Gigi: Today is the worst day to my life. I am not a worshipper of Halloween. but each to his own. I sat all day with Arthur yesterday at the Health Clinic in full support of his emotions and it was comforting to Us both. I had gotten myself into debt by getting a Credit Card so I could get some gas, to get Arthur something to eat as well as me. He as always was glad I was by him. He was eating and I was visiting him. then he went into consoling for Anger Management inwhich his finished off his Alcohol and Drug classes, next step was his Anger management. He looks forward to these now, I noticed. He next appointmentwas getting Glasses for himself. He went to Cataract surgery two months ago and was so happy to discover that was the problem of him not being able to see, they removed all that and now he can see. His waiting for them to show him what glasses he can get. well the insurances of Medicare/Medicaid only pay for his surgery and exams but not for the glasses. his heart broke with disappointment, for all his whole Income goes to Room and Board. and leaves him with Nothing, but lucky I was there with him, when I had heard that, I asked if they could lead him in a direction to seek help for his been without glasses since 2000 and its been a life of deteriating for him. So, I have his proof of income to show them today for Help for him. So, Him and I are Standing in the need of Prayers for his eye sight. (glasses)
Gigi, his determination is Leading him to Yakima Washington to reside. I am scared of him to fall into the corruption of D&A, him not having a care worker, him nothing again for his home if he does get one. people to hurt him, abuse him, take advantage of him, him being hungry, not able to wash/bedding etc, get his needs. God I am scared. I really cried to him with tears for I am trying to find a way for is health. I love my son. I scolded his son, Arthur is relying on his son, Scared I am. I need Prayers for his & I.
I had double cataract surgery over a year ago and only need glasses for reading. I hope that you can be in touch with an agency that may help him get the correct eyeglasses for his new sight needs.
I will continue to pray for him to decide to stay where he is at, to realize that this home is doing him much good and his health is improving as a result. I will pray that God will cause his sobriety to continue indefinitely and that he will not feel the need to go back to drugs and alcohol.
You mentioned his son. I did not know he had a son. Does this son live nearby? Is he truly helpful to Arthur's overall health and well-being?
Donna, you have a lot to be thankful today. But there are big concerns still present. Lean on God for each day and its needs for you, Arthur, and your other son, too, who has drug problems, too. God is strongest of all. He can do what seems to us as impossible. And He is compassionate to those who are unable to help themselves much. My prayers are with you and for you and your family.
