Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, pt 1

    Some thoughts of mine.

"Why does God love us", my pastor asked the congregation once. "Why? We are just filthy creatures after all. Sinful people. Dirty people. Why does He love us?"

The obvious answer is that "God is love", I thought immediately. Yet when I thought about it deeper, I said to myself, how is it possible not to love us. After all He created us. He made us with His own hands, He blew His Spirit into us. How is it possible not to love us?

When I went home and was still thinking about it, I thought that He could had avoided creating us after all. God knows the future. He knew that we will disobey Him and eventually it would be necessary to Him to sacrifice Himself for us, dieing a horrible death on a cross for us. So He could had just not create us. And instead He could had made something else like something like angels or something else for which He wouldn't have to suffer anything. Logical thoughts.

I thought of a couple I know for some time The man when he was a young man went to the pastor and asked his opinion about a young woman he was having feelings for. The pastor said that she was a good sister but there was a problem with her. The girl was epilleptic. "You can marry to her but you will have a tough time in your life. It is your decision but you must consider the consequences. It is up to you, your decision, I am just informing you." The young man said that he didn't care about the consequences. He loved her so much and was determined to go through anything to have her. And at the end they got married and today they are having grandchildren. True story. Was he having a tough time? Yes he was and is still having a tough time. But he loved her so much that he didn't step back when he learned about her epillepsy, neither afterwards.

Your message was exactly what I needed to hear at this time. I am so thankful that I read it. I haven't looked at the comments/messages for a long long time, and I'm certain the Holy Spirit guided me here tonight. God is Love!
