Without self-love, people turn to drugs, develop criminal nature or end up in suicide. All because they have no esteem of their own body and soul. They cannot love God either. You must be thankful to God for all the blessings you have been receiving from God. If you want to get something more from God, you can boldly and directly approach Him. He cannot get angry with you, for you are His precious child. He is waiting eagerly to meet you. No formality: enter a room, shut the door behind you (to avoid distractions from outside - or simply close your eyes) and call upon Jesus for help. ( Matthew 6:6). The Holy Spirit will strengthen and guide you throughout your life ( Psalms 55:22). 'Cast thy burden upon the lord, and he shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.'
