  • Every Day With The Holy SpiritMishael - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 5 years ago
    Romans 8:34

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the RIGHT HAND OF GOD, who also maketh intercession for us.

    Romans 8:27

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Folks, this is the Godhead. Jesus did not let Mary Magdalene touch him, because he had not yet ascended to heaven to assume the position of High Priest.

He is in heaven where the 2 scriptures say what He is doing. When this age closes, the Father will tell the Bridegroom to go get His Bride.

The Holy Spirit is on earth now performing His ministry. Jesus went to the Cross to give believers the Holy Spirit who indwells each believer with the spirit of Christ.

He comforts, teaches, baptizes, SPEAKS, strives with sinners, creates, renews, convicts, anoints, guides, empowers, sanctifies, gives gifts, illuminates, reveals, truth of God, and much more.

After the catching up of the Church, His ministry will be diminished.

I would say I have a close relationship with Him. I pray, talk with, worship Jesus, read huge chunks of the Bible daily, sit still until He teaches me what I just read, He sharpens my spiritual discernment, corrects me often. I cannot express the inner JOY it is to covet being in His presence! He speaks to me at home, in the car, taking a walk. He gives words of knowledge and words of wisdom.

why?? Because He knows I am smitten with Jesus, and the Father that Jesus wants us to know. I'm going to do or say whatever he tells me.

My most favorite time is in silence, listening intently for Him. I sing-He sings. One time he sang, "I walk the Line" by Johnny Cash!

Get to know Him! He's a real Person who happens to be invisible to our eyes; but visible in the spirit; to hearts and to our spirit inside, ears. Be as close as you desire. Read 10 virgins story. The OIL is the Holy Spirits JOY.

God said in his word ask and it shall be given you knock and the door shall be open seek and you shall find. If a evil man know how to give good gifts to his son well when you ask the Lord Jesus for something he will give it to you all you have to do is to obey the Lord and live by his word and anything you asked of him he will bless you with

The command to save trees for food during a siege. Deuteronomy 20:19

When you besiege a city for a long time, while making war against it to take it, you shall not destroy its trees by wielding an ax against them; if you can eat of them, do not cut them down to use in the siege, for the tree of the field is man's food. Only the trees which you know are not trees for food you may destroy and cut down, to build siegeworks against the city that makes war with you, until it is subdued.

    a. When you besiege a city for a long time: When an army surrounded a city during a siege, the army would forage around the countryside for supplies. Needing wood for building and fuel, it would be common for the besieging army to cut down trees in the area around the city.

    b. Only the trees which you know are not trees for food you may destroy and cut down: However, God commanded Israel against cutting down trees for food when they besieged a city. They had to take a long-term view (one good for the ecology) and see that their immediate need for wood was less important than the long-term good of the area.

You can Google this again if you want. There's one with a longer Jewish view on this verse if that's what you seek.
  • Harmony of the Gospel Books More - In Reply on Acts 3 - 5 years ago
I think that's why some Bibles call the Gospels, the Harmony of the Gospels.

Twelve disciples witnessed the same events, but some differ because of age, occupations they had been in, experiences. The Books were written at different times. Yet, they harmonize with each other. Amazing!

Jesus knew Judas would betray Him. There is a prophesy in Psalms that was fulfilled when Judas did it.

You can Google up charts of all the prophesies in the Old Testament, and on the New Testament; that Jesus would fulfill in his life. The odds of that happening is more than all the stars in our universe! One life achieved all of that. How anyone can deny that, is without an excuse on the day of Judgment.

The charts show the prophesy scriptures, and on the same line, the scripture where Jesus fulfilled it.

You'll want to save those in your bookmarks or read list on your Google page.

Hear are a few: James 1:1-27 and James 4:7-17. Pray, read the Word of God, ask Jesus for strength, and endure! God Bless, and I will remember you in prayer!

Joseph was undoubtedly Jesus earthly dad. You are totally wrong about that. Read Matt 1. Jesus earthly genealogy starts with King David and also with Adam in Luke 3:38. Please stop thinking carnally and be inspired by the Holy Ghost.

  • Wisdom for all teenagers - In Reply on Acts 3 - 5 years ago
Proverbs is a Book of wisdom in many areas of life, for both sexes. Proverbs 31 describes a godly woman. The Book of Ruth and the Book of Esther, again, women we can learn from.

Genesis 24 is a great book for those in search for a mate.

I Corinthians chapters 5 through 7: sometimes called the marriage chapters by some. It covers sexual impurity also.

I asked my son in his teens, do you want to marry a virgin, or a girl who was "experienced"?

He didn't ponder long, he said a virgin!

I'll tell the story a female teacher said once at church. It was about why God covered the woman inside with a hymen. It was a proof of virginity, but it also serves a purpose: It protects against diseases. You're not going to get STD's if you're saving yourself for marriage.

Our culture teaches the exact opposite. They try to force kids to choose gay, straight or in between in grade school. You can choose Jesus. That takes a lot of courage and inner strength.

A good marriage candidate (a man) is going to honor her choice to wait, and will protect his virgin.

That was my take on the story in Genesis 24. If only the Church would teach that. You read it and tell me what you think about it. I'm kinda old lol

Googling that question is a rabbit path. Skip Wikipedia on that.

One of Jesus's brothers was named James. Another one named Jude, wrote the Book of Jude.

Jesus did not have an earthly dad. The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and she (being a Virgin: before, during and after; conceived Jesus (he called himself the Son of Man)

The Zebedee brothers, John and James, became disciples.

The connection in the healing power found in Christ, could have only come from heaven! Culminating in the resurrection of His earthly body! Thomas will tell you again.
  • Fred scanlan - In Reply on Psalms 130 - 5 years ago
We are given certain sacraments, Baptism, and Holy communion. When Gods word is connected with his sacraments we receive the blessings of the Trinity! He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved! Redemption, justification, sanctification, all found in the promises of God the Father ,God the Son, God the Holy Spirit! Remember? Faith in the word is as a tiny seed that will grow into a glorious tree, that others can find refuge in! Leaven in bread? It takes time , with the nurture of His word, the trinity will reveal itself to you, in the same way they are one we will be one in them!
  • How are the dead and living changed at the Rapture - In Reply on Acts 3 - 5 years ago
As a born again Christian you are flesh, you have a soul, your spirit is alive in Christ. ( a triune being.)

When your flesh body dies it is buried by family or it remains where it fell dead.

God says in Scripture that "all souls are Mine." It is in heaven.

Your spirit ascends into heaven to be with Christ, until the Rapture.

At the moment that Jesus appears in the clouds and calls up all those who are deceased, graves will open and the body will join Jesus first. The resurrection body of flesh, soul and spirit will be restored. In the twinkling of the eye.

Next those who are alive, will join Jesus in their resurrection body that will be changed instantly.

Billions of people will be with Jesus! Jesus will instantly take us to heaven to attend the wedding supper of the Bridegroom. All those who were invited to attend, who received salvation, will be at this celebration.

There will not be last minute invitations sent out. We have to accept salvation before this happens.

It's a mystery we will all be a part of: those that were born again. John chapter 3. No amount of money or tears of regret, will enable the unsaved to attend the Marriage Supper. All believers will be The Bride of Christ.

Is one last beer party or sex sin worth missing out on eternity with relatives, friends, children; who had already passed on and are awaiting us joining them?

I mean no offense or hurt, when I say that all children who died by illness, accident, murder, or abortion, will be in heaven too. There will be no sorrow or sadness: just joyful reunions. I lost a child and I'm looking forward to meeting that baby I named and had so many plans for.

There will be no more sorrow; just joy unspeakable! Everyone on earth is invited. Why not accept the invitation TODAY? John 3 will tell you how. Find the link on this website to "Become a Christian."

The holy spirit descended on Jesus as a dove in His baptism. We receive this same spirit when we are baptized into Christ. The holy spirit. The comforter! The paraclete!
  • Fred Scanlan - In Reply on Luke 5 - 5 years ago
Dividing and conquering takes time. Satan is allowed only enough of it according to mans faithfulness! If man is faithful and true toward God, He is faithful and just to forgive! Seeking signs is a sin! Why God gave us revelation is what will be the end of man and His sin. We will never know that day, neither do the angels in heaven!

Who said the Holy Spirit is a person and what exactly do you mean by 'person'? The Bible doesn't say that. God the Father is also a spirit. John 4:24
  • Understanding the Book of Revelation - In Reply on Luke 5 - 5 years ago
I literally believe what is written in the Book of Revelation. To put a 2021 spin on it, is misleading to people. There's much to read in chapters 13-16. God gives a blessing every time a person reads Revelation.

    Revelation 19:20

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, AND THEM that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

    Revelation 13:17

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

    Revelation 14:9

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

    Revelation 14:11

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

    Revelation 16:2

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

    Revelation 20:4

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Mishael: I asked the Holy Spirit if people can ACCIDENTALLY get the Mark of the Beast? He said NO. People will get it willingly, in order to eat, live & take care of their families.

The Marked person has no more chance to recant and be saved. Chopping off the hand will not remove the death sentence of getting the Mark.

This is now. Roman history is not helpful really.
  • Darren Croft - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 5 years ago
I have issue with the Holy Spirit being a person, or part of the man made trinity. Specifically, the Holy Spirit is "poured out", which doesn't describe a person. The Spirit is not a person that can be poured out. It's a Spirit and blessing from God.

Isaiah 44:3 "I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants."

The outpouring of the Spirit is a completed prophecy that ushered in the church age and the New Covenant in which all believers are given the Holy Spirit. Fact is the Holy Spirit has already come to us in salvation, and doesn't leave.

    Dear Melvin,

That's a good question. I personally trust what the Bible says over what men say. I'm 100% certain that we will not go to heaven until judgment day first occurs, and I'm certain that day won't come until Jesus first returns to earth, and I'm certain that the scriptures that say the dead will rise and meet him in the air is true. The Bible also refers to people who are dead as being 'asleep', and I believe that to those who die it will seem like a second and they will be meeting Jesus and awaiting Judgment. So, I believe it's untrue for people to tell others they immediately go to heaven- they often ignore all the other verses and focus on only 3 to support that theory, which are often misinterpreted. They say Jesus said in this day you will see me in paradise- but 2 things: Jesus can make exceptions for whomever he wants, and second, paradise isn't necessarily heaven, but may be the waiting place before judgment. Then they say Paul said apart from the body with the Lord, but 2 things: 1. It doesn't say it, it says Paul would "rather" be with the Lord, he didn't say in 100% of all cases if you are dead that you are automatically with the Lord. If that was true, what about people who go to hell- are they "with the Lord" too? Also people who die may not be separated from their bodies yet. And finally they say, yeah, but Elijah went to heaven. God can do whatever he wants- Moses had a talking bush- does that mean you get one? Noah built an ark- does that mean everyone has arks? Just because God gave someone extra attention doesn't mean it automatically applies to 100% of all people, all the time. It's interesting how some assume that concept applies to some verses, but not others.

When you continue to read scripture and you see verses like Daniel 12:2, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and it's hard to not just take it literally and believe exactly what it says. I believe what God says over what any man says.
