I've got some problems here that could use some prayer
Dear KJV family: I seem to have returning issues of things which originally caused my appendicitis a couple years ago. Of course without my appendix I may not have immediate emergency issues. There seems to be the same sort of clouded appearance at times let's just say in using the facilities that is a sort of tell tale sign; that doesn't always appear but has affected me with some crampiness in the last day or two (which could be due to fighting something going around or in conjunction with it).
What is clear to me is that something deep within is causing this issue as much of the time things have been somewhat normal (although I have IBS).
It is more complicated than it would seem in terms of diagnosis; I have an appointment at a highly recommended place specializing in these issues in November; that was the soonest I could schedule it which was back when I last saw my General doctor in August. I finally (after the third attempt) received the stool test in the mail but may have botched it up due to the sample size; and haven't heard anything yet. I did have colonoscopy in about the year 2016 and everything was good-it was a couple years before that when I was sick for about a month that this problem first developed.
The other thing is that of course the heavy dose of antibiotics in the hospital did clear up things for a time; but of course you have diminshing returns with that sort of thing. I am attempting some natural remedies (oregano; a lot of tea and some other stuff that may help).
I am somewhat less uncomfortable today compared to last night and am still able to use the bathroom (it isn't blocked like it was when I had the appendicitus). I am praying that I am better for this coming week; next weekend I am planning to go up for a couple days to NY to get some insulation with a friend of mine helping in a primitive cabin I bought this past summer.
May God heal you and keep you for His glory. We are all frail human beings but God in His mercies never fails, so in your present need God must work. Oh God heal your servant, Amen
I remember when you have that bout with appendicitis, it was a bit touch an go for you. I will pray for your current situation and thanks for sharing as you have. Most people would not get into such details but I am glad you did.
Are you seeing a gastroenterologist for this?
Here are some things that have been helpful for me when I have such difficulties:
1. I pray, asking the Lord to help me evacuate things readily and easily.
2. I take psyllium fiber capsules to increase my fiber intake.
3. I drink lots of water
4. I eat salads.
5. I eat yogurt with live cultures.
6. Consume strawberries and pumpkin.
These may be things that your doctor will recommend to you, but you do not need to wait to begin adding these measures to your daily routine. If such things are contraindicate with your IBS, then you may wish to not begin any that would be so.
I also encourage you to reduce the amount of time you spend sitting down. Get up an be mobile which helps your whole digestion process.
It is amazing how such a situation can negatively affect your moment by moment life. I get it!
Sometimes people get into bowel habits that are counterproductive and our evacuation process is hindered. It is a physical problem that may involve retraining the muscles in our exit area to empty more often and relax to be able to pass things more easily.
I wish you well, my friend. I know how uncomfortable it feels to have this aspect not function well. I pray that God will bring your good relief in the weeks ahead of your appointment in November.
Richard, you are in my prayers. I have suffered from digestive issues in the past, so you have my sympathies. I started taking probiotics and improved my diet. I have improved greatly but still have to be careful. I enjoy your posts. God bless and heal you!
