Prayers for those who worship false gods in the USA including congress, the political cult, and false teachings like islam. Prayers for those who are afraid and triggered by the truth. Like Pharisees they will judge and condemn Jesus followers while coddling and condoning terrorist hate groups like islam who have a history of violence and torturing and demeaning women. Their so called prophet was a racist who murdered nearly 1000 Jews and committed child abuse and assault of a 9 year old girl he took as a wife. Some believers aren't upset about this horrifying fact but only get upset about its truth being exposed.
Prayer for all the babies killed this year under the intolerant and uncompassionate abortion mass murder programs. Prayer for all the lies told in effort to cover up the bloody horrors of what is actually being done behind closed doors. They lie that its about health care while they use large sharp tools to destroy what God created piece by piece. They also target vulnerable girls and boys for grooming to become lgbt so their parents feel validated and accepted into the satanic cult. Child abuse is wrong and evil. All these things in our world are evil and many will face the wrath of God if they don't repent. More need to stand up for truth and doing what is right, rather than following the satanic evils of the world. Prayer for those who are currently lusting for communism and the millions it has killed through its various dictatorships and oppression. Embracing the horrors of this evil world is not love, but hate. Calling it out and calling out the ones who follow and defend and vote for it is love. Trying to save others from an eternity in hell is love. Christians have a duty to stand up for Christ.
I was thinking on your post last evening. You are right in that we all should be serious about purging idols from our lives.
This is what believers all over the world are to do, not just in the U.S.A.
Personally, I do not know of anyone who makes an idol of politics, or political leaders, a political party or the other ways you mentioned. But I and others are involved in our government as the Lord leads us to be. As a citizen of this country (U.S.A.), I believe that believers have a responsibility from God to engage in governmental affairs as far as our constitutional rights allow.
We have the means to know far more about what is happening in our local, state, and national governments than any generation before us, so our responsibility is greater because of this. We have access to our representatives via e-mail, texting, phone calls, and physical meeting with them. We should use these means to make known our desires on specific matters at hand. We have the opportunity to advise and influence how they vote and can inform them how certain actions by the government affect our lives directly or our communities as a whole.
Some people have more of a calling to be involved this way than others because the Holy Spirit leads them to gain knowledge of what is happening in government and to speak up, support candidates, or join in with groups who rally for specific causes.
All these things are not making an idol out of politics, government, or leaders. Rather, it is exercising the rights of being citizen of this country knowing that it was God who chose for us to be born here as citizens or to legally immigrate here and become a citizen. Acts 17:25-27 tells us that it is God who determines such things.
As for the matters discussed in the rest of your post, these concern me greatly and I pray for God to help those who are being abused, oppressed, and mistreated in many ways. We should be diligent in praying for our nation, leaders, communities.
