  • Dave Purdle on Proverbs 16 - 11 years ago
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Prov 16:3...I believe you are referring to this verse. Commit is the Hebrew word galal and means to roll them upon Him, as a burden too heavy to be borne by thyself. Thy works signify all that you have to do. So if you do these things, the Lord will bless you because they are done in His will and perfect plan.
  • Dave Purdle on Proverbs 1 - 11 years ago
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction Prov 1:7 . I think we have to define the word "fear " here. It is the Hebrew word yirah, which means reverence or devotion. I would say it is the type of reverence that a child would show to parents. It is not a fear of hell, punishment or wrath. The fear we should have is a starting point of who He is i.e. He is sovereign, holy, etc : This fear is the starting point of wisdom.

  • Joni G on Romans 6 - 11 years ago
Romans 6 is one of the best chapters in the Bible! We are servants of Christ. Righteousness. We are free from sin. We were a slave to sin before we believed and were baptized into Christ 's death. We are free because He paid our debt on the cross and rose again. Hallelujah for evermore! We all should memorize this chapter!
  • Innocent Ufiegbe on 2 Corinthians 8:9 - 11 years ago
We have seen known the richness of His mercy that christ 's all sufficient grace obtained unlimited wealth for us His children through His poverty by mingling with mere humans on earth though He had allthings in all sufficiency in heaven.
  • Joni G on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
Just looked at Acts 16. Wow! How exciting! The jailer is on duty for the night never dreaming when he went to work, he would hear songs of praise, experience an earthquake, find his prisoners in their cells with unlocked doors, ask how to be saved, then believe and be baptized! What joy he must have felt that night! Now a child of God. Think of the impact he must have had after that. Praise God! The hymns too. I have an eBook of hymns of the first 3 centuries. Words of course . No musical notes. Those were added later!
  • Gary on Ephesians 5 - 11 years ago
I have known for a long time the verse of husbands love your wives even as Christ loved the church, that is a large responsibility that should be taken very seriously . As men we are not to lord over our wives but to cherish them and take care of them and their needs.

  • Opeyemi lawal on 1 Corinthians 13:12 - 11 years ago
presently we do not fully understand what we are passing through now,but later we shall fully understand them in the future, when God has completed His work in our lives, we will now have the full understanding revelation of what we have been going through and why we went through them.

  • Reginald andrews on Isaiah 54 - 11 years ago
ISAIAH CHAPTER 54 Verse 17 17No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. I claim it and receive it In the Mighty Name of Jesus!!
  • Andrew on Ecclesiastes 5 - 11 years ago
Troubled, do not fear. God understands. God is willing to forgive whenever we are truly sorry for something, no matter how many times we fall and rise and fall again, even if it 's a vow. God will NOT say that He "forgave you once, but two times is too much ". Do your very best, but when you fall, ask and trust Christ. Christ forgives infinite number of times. Of course that doesn 't mean go do whatever you want, but it means Christ will never shut you out and doom you so long as you live. The only unforgivable sin is self-murder. So be at peace, friend.Perhaps talk to your pastor about this, if you want. He should be able to put your worries to rest.

THANK YOU JESUS Unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond what i think or even ask for.... be Glory and Honour and Adoration given to. Therefore, for every breathe i take in every second, minute, hour, or a day like this one, i give GOD all the glory. Thank you Jesus. I am alive because you chose to wake me up today. It means you can take me through the coming year successfully and You have a lot stored up for me. Eph. 3: 20-21 says: 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. My God can provide exceeding abundantly beyond what i think or ask. God, thank you so much. My HEART IS FULL OF YOUR PRAISES. THANK YOU JESUS.

It is a scripture that is full of hope because I serve a powerful God who not only saves me but can protect me from my enemies. If I put my trust in God there is nothing that He cannot do for me. He will not only deliver from mine enemies but He will help me to be victorious at all times in every area of my life!

  • John Hawks on Acts 2 - 11 years ago
In verse 38 its obvious.....to have your sins remitted you have to REPENT....turn away from your sinful life and be BAPTIZED...FULLY EMERSED...PLAIN AND SIMPLE....wash away your sins to walk in newness of life....a new creature....No Jews or Gentils....just Christians! Remember the story of Philip and the Eunuch...the Eunuch was taught about Jesus and rejoiced after Baptizim. Notice that in Vs 41 they Gladly Recevied the teaching and then were Baptized. Notice Vs 47 that only God adds to his church those who Obey his teachings....no man or church should vote on you being a member. To God be the Glory Forever! Amen
  • MockingBird on Ephesians 6:10 - 11 years ago
The joy of the Lord is my strength. The Lord His word is my strength . All I have to do is find the word that is needed for the thing I am going through then stand on it. Start speaking His word and believing what I am saying and His word will come to pass . He upholds all things by the word of His power.
  • Catherine Burrows on 1 Corinthians 2:14 - 11 years ago
When i read the Christys comment about how Jesus changed her life and how gratefull she is and in awe of The Almighty God who revealed this truth of His Son The Lord Jesus Christ it brought me close to tears as it is the same as i feel. We love Jesus because He first loved us. We did nothing and couldnt ever do anything to deserve this gift. The greatest gift we could ever receive. My life was a complete mess and Jesus rescued me. Jesus is the lifter of my head. I have been bought with a price. I am not my own I belong to Jesus. What could be better than that. Stay in the Word. Read it learn it apply it. There are so many false teachers out there. The word speaks for itself for salvation. Redemption discipleship discipline holiness righteousness. I love the scriptures tgat rebuke correct and warn. These are precious as they keep us grounded.
  • YvetteWalker on Psalms 23 - 11 years ago
I believe the valley of the shadow of death is all the trails we go through in life some in which we say to our selves I should have been dead other times we feel so bad, unwanted, and depressed that we feel our next step would be to be dead. But if we allow God he will pick us up and we will see 0that God really is our shepherd
