there is no profit fir anyone fir yiu me or anyone else reading these posts .

For does not faith in God come by understanding the Word of God? Not just by the letter .

Thus I cannot nor do not deny the scriptures you quoted but cannot see or rather understand the relevance ( you) put to them in this discussion .

For I was seeking to prove that Lot was walking in the flesh not the Spirit by sight and not by faith though he was still counted righteous and that such a life " will suffer loss as through fire".

That Paul was speaking to Christian's when he said of some " ye are yet carnal".

We are called to grown in grace and in the knowledge of God. From " little children" to 1 John
