Some more thoughts about the "date setters".

Maybe I'm the only one here who has been frustrated as of late; and others here don't bother reading the endless postings online of those predicting you know when (Rosh Hashanah) that the Rapture is supposed to occur.

I need to prepare in case He comes tomorrow which certainly could happen; I do feel the Lord has told me to be alert this month.

Someone online mentioned that perhaps the foolish virgins are those who put all there hopes up now for a return on a certain date and that holds merit to me as the scripture mentions the bridegroom tarrying. Those all hyped up will have a downer if it is just emotions; and sadly few will retract their predictions; and even sadder is a person online who I have been friends with who now is saying "thus saith the Lord" and won't heed my warnings. I had a similar event with an author I wrote to who probably passed away about 20 years ago...

Now it goes without saying that we are to occupy until He comes. That involves doing the work of an evangelist ( 2 Tim. 4:5).

What it DOES not imply is finding all kinds of gematria and number associations everywhere between concordance references to the license plates of cars that pass by. Once that crap is discussed I'm outta there in terms of taking people seriously.

Sorry to vent; hopefully it helps someone.

This sounds like a no brainer but the focus should always be on scripture as there is a plethora of detailed prophetic statements there which we KNOW 100 percent will happen. If we start using human logic then we can say that He MUST come such and such a date as if we are in charge of things OR we say as others do that He can't come until the church has its act together or we have prepared the world by some sort of worldwide control which Dominionism preaches. Neither logic makes any sense.

I'm sorry if it seems too harsh here but that is just plain foolishness.

I'm glad no one here seems to be in either extreme.

If anyone predicts the TIME of that is called the rapture then they are simply contradicting the Lord who said no one but the Father knows the time .These predictions then can be ignored and warned against .

Having said that we can know by the scriptures the SEASON of His imminent return .

Those signs of the times and seethe season are clearly laid out in scripture and by the Lord Himself .

As it was in the days of Noah and of Sodom . Anyone going to the book of Genesis can find for themselves what the prevailing conditions were then so can judge if we are now.

The list of Paul in Timothy as to those " perilous times " is another indicator or barometer .

The Holy Spirits pressing for urgency with our spirit is another .

And if you consider that even the Apostles who did not know the hour but were sure it was close how much more then should we be? And when the Lord on the way to Calvary said if they do this to the master when the wood is green what will they do when it is dry?

And in Hebrews "God hath spoken to us in these last days by His Son "and that was 2000 years ago how much the more are we now in the last days?

All ths foolishness of predictions is but the enemy of our souls using carnally minded people to throw dust in our eyes so we get distracted enough to miss the boat .

The actual time is almost irrelevant the real issue is are we ready?

Someone spoke about the 5 foolish virgins their folly was presumption and primarily their vessels were not full of oil .

Too many have been misled into thinking if you are BORN again you are automatically in the Bride . This is not so for there are too many scriptures that teach other wise . For while ALL true born children of God are CALLED to that high calling not all will respond .

Enoch was translated ( a more accurate word) before the outpouring of Gods wrath upon the earth . But Noah was saved through it .

Lot was saved. But suffered loss as through fire but Abraham was nowhere near the place .
