    Sisters and brothers, pt 2

    So getting back to the question. Why did God create us although He knew that He will have a tough time with us? And that He was going to suffer for us?

    Because He saw us in the future and loved very much what he saw. What did he see? He saw me and you and you and you and ... He saw all of us. And desired so much what He saw that He didn't step back from His decision to make us although He knew that He would have to suffer for us. That much He loved us before He even made us and is still loving us and strives to get us into His House to live together with us for ever and ever. Not concerned about the consequences on Him of His decision at all.

    A brother resembles our relationship with God with a love affair. God is in love with us and wishes us to be in love with Him. His feelings for us are never changing. What about ours for Him?

    Giannis,

    Your posting on God's love brings to mind Heb 2:10 where God deemed it "fitting to crush His Son in order to bring many sons to glory". 1 John 4:16 is so comforting in that it reveals that God is love and in love He ordained to redeem sinful humans to become fitted to commune with Him in the love of the Godhead. We were ruined by sin, but, for His glory, God purposed to save us when we were dead in sin through the sacrifice of our Savior and the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit so we could be made alive in Christ and made holy and acceptable before the Father. 1 John 3:1 expresses that God has "lavished His love upon us" in such a way that we become His children. Oh, what manner of love is this! Can we even know the depths of this love?

    1Peter 4:8 exhorts us to love each other because love covers a multitude of sins. The sacrifice of Jesus did just that. He did it all for love of the people the Father predestined to give the Son before all of creation. He loved the Son in this way. We are a gift to His Son and also we are a gift to the Father. We do not deserve this at all, but God deemed it a highly desirable to create us for this purpose. We are to dwell in His love and enjoy the love relationship of the Godhead forever. That is so very awesome!

    God's love is a tremendous gift to us. He does all things for His glory. His God-centeredness extends outward to His creation in all He ordains and brings to fruition. We are the beneficiaries of the internal love of the Godhead. In His wisdom, He deemed that He would be most glorified in saving a people made holy and righteous by the work and sacrifice of His ONE and ONLY Son because He is the source of all life, goodness and love. In raising His Son from death to life God demonstrated that death cannot conquer His love for His Son nor for the people Jesus died for to become children of God.

    These are my immediate thoughts on your postings on God's love for us. It is such a beautiful truth to grasp.

    Hello GiGi

    One of my favorite verses is 2 Cor 5:21

    "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

    We have to build our lives on God's love.

    Eph 3:14-19

    "14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

    15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

    16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

    17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

    18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height (of Christ's love);

    19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

    Hi Azzan

    Hebr 3:12-14

    "12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

    13But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

    14For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

    Sin can deceive people and cause them to turn away from God. Remember the prodigal son. The good news is that our Father is always waiting for us to come back. GBU

    Thank you bro Giannis for those very precious thoughts and reminders about the God we worship and serve. Not a distant detached Divine, but a God that created us and longs for intimacy with all people, especially given to those who come to Him broken, repentant, seeking His Salvation and Love. As bro. S. Spencer shared beautiful verses from Ephesians 2:4-7, that which came to my mind is from Romans 5:7,8:

    "For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

    But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

    If man could think twice before sacrificing his life for another, shouldn't we expect the same of God Who should rightfully consign each one of us sinners to hell without mercy? But God's Love for every sinner is without equal, that He should send His Son to pay the price for our redemption - the great cost which we could never ever pay. And the excellence of the Love of God was that He took on our flesh for the suffering of death. To me, this is the clear demonstration of that Love - not by creating another human to pay the price for our sin, which to me, fails the test of understanding & appreciating Divine Love.

    Also, great to see you back on these pages Giannis. GBU.

    Hello Chris. Indeed, I believe it would had been not right for God to create someone who would sacrifice himseld for something that went wrong in His creation.

    It is like a man who starts a business and fails. And finds himself under a lot of debt. So, He picks up someone who has nothing to do with his business and makes him pay the debts that were created. It doesn't sound right to me. It doesn't sound fair for that other person.

    Amen Giannis!

    This reminds me of Ephesians 2:4-7. Especially verse 7.

    "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

    Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

    And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

    7) "THAT IN THE AGES TO COME HE MIGHT SHEW THE EXCEEDING RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN HIS KINDNESS TOWARD US through Christ Jesus.

    WHILE WE WERE DEAD IN SINS, God quickened us TOGETHER WITH CHRIST and raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places IN CHRIST JESUS!

    Why?

    "That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

    HE MIGHT SHEW THE EXCEEDING RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN HIS KINDNESS TOWARD US THROUGH CHRIST!!

    How wonderful!

    Blessings.

    Thanks Spencer

    Rom 8:28-30

    "28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

    30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."

    God has a plan for every one of us. We just have to trust our lives in Him.

    GBU
